Fantastic stay here, beautiful hotel, lovely rooms and friendly staff. 2 adults and 1 child and we had plenty of space. It's in a family friendly area of Benidorm and just a 10 min walk to the beach. The pool is just incredible, never seen one so big and it was also clean. Always managed to find a sunbed despite being in the peak of summer, although this was more tricky around midday. Breakfast buffet was great, plenty of choice and all seemed fresh. The only negatives I can think of are the costs of the mini bar, extortionate prices which no one will pay when Lidl is right outside. Also the wait for the lifts can be long at times. Would definitely return to this hotel in the future

This hotel is a must for everyone! Beautiful outside and inside with comfortable rooms, friendly stuff, nice food, THE BEST pool with plenty of loungers and sun shades, green trees, bushes and palms and a nice daily music and show making your stay 100% satisfaction! The pool is also great for people with reduced mobility or small kids with its easy stair free access. The evening show in the yard is absolutely brilliant offering shows for every age for free while you enjoy a drink or food from its bars all the time. It is luxurious, convenient, child friendly and quiet during the night. The receptionists Belén and Marcus are super helpful for whatever you need. I will keep booking this hotel for all my holidays!

We had a lovely stay at Melia. We were in a Level room so the care and detail was really nice. The rooms themselves are a bit tired but still adequate. Service, staff and attention to detail made up for the room. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would return again with the same Level experience. Good value.

A hugely enjoyable stay 🤩 Pool is just brilliant and glass elevator a must. Arcade and gym were brilliant. But sadly, Jacuzzi was out of service 😞
Staff were wonderfully helpful and rooms were perfectly clean with AC, and what a view!
Breakfast is madly busy and could be improved in a few ways, but very tasty 😋
Luggage service was helpful, as well as safes in rooms 🔐 Tropical 🌴 Theme throughout characterises the hotel 🏨

⭐ “Not a 4-star hotel… barely a 2 ⭐⭐”
We stayed at Meliá Benidorm (Alicante) from August 21 to 26 and the experience was extremely disappointing. This property is far from the standard of a 4-star hotel.
🔴 Room condition: The door frame was damaged, the door did not close properly, the ceiling had humidity stains, lamps were rusty (see photos), bed sheets were old and torn, mattress completely worn out (I suffered neck pain during the whole stay), and pillows very uncomfortable.
🔴 Serious issue with the baby crib: We requested a crib for our 8-month-old baby. On the 4th day we discovered the sheets smelled like vomit, and worse, inside the crib there was an old baby bottle full of spoiled milk that wasn’t ours. This proves the crib was never cleaned or checked before giving it to us. My baby slept for 4 days in dirty sheets and a moldy mattress. Completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one that claims to be family-friendly.
🔴 Customer service: When reporting this to reception, no real solution was offered. Only thanks to two housekeeping ladies did we manage to get clean sheets. At check-out the only “compensation” was a 2-hour late check-out.
🔴 Food quality: We booked half board and surprisingly even water is not included. They turn off the water machines and force you to buy bottled water. Food quality was very poor – tasteless dishes, terrible paella. Only breakfast was decent. Most days we preferred eating outside the hotel.
🔴 Pools & maintenance: The indoor heated pool and main pool were full of black mold on tiles. Hallways and common areas are visibly deteriorated and poorly maintained (see photos).
🔴 Kids Club – unsafe: The Kids Club staff left my 5-year-old daughter alone near the pool crying, just because I arrived 15 minutes late to pick her up. They never called me or kept her in a safe place. This is a serious safety risk that cannot be tolerated in a family hotel.
🔴 Unhealthy environment: Smoking is allowed everywhere, including sunbeds by the pool, right next to children. There are no separated non-smoking areas, which makes it very unpleasant and unsafe for families.
📌 Conclusion:
This hotel is nowhere near a 4-star standard. Very poor maintenance, lack of hygiene, low-quality food, unprofessional customer service, and most concerning: child safety is not guaranteed.
We will not return and do not recommend it to families looking for cleanliness, safety, or quality.
