Staff attentiveness: Not the best, unfortunately. Given a card key and then told to get a physical key from Reception confused me as I have no idea what the card key was supposed to be used for.
On my first day, I was searching where to get 'Bakes & Cakes' and a staff member just replied "Over there" pointing her hand in a direction (that I was unfamiliar to having just arrived) and walked off. I thankfully found her again and asked again, quickly explaining that I just arrived (before she would walk off again) to which she apologised and gave clearer guidance.

Flies around the Bakes and Cakes and hot drink machines were VERY off putting.
We had a mixture of sunshine and rain and for some reason both doors and fans were open/ on which meant food was getting cold quickly.
House keeping: Kind and friendly lady
Amenities: States 'tea and coffee making facilities' in room yet all I had was a kettle, 2 cups with spoons and 2 glasses.
Air con: On my first day, I was hot, so as I turned on the air con, black dust or something flew onto the other bed. Thankfully I was one person, so I slept on the one bed but this put me off having the air con on again.
Jacuzzi: Quite disgusting! I could feel I was sitting on grainy bits and when I got out, I had various bits all over my body. This is the first time I have experienced that from a Jacuzzi - really disgusting ans unhygienic.
Entertainment: POOR! On my first official morning here I was really looking forward to 'Aqua gym' and had double checked at reception that it was still going to go on despite the light rain. Reception told me it was, so I went to put on my bathing suit and waited by the North pool side (once I found it)... Aqua gym never happened!

Really great meal at the Mandarin restaurant! The interior decorations were beautiful and the food was super tasty too. Really great service by Chetani, he was super friendly, attentive and welcoming which added to the nice atmosphere of the place.

I recently stayed at this MGM Hotel in Albufeira, Portugal, and unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly rude and unwelcoming. Not once did they attempt a polite conversation—instead, we were met with death stares any time we asked a question from the moment we arrived.
At one point on the day we had arrived, we simply asked where the all inclusive bar was, and the staff member shrugged and said, “I don’t know”… despite clearly working there. The attitude throughout our stay was unhelpful and dismissive.
The food provided under the “all-inclusive” deal was another huge letdown. Everything we were served was stone cold—not once did we receive a hot meal, which made the dining experience very unpleasant.
To make matters worse, we were told we needed to sign a document stating a €100 refundable deposit per apartment. But then we were suddenly told we had to pay €100 per person, which wasn’t explained in the paperwork. After asking around, we discovered other guests wasn’t asked for this—so it felt like we were being unfairly targeted.
All in all, this hotel completely failed to meet basic standards of hospitality, communication, and transparency. I would strongly advise choosing a different place to stay in Albufeira.

An outdated decom. Close to all bars, restaurants and shops. Very pleasant and professional service especially Carla who was very friendly and caring throughout our stay. The highlights of the holiday was it's close to the nearest beach (10-20min walking distance). Rooms are equipped with everything you need inc. Iron, ironing board, kettle, microwave... etc. MGM hotels group is spread across different sites where you can use facilities there anywhere inc. Jac's restaurant, Sauna, jacuzzi... etc

Stayed here for my first visit to Portugal and the service was 10/10! Receptionist rob, Jean and Carla were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating! I needed help with surprise birthday arrangements and they were more than accommodating! The food options are immaculate but if you want to eat from the speciality restaurants try and reserve it on the first day because they’re booked weeks ahead and we didn’t get to try one. The rooms are slightly older than pictured but overall a very great experience and I’ll recommend 10/10
