Me and my sister had a really lovely stay here. would definitely recommend. Food was mostly okay could have been a little better and the rooms were quite humid and we found it hard to cool down but was out most of the day anyway, rooms itself was clean and the cleaners often came in to change bedding and refresh towels. The location itself was great, very close to everything you need. Multiple pools with lots of free sunbeds along with a beautiful sky bar with a glass pool this specifically was a massive highlight for us! Staff where always very helpful and kind would 100% come back

Do not stay in this hotel. Worst hotel experience we have had.
Me & my partner had our holiday booked from January, to stay the start of September. As many people we worked hard all year to pay for it and have been looking forward to it all year long.
Upon arrival, we approached the male receptionist (bald with glasses) and were hit with a cold welcome. Gave us our room number and shown us on a map where it was. Dragged our cases up hill to our room and instantly I burst into tears. The room was appalling. Tiny, live wires sticking out from the ceiling, no plugs working. Managed to get a room change through Jet2 which was much better.
We then payed for our safe on the second day as reception wouldn’t let us do it on arrival (found that weird). €20 to pay and €20 deposit. When we were checking out, we took our room keys and safe key back to reception. The receptionist (different to the one we had on check in) told us our safe deposit wasn’t logged so we won’t be getting it back! I said to her “how would we have a safe key if we hadn’t paid for it?” She responded with “we sometimes give them out” ? So some people get them for free and others have to pay €40!? We was appalled I know it’s only €20 but they already had a lot of money out of us and it is the principle of it! We had to go for our transfer then so didn’t have time to take it any further but it’s safe to say we would not be returning even if someone paid us!! I think the owner of the hotel needs to have a rethink about the staff they have on their reception (besides Bradley I think his name was. The British guy, he was lovely and helpful). Rude attitudes and robbing tendencies. I’ve seen another review about someone being robbed too. Looks like it’s not just Veronica’s strip where you need to hide your belongings. Do not make the same mistake as us.

Upon arrival guy on reception not very helpful at all ,just gave us a map, room very outdated table coming away from the wall and plaster all cracked ,curtain ripped, had to scan a QR code to get the WiFi and join a WhatsApp service to ask for any services we required ,ie,bed change ,towels change ,room clean ,which was done very quickly but only when we asked for it ,it wasn't a regular thing ,bathroom wasn't cleaned once in the 2 weeks we were there ,pool area not very well looked after , bins full ,parasols just chucked on the floor ,we walked through to the other complex and what a difference just perfect ,clean and very inviting,. It wasn't until we were leaving that we checked under the bed to make sure we hadn't left anything that we saw at least an inch of dust ,the beds haven't been moved for months ,.all in all having paid £2500 this place is awful ,only plus was the bed was very comfy and huge

Staff at the hotel Los Olivos (specifically at reception and pool bar areas) are definitely not suited to the hospitality industry. No concept of customer service - verging on rude. No actually, just rude. No eye contact, no smile, no welcome. One word responses to almost every enquiry - usually NO or Not Possible. They look like they really do not want to be there. The above briefly describes our experiences with the guy manning the reception desk. I'm mean this is where people get their first impressions on the place.
The service at the pool bar is deplorable. When there is a staff member available - which seems to be hit and miss, they are too busy having full blown conversations with their colleagues to serve the waiting customers. This happened across multiple days. One instance where I stood at the bar, eventually made eye contact with the server but still had to wait almost 15 minutes – not an exaggeration – for him to finish his conversation just so I could place an order for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. After day 3 of the holiday we stopped going to the pool bar altogether.
All of the above is really a shame as the hotel itself is nice enough and in a good location. Just goes to show the impact the staff can have on any establishment I guess.

We stayed here for 2 weeks at the start of August and were concerned by the reviews before we went but we were happily surprised by our experience.
Customer Service:
we had emailed the hotel a number of times before we went to try and ensure we could access their car park as we had a hire car, and was completely ignored, however on arrival found the reception helpful, polite and friendly. We paid 10 Euro per day to park in their private car park and never had an issue getting a space.
We had to wait for around an hour past the stated check in time for our room to be ready but the receptionist kept checking in with housekeeping and kept us well informed.
Room:
We had booked a Gold 1 bed apartment and it was located right at the back of the hotel, which has some steep ramps and numerous stairs to access which was only really a challenge when dragging all our luggage but otherwise wasn't an issue but could see some less able guests might find it more of a challenge.
The room was modern, spacious and clean with large balcony and roof terrace with great views.
There was AC in both the bedroom and lounge area and both worked well.
The room was cleaned every other day and always had fresh towels.
Upon arrival we were missing a couple of pillows but which was resolved immediately.
Pools: pools were warm, and clean; there was no management of sun loungers and these were largely reserved by towels by the time.we got up most days which was inconvenient. If the hotel scrapped the large bali beds (which are not used in the two weeks by anyone) and put out more loungers, as well as managed the reserving of beds when not using them then this would be a great improvement.
Restaurant: located in the hotel next door but all in the same complex, the breakfast was great with nice food and a good selection, it did get busy at times and there was a short queue for a table but only as the restaurant staff couldn't cope and couldn't clear tables and reset quick enough.
Dinner was nice quality but got a but samey with limited selection, so we chose to eat out every couple of nights. There was never an issue getting a table at dinner. Staff all friendly and helpful.
Location: right on thr front line next to the beach, location.was absolutely perfect. Only annoyance was that the doors to the rear of the hotel were always out of order and so a long walk round when should have been directly next to our room.
Entertainment: only an occasional singer in the restaurant, but nothing for kids or during he day. This didn't bother us but might some.
Generally we found the hotel in good condition, clean, presentable and with good amenities in a great location. We had a great holiday.
The hotel could be fantastic with some quick fixes, but please don't be put off or worried if you've booked!
