The hotel is located a bit away from the beach. The common areas are fresh and recently renovated, but the pool and pool area feel too small compared to the number of guests using them. Overall, this is unfortunately not a premium experience.
Several things that are usually included come with extra charges here: pool towels require a deposit, the in-room safe comes with a fee, and even weighing your luggage before departure costs extra.
The rooms are spacious, but the interior is worn and not very up to date. The balconies are small and practically only useful for drying swimwear, unless you have a pool view. The air conditioning is noisy, and the walls and doors are thin – expect to hear your neighbors.
Breakfast is mediocre. The juice tastes more like cordial than juice, the coffee is poor, and the selection overall is uninspiring. The only highlight is the made-to-order omelets.
A big plus is the rooftop bar – it’s cozy in the evening, and the staff working there are great.
Unfortunately, the entire stay was overshadowed by a serious issue: I got bites during the first night, and after a few days it became clear that it was bedbugs. When I stripped the bed myself, I found both bugs and traces of them. The hotel moved me to a new room, but the handling after that was inadequate. Dealing with bedbugs is a major inconvenience – changing rooms, cancelling travel plans, and having to completely sanitize all belongings before returning home. Despite this, I was only offered one night’s compensation as “goodwill.”
What made matters worse was that the hotel between the lines implied I had brought the bedbugs with me. They claimed the beds had recently been replaced, making it unlikely for them to have been there before. This is simply incorrect and shows a lack of knowledge – anyone working with pest control knows that replacing beds alone is never enough to solve a bedbug problem. There is no doubt they were already present.
Bedbugs can occur even in reputable hotels, but the difference lies in how it is handled. Professional hotels don’t blame their guests, and they make sure to compensate them fairly. Sadly, that was not the case here.
I will not be staying at this hotel again.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, with close transport links to neighbouring cities, about a 15min walk to the beach, and a very short walk away from a strip of bars and restaurants.
Unfortunately, the hotel does not deserve a 4 star rating. When we asked to check in we were told to wait as the receptionist’s shift had ended. Not a problem, we sat in the reception (which looked quite recently renovated).
About 15 minutes later someone came behind the reception and another guest went up to them, to complain about an infestation of ants in their room. The receptionist refused to let the guests move to another room, and said that they basically had to sleep with ants. Not a great start.
I went over to check in and although the initial meeting was friendly the receptionist then got onto the phone to his colleague and was raising his voice complaining about the boss, saying that he needed to access a safe. Not a conversation to be having (very angrily) in the reception.
The lifts in the hotel are tiny, have a capacity of 4 people, are extremely small and thud between floors, seeming like it is waiting to break down.
We got into the room and although it was maintained well at first glance, there was black mold in the shower, dust all over the closet and dirt inside the AC vents. We also noticed ants coming in from the balcony.
I pulled the sheets back to check the mattress and found what was either traces of bedbugs, or just very poorly maintained sheets (see attached image).
Unfortunately would not stay here again, despite its prime location, due to the poor maintenance in the rooms and unfriendly reception.

Nice hotel and good location-close to the beach- about 10-20 minutes walking. Has a swimming pool. I didn’t understand why it is Adults recommended but it did not bother us even though I did not notice it when booking through a third party app. Their breakfast is very good, rich and generous. Generally speaking I would not consider
it 4 stars hotel but I believe in Europe it is considered 4 stars.
I recommend this place though, it is clean and comfortable.

I recently stayed at Hotel Costa Malaga By Pierre & Vacances, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!
From the moment I arrived, everything was seamless. Check-in was quick and easy, which was a relief after a long day of travel. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, always greeting with a smile and happy to assist with anything I needed.
The room was clean, comfortable, and just what I was looking for – a perfect place to relax after exploring the city. And the location couldn’t have been better! It was close to key attractions, great restaurants, and had easy access to public transport.
Overall, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Torremolinos!

It’s okay, but it’s very far from the beach because of the stairs. The pool is way too small for the number of hotel guests, and there aren’t enough sunbeds—if you don’t get there early, you’re out of luck. We wanted to check in at 2:30 PM, while the website says 2:00 PM. Luckily, we were allowed to swim, but we had to change in the dirty restroom. In the end, at 2:30 PM we still couldn’t check in because there was no electricity… I mean, shouldn’t there be some emergency plan? At that point, I was done, especially since we had already taken a flight. Fortunately, when I raised my voice a little, they started thinking of a solution. We still had to take the stairs to the 6th floor because her emergency key didn’t work. Luckily, a cleaner was there who could open the door.
The breakfast is really disappointing. There are so many different types of eggs, but the variety of other food is minimal. So if you’re vegan or vegetarian, you have very few options—it’s not ideal. The balcony in the room is small. And finally, I really missed explanations about the Wi-Fi code, suggestions for activities, or even just being informed what time breakfast is served or that there’s a sky bar—you have to find out yourself. This is not a 4-star hotel; it’s a 3-star hotel.
