DB San Antonio Resort 🏖️ was ticking most of the boxes for an all-inclusive stay – but there are definitely a few things that could make it even better 👇 What could be improved: 😐 Staff could be a bit more welcoming – everyone seemed overworked and tired. A little smile goes a long way! 🕰️ Reception is constantly busy – not all guests are checking in. A third desk for quick tasks (like towel cards or general queries) would really help. 🍽️ Dining had good variety, but the mix could be better – started to feel repetitive after a couple of days. 🚰 Water dispensers are only near the lift lobbies – would be more convenient if they were available on every floor or even in rooms. What we loved: 👶 The children's pool area is fantastic – clean, well-designed, and separate from the main pool. 📍 Perfect location – easy for walks, and there's a supermarket + shops right outside the hotel. 🌞 Plenty of sun loungers by the pool, and two pool bars 🍹 🍷 Self-service soft drinks and alcohol, including wine on tap – fun and convenient! 🧼 Room service & cleaning were excellent – always spotless. Good to know: 🚗 Parking is €5/day 🧻 Pool towels work on a deposit system – €10 per towel card Would I come back? Definitely 👌 – just hope they lighten the load on the staff and tweak a few things for a smoother experience.

Our family holiday at the dB San Antonio Hotel + Spa was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The hotel's Moorish-style architecture added a unique charm, and the location in St. Paul's Bay was perfect for exploring Malta's beauty. The all-inclusive package was a dream come true. The variety of restaurants offered delicious cuisines, catering to every taste. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Special shoutout to the entertainment team for keeping the kids engaged with fun activities while we enjoyed some downtime. The nearby attractions, like the National Aquarium, were easily accessible and added to the experience. Overall, dB San Antonio is a fantastic choice for families seeking a blend of relaxation, adventure, and luxury.

We visited as a couple having been guided by our travel agent that this hotel was ideal for a central location for exploring. The premises is just down the road from the local bus station, and has good links to all areas. The hotel is very clean and has good overall facilities with an indoor and outdoor pools, spa and gym. A main buffet style restaurant with a wide selection of foods, all with good flavours to suit all tastes. This was very busy at most times. There are also three separate restaurants that can be booked, if you are all inclusive you are allowed one visit per week without extra cost. We visited Tagine which was Indian Moroccan, great food and flavours. The room we were allocated was on the 9th floor, but the lifts are excellent, and our room had a lovely sea view. Always very clean and well serviced by our excellent attendant Baburam. Unlike some hotels where you are charged for water and tea/coffee, there’s was ample in the room, and water machines for filling bottles, as the water on the island from taps is described as unpottable. Entertainment in the evenings was very varied, we did enjoy one solo act who sang and played the Appalachian Lap Guitar, other than that, much of the entertainment wasn’t to our taste, and the bar was quite noisy. This a beautiful but very busy hotel, if you want a quieter and more intimate holiday it may not be for you, but the benefits of travel links, location and price for an early year getaway were good for us. All the staff were excellent, very warm and welcoming.

I love this hotel. Ideally placed at St. Paul’s Bay 160m from the bus station that gets you all over the island. Staff are very helpful and informative, always with a smile. The rooms are lovely and bright. The food is great, plenty to choose from in main restaurant and three other specialty restaurants to visit as part of All Inclusive. There were a few negatives, nothing major, easily fixed things like: the staff cleaning the stairs at 6am were banging the metal railings on every step so ask for a room away from stairwell. The food in the speciality restaurants was the same each time, could possibly alternate different dishes. In saying that, this was my second visit to this hotel and I would happily return again.

I stayed at this hotel in February, and I would never have guessed it was supposed to be a 5-star hotel. The food was very basic – nothing special at all. The rooms were also average in quality. We had a lot of issues during check-in. We were supposed to get a room with two beds, but were given one with just one bed. Later, we were moved to another room, but they didn’t register us under the new room number, which caused problems when we tried to book tables at the restaurants. The overall standard definitely doesn’t match that of a 5-star hotel. On the patio, there was no music, no one around, no service – I felt like I was in a retirement home.

Had 7 days at this hotel in April 2025 and had a fabulous time. Arrived at reception to early to get in room, but Camillia booked us in and we were able to put or luggage into secured room. Our room was wonderful, beautiful sea view and was cleaned every day and coffee and tea topped up. We went half-board and wow the food was excellent, so much choice and was presented so well, buffet style, cooked to prefection and restaurant staff very attentive. Reception staff so friendly and always polite, would always acknowledge us as we passed by and would help us whenever they could. Was a little apprehensive when we were informed that there was building work and read some previous reviews before we went which sounded bad, but never bothered us at all, no early morning noise or banging and was not a building site like some reviews had said. We would go back to this hotel again it was brilliant.

A Stellar hotel with great service, truely worth its 4 stars. Upon being greeted at the front desk for the check-in i was given a complimentary glass of orange juice which was very welcoming. My room was nice and clean and every day there was room service to clean my room, i once even found that some clothes i left on the chair were folded and placed back on my bed which surprised me but it's a very nice gesture. As for food, i took the breakfast buffet once not long before it closed and it was sufficient for me, however i found that there werent any soft-boiled eggs or bacon, it could be that i didnt see it in a rush or it wasnt there. The hotel offers lots of drinking & dining options aswell as many great relaxation facilities! As a last note, i saw that there was some construction happening which brought me some concern but in the end it didnt bother me that much, the construction started and stopped at fair hours so i could still get some good sleep.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is perfect, with a balcony offering a breathtaking view of the sea. Watching the sunset in the evening and the sunrise early in the morning was truly magical. The staff was friendly and very helpful — they assisted us in resolving an issue with the agency, which tried to deceive us by booking a standard room with a view of a wall, even though we had paid for a sea-view room. Thanks to the hotel staff, the situation was quickly resolved, and we enjoyed the stunning view we had initially chosen. Overall, it was an amazing experience, and we would definitely return!

I normally down write reviews about hotels but the experience at this one was so particularly bad I feel like I have to share. While communicating with this hotel we given false information about the property itself and its amenities. Upon arrival we were greeted with inconsiderate staff and receptionists. The facilities at this hotel were not clean and obviously not maintained well. After dropping our bags and waiting for check in we had lunch down the street and noticed about 5 other hotels, all nicer and better maintained. Quite disappointed with this we ignored it and said we would wait to see how nice the beach pool area was, which was the main and only reason we chose the Preluna Hotel. To our incredible disappointment and anger, the pool and restaurant bar were closed and filled with garbage and filth. The pool was the main reason we booked at this hotel and we had called 3 TIMES before check in to make sure that it was open during are stay. When we went to complain to the front they were rude and unhelpful utterly unprofessional. we decided to go find a hotel elsewhere for our stay because we were uncertain with how the cleanliness of the rooms would be. We asked for a refund and to talk with the manager but were once again rudely brushed off, we just took our struggles as a sign to move on, counted our losses, and moved into a better hotel which was so much more beautiful! Malta itself is stunning and has so many incredible cheap hotels so I would absolutely recommend staying away from this one. Hope this helps someone who is considering finding a place to stay in malta!

This is a wonderful hotel with lovely staff throughout and good choices of food. Paying for a seaview room is definitely recommended. However unfortunately I can't award 5 stars as there was only 1 working lift which results in long waits trying to get in and out of your room. And as the previous poster said the attention to detail on the cleaning was poor. The cleaners were lovely and replaced everything daily, however the shower screen, fridge door, balcony,bath tiles and many other places remained stained and dirty throughout our stay. It wasn't just the room as the lift, outside of our door and the areas in the lounge, dining room and the downstairs toilet just weren't cleaned thoroughly in 3 weeks. I didn't see a head housekeeper doing inspections as I would have expected. It really needs to be addressed. All in all despite the ongoing work and poor attention to housekeeping I would always recommend this hotel.

Stayed during UK half-term holidays. The resort was excellent. The service was always very friendly and professional. The setting was beautiful, our room overlooked the bay and the views were stunning. It was lovely to be able to walk down to the beach, and there is a little cafe there with snacks and drinks option. The indoor swimming pool with spa and sauna was a lovely option too when it got too cold or dark. We left something very important in our hotel room when we checked out and the staff went above and beyond to look for the item, keep me informed and sent the item back without delay. Sign of a high quality hotel. Will def be back.

We stayed in the duplex suite with private beach access and it was superb. The interiors of the modern rooms are really beautiful. Ankit is an incredible General Manager who looked after us throughout our stay and is definitely as asset to Radisson! The private beach is wonderful and our kids really enjoyed it.

I had and excellent stay! I asked for an VIP upgrade to a Sands Tower One Bedroom Suite and they offered me a special price for it. The Suite itself is unbelievable. Very big, modern and so comfortable. The balcony is very big and I enjoyed relaxing there in the January sun 🌞 Staff in general is nice and helpful. The Spa is amazing. Breakfast rich and delicious. At weekend it was annoying crowded but at the weekdays it was quiet and enjoyable. As Radisson Rewards VIP member I had a lot of stays in different Radisson hotels, so I have to fairly compare the benefits for my ratings. In other hotels of the Radisson group there were some special treatments at the check-in and welcome amenities in the room. Here in the Radisson Golden Sands there were no special counter (maybe because it was so crowded because of weekend), no special welcome and not even an amenity on my birthday, even though I had mentioned that when booking and at the check-in. Also they said they will call me if the room is ready. But they didn't so I was waiting again in the line at the check-in. That's why I gave a lower rating just for service. But anyway, I really enjoyed the stay and I highly recommend the hotel.

From the moment we arrived, everything was top notch. The staff went above and beyond – kind, professional, always smiling and making sure we felt welcome. A huge thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable! Our room was spacious, beautifully clean, and had the most gorgeous sea view – we couldn’t have asked for better. The bed was heavenly, and we loved having a private balcony to soak in the Maltese sunshine. The breakfast buffet was fantastic – so much variety, fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented in the bright and open dining area. Every morning felt like a treat! Well presented, up to get her resort with all the usual facilities, not that we use them. Service was faultless from room service to breakfast. Breakfast was a buffet with everything that anyone could want (even curry!!). There were daily variations and food was tasty and cooked well. It gets busy later on but staff cope very well. Alway helpful and friendly. Pools are good views of sea from rooms are good and to be honest it was as good as an experience as we've ever had. Another good thing that I didn't know was important untill we arrived is it's away from the roads/streets. It's set back couple of hundred meters or so. That is a valuable asset! Happily go back.

Gorgeous hotel! Staff were so polite, friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic! Can't fault the place. We stayed in November 2024. Pool side just great. There was also a Pianist in the evening, both were fabulous. The Operation Manager Ahmed who was from Egypt and the Security Manager both really lovely guys and funny too! There are also a couple of restaurants to the side of the hotel that are on the complex and they were just great, food great and the staff adorable. Views from our rooms were beautiful. There is also a well equipped gym. I took the advice from Ahmed to eat like a king in the morning, and I followed that advice throughout the day! Hence my clothes were a little tighter when I arrived home!!!

My husband booked this hotel for my birthday trip. While wr have learned, we are not fans of St. Julian's, we loved our time at the Westin Dragonara Resort. It is busy, there are different events happening there (business meetings, weddings etc), but it maintains it class and elegance. The staff is incredibly sweet and friendly. Breakfast offers a huge ever changing selection of local specialties and global favorites and the pool is heated, which our daughter loved. They were even kind enough to support my husband with decorating our room for my birthday. The maid was so sweet with our daughter and surprised her with a towel animal and a note. We loved our stay there!

**A Wonderful Stay for Our 25th Anniversary 🎉** We spent 4 nights at the Radisson Blu St. Julian’s to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, and we’re so glad we chose this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff made our stay feel extra special. Prior to arrival, my husband emailed to mention the occasion and requested a room with a nice sea view. We were delighted to be allocated a room on the 5th floor with a stunning, uninterrupted view of the north-west coast. As a lovely and thoughtful gesture, the bed was beautifully decorated with towel swans and rose petals, and a bottle of rosé wine was waiting for us. Such a sweet surprise! The room itself was large, clean and serviced daily. The beds were huge and incredibly comfortable, and we loved the different lighting options available, which gave the room a cozy, customizable ambiance. We arrived late on our first night (around 9:45 PM) and ordered room service. The service was prompt and the food was delicious – exactly what we needed after a long day of travel. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. The buffet offered an impressive variety: continental, full English, a cereal station, freshly cooked eggs (omelettes, poached, fried), and plenty of options for those who are lactose or gluten intolerant. Every staff member we interacted with was kind, friendly, and helpful. A special thank you to **Dileep at Le Bistro**, who went above and beyond to accommodate my dietry requirements. He consulted with the chef to adjust dishes so I could enjoy them without any worries – truly appreciated! We’d also like to give a shoutout to **Lil at the Concierge desk**. On our first day, he gave us excellent suggestions for things to see in Valletta. On our last day, he kindly looked after our luggage after checkout and kept an eye out for our airport pickup. He was warm, professional, and incredibly helpful. --- **A Few Minor Points:** While our overall experience was wonderful, there are a couple of small areas for improvement: - The **half-board dinner menu** could benefit from at least one dairy-free dessert option other than fruit platter at both Le Bistro and the Kontiki buffet. - The **bedroom floor** looked a bit worn and scratched, which gave it a slightly tired appearance. - There were **no plug sockets near the bedside tables**, which was slightly inconvenient. --- Despite these minor things, we had a **fabulous stay** and would not hesitate to return. The hospitality and attention to detail truly made our anniversary trip memorable. Thank you to all the amazing staff at Radisson Blu St. Julian’s!

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with exceptional service that set the tone for our entire stay. My parents stayed 1 night to celebrate my father's birthday and they had a very lovely stay. Staff was very welcoming and kind. The room was clean and has all the essentials. Stunning sea view balcony. They really enjoyed it. We then followed on Sunday for their buffet and it was superb! Staff again was very kind served by Marisa, Bishnu and Libin. They were all very welcoming and helpful, coming frequently to check on us. Lovely atmosphere, buffet with a LOT (hence on the Chapital letters) of varieties, whether you want seat food to meat, pasta, sushi, asain.. you name it. Super recommend and not pricey for the selection and service you have. Again thank you Radisson and all the staff especially our host Marisa, Bishnu and Libin!

We stayed at AX The Palace Hotel in Malta for four nights and honestly had a great experience. The location is perfect, the restaurant was really good, and the staff were super friendly, polite and always happy to help. Our room was spacious, which was ideal for the three of us — especially with our 17-year-old son. The beds were large, super comfy, and the room was kept spotless thanks to the excellent daily housekeeping. The rooftop pool was a real highlight — a great spot to relax and enjoy the view. That said, there were just a couple of things that could definitely be improved. The Wi-Fi was pretty terrible — so bad that we ended up using mobile data most of the time. Also, the pool towels had quite a bad smell, which was a bit disappointing. Apart from these small issues, everything else was spot on, and we really enjoyed our stay. If they sort out the Wi-Fi and the towels, this hotel would be hard to beat!

Really nice hotel in the heart of Sliema - Got a fantastic deal for 5 nights so we couldn't say no. Room was beautiful with a free upgrade included and had everything that was needed. Staff is what made this place shine to us, service was phenomenal and most are really engaging and would spark conversation. Shout out specifically to the guys in the Talk of the Town Cafe. Breakfast is varied and tasty but nothing to write home about - Still couldn't fault it. Temptasian Restaurant was quite good although found service not to be as efficient compared to the rest of the hotel. Location can be an issue if you want the best of Malta at your door and would probably recommend a stay in Valetta specifically for that. However, in terms of a place to chill out and have some phenomenal restaurants and fantastic views close by - this is the place to be. Would absolutely come back.

Excellent location in Sliema. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The bed was comfortable and huge! (two doubles put together). All facilities were very clean. We enjoyed our stay but have not given full 5 stars as our air con didn’t work properly so the room was often too warm. Also the indoor poor is advertised in the welcome brochure/website as being open until 9pm, but when we visited at 8pm it was closed. We did enjoy the indoor pool on a different day though and the facilities with sauna and steam room were lovely.

Plus, the facilities, including the rooftop pool and spa, added an extra layer of relaxation to our stay. Overall, we couldn’t be happier with our time at AX Palace Malta. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a top-tier experience in Malta. We will definitely be returning in the future!

This is a good Hotel with excellent staff and service. The room is very spacious, clean with good facilities. The Hotel has a rooftop pool and an indoor pool as well, with a steam room and sauna, all free to use. The location is brilliant and a walking distance to the marina and city centre. We spent 5 nights at the hotel in February and would definitely stay there again.

I’ve stayed 3 times with my family (including 2 small kids). The first two times as a Hilton diamond member which gave us access to the exec lounge and breakfast buffet. Overall a great hotel. 4 pools—1 indoor, 1 adults only, 1 big one at the hotel and a seasonal one at the accompanying beach club. On site spa with gym and indoor pool/sauna for hotel guests. Breakfast at Oceana restaurant is great. Blue elephant Thai restaurant is among the best on the island. One of the better exec lounges I’ve seen—they do breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails/snacks.

One of the best Hilton properties I’ve stayed at in a very long time.staff was fantastic and were really attentive. Wonderful staff! Executive lounge was always stocked with food and drink. The hotel was very easy to get to. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable … The rooms are spacious, clean and well equipped with all you need. The front desk staff is very helpful and management is responsive. The hotel was very nice with good services, but could use some updating in some areas. The room was clean with a great view of the water. However, some wear was evident, especially in the bathroom. The gym was fantastic as was breakfast.highly recommend!

Had a lovely weeks stay in this hotel. Room was fabulous (marina side, large twin beds and luxury balcony). Very spacious and comfortable. Lots of storage. Marlon who serviced our room very day kept it immaculate. Service elsewhere very good. Breakfast plentiful and fresh. Very smart hotel and felt good value for money. Well located for bus stops, easy to get a taxi from. Some good restaurants nearby (The Avenue, Veranda). Thank you for a relaxing stay.

Great reception on arrival including a refreshment. Speedy check in and old fashioned but very grand interior. Concierge service also available. Very good sized rooms and includes everything you could need, some may consider dated but fits with the theme of the hotel. Buffet style breakfast available. Some areas of the hotel like the pool bars not up and running as we have come out of season. The location is excellent, a mere 5-10 minute walk to the gate of Valletta, leading to the centre. Overall would recommend it, very pleasant stay.

The ⭐ speaks for itself i would recommend this hotel 100 times over. All the staff are really helpful. The concierges are all good with knowledge of the area to help you plan your holiday. Rooms very clean bed was really comfy. It has a spa treatment area if you would like to relax one day. It has everything you need for a great stay.

We stayed at Grand Hotel Excelsior Malta, and our experience was mixed. On the positive side, the hotel has an excellent location, stunning views, comfortable beds, and high-quality linens. Breakfast was tasty and varied, the restaurant was good, and the staff was polite and tried to be helpful. A nice touch was the complimentary bottle of wine and water in the room, as well as the turndown service with a chocolate treat and closed curtains. However, the hotel is clearly outdated and in need of renovation, and the service falls short of five-star expectations. Main Issues: ❌ Rooms urgently need renovation – furniture, plumbing, and equipment are outdated. Although I specifically requested a renovated room in advance, I was given an old one with a non-functioning toilet. We reported it to the reception, but they couldn’t fix it. When we returned to the hotel in the evening, we had to switch rooms. ❌ Weak service in booking and additional services – The airport transfer was 25 minutes late, and the flowers I had ordered for arrival were only delivered the next evening (and I was charged for them!). The sparkling wine I requested was warm. ❌ Coffee in rooms and at breakfast is instant Nescafé, and proper coffee is available only at an extra charge. Also, no sparkling wine at breakfast, which is unusual for a 5★ hotel. ❌ Saunas require an additional fee, whereas in most five-star hotels, they are included in the stay. ❌ Billing issues at check-out – Upon departure, the hotel attempted to charge me again for my stay, even though I had already paid upon check-in. I had to present my receipt before they finally acknowledged the payment. Sadly, the luxury of this hotel seems to be a thing of the past.

Definitely 5 star hotel. It's very pleasing to the eye. Has a beautiful spa great place for some relaxation. Harbour and private beach. Bus station close by and attractions close by City Gate. Big fountain on the grounds. The hotel is just beautiful, but there are some areas that need updating. Big pool but was freezing 🥶. If you are on foot, a big hill to get to the top.

Can't fault the location. It puts you right in the centre of things and has a marvellous view towards Manoel island. Service has been excellent and my room is very comfortable. The food at both breakfast and dinner has been superb.
