Such a lovely place with genuinely friendly people, delicious food at the buffet and beautiful surroundings. We’ve been to this area before, but this stay felt really special as it was our first time at this hotel.
With two little ones, we always look for somewhere the whole family can enjoy, and thanks to the two brilliant entertainers our children had the best time playing with them and the other kids.
A wonderful experience – we’ll be more than happy to return next summer xx

Very nice hotel in a good location about a 15 minute stroll to the beach.
The restaurant staff were lovely, there were a couple on reception that weren't as nice or helpful but in the main very good.
Food was good, plenty of choice but like all buffets very "samey" after a couple of days - breakfast was definitely the best meal.

I came here with some hope, drawn in by the name “Playa” and the four-star promise, but I left feeling more disappointed than anything else. Despite being called a beach hotel, it’s actually nowhere near the beach. You rely on a shuttle (free, thankfully), but the setting is far from what you imagine when booking a “Playa” holiday.
The hotel itself feels tired. The pool is about the size you’d expect in a private Spanish home, not in a resort, and the whole place is really in need of an upgrade. It feels small, dated, and not deserving of its four stars.
There were some good points: it was clean, the breakfast buffet was decent, and most of the staff were kind, though the reception team seemed a little jaded. The guest mix is very much dominated by English tourists, with some Spanish visitors as well.
In the end, it just wasn’t what I was hoping for. If you absolutely must be in Albir, then this hotel is serviceable. But if you’re dreaming of a warm-weather holiday by the sea, there are hundreds of better—and often cheaper—choices.

Great place any time of year - always stay here when in l'albir - staff great - food fine great choices daily - a home from home - pay for 5th floor - avoid high summer if you aren't a fan of children otherwise have fun -, easy walk to med - Spa a definite bonus

We stayed at this hotel expecting a 4-star experience, but it felt closer to 3 stars.
Pros:
Great location, right next to a Lidl and within walking distance of the beach. Was also good to have transport to the local beach.
The hotel was generally clean, AC worked well and some staff members were very friendly.
Food offered a decent variety, though vegetarian options that weren't just vegetables were very limited.
The pool bar food & drinks were good quality and portions were big altough the menu didn't list the ingredients properly (e.g. Didn't say that beef burger had bacon in it).
Cons:
Limited taxi service, even waiting an hour for a taxi, staff with local knoweldge were not very helpful and should have advised
The pool only opened at 10am, was usually crowded, and sometimes caused disputes among guests.
Our room had limited storage, no bathroom shelves, and one side of the bed lacked power sockets.
The balcony door didn’t lock properly and noise at night from the street and hallways made it hard to sleep.
Very difficult to find clean glasses in the restaurant as most of them had stains and food stuck to them.
Overall, a nice hotel but falls short of true 4-star standards.
