We stayed here for 4 nights. Accessing the hotel by public transport was easy, and it was in walking distance to everything we needed. Staff were nice and we didn’t have any issues. Room wasn’t anything special but it was spacious and clean. Balcony was nice. Bathroom was very small but was still good. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, they had everything you could think of. The pool was good.

My advice is to find another hotel if you have specific health or accessibility needs. We booked two standard rooms with bathtubs for medical reasons, but upon arrival, we were given two tiny rooms (half the size) with only showers.
The hotel staff showed no flexibility and simply said they were 'full.' If you are looking for a hotel that honors its reservations and cares about its guests' health requirements, look elsewhere. There are many other hotels in the area that are more reliable and professional.

I have stayed at the Hotel Oro Negro over a dozen times in the last three years and only once was I given a room I didn't like ,When I went to the reception I requested another room and after a few minutes the problem was resolved satisfactorily. The reception staff are always very helpful and friendly and welcoming. The food I find there is a good choice either cooked or a good salad choice. My room has always been made up more than efficiency by housekeeping , I have looked at other options but they are overpriced. I am due to return in early December for two weeks, This being my third stay this year and I have already booked two trips for next year. so far . Thank to everyone at the Oro Negro for making my stays welcoming ones.

We had a very pleasant stay at Catalonia Oro Negro. The services were good overall, and Monica from the reception was especially kind and helpful. We also received a free room upgrade, which was a lovely surprise.
The breakfast buffet offered plenty of options for everyone, and there was also the possibility to have dinner buffet-style, with many choices each evening. Both at breakfast and dinner there were chefs cooking on the spot – preparing omelettes and pancakes in the morning, and fish or meat in the evening right in front of the guests.
The cocktails at the bar were very good, especially the piña colada. Everyone working at the reception, bar, restaurant, and housekeeping was very friendly and welcoming.
The room was comfortable and suitable for a couple. One thing we didn’t like was that the bathroom developed an unpleasant smell from the drainage system at some point, but it eventually resolved on its own.
The hotel is in a great location — very close to the beach, with a supermarket just 5 minutes away, and various restaurants within a 10-minute walk.
If you visit Tenerife, must-see attractions include the Mariposarium, Masca, Teide, the Dragon Tree, and Loro Parque.
Overall, a very enjoyable stay and we would gladly return!

I have stayed at Oro Negro twice before, and I have always been happy with my room and overall experience. Unfortunately, during my most recent stay (third visit) I was disappointed due to a significant cockroach issue in our room.
I understand that seeing the occasional cockroach in Tenerife is normal, but we experienced an infestation…for example, we had ten in one night. We reported this to the front desk, and the room was sprayed, but the same issue occurred again the following night.
We requested to move rooms because it was so unpleasant and made it impossible to relax when in our room. However, we were told that nothing could be done. This situation affected our stay, and as a result, I do not feel comfortable returning in the future.
I wanted to share this feedback so the issue can be addressed for future guests
