Wow wow wow!
Booked this hotel for my husbands 40th birthday trip.
Upgraded to an executive room and we’re lucky enough to have the exec lounge 37steps from our room.
Fantastic location, on the sightseeing bus route, good for taxis and walks around the marina.
Couldn’t fault this hotel in any way, exceptional breakfast options. Brilliant bar and lounge.
Thoroughly enjoyed our 7days here!

We have stayed at a lot of Hiltons, but this has to be one of our favorites! The staff was amazing and took such good care of us. We let them know before arriving that we were celebrating birthdays and they left us a treat in our room. It was the kindest gesture. Additionally, the hotel sat right on the water, was super clean, and the rooms were so spacious. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a luxurious place to stay in Malta!

We checked out today after staying in room 217 and I felt compelled to leave this review because our experience at Hilton Malta was exceptional.
From the moment we arrived, every member of staff — from the porters to reception — was welcoming, professional, and genuinely friendly. Our luggage was taken to the room promptly, and the room itself was ready on arrival, which we were very grateful for. We also had a lovely view overlooking the marina.
Housekeeping maintained the room to a very high standard throughout our stay, with fresh towels provided daily. Any time we contacted reception — for example to request additional hangers — the service was incredibly efficient, with items delivered to our room within minutes, exactly as promised. The same applied to valet service: whenever we called ahead for the car, it was waiting for us by the time we reached reception.
Breakfast was absolutely outstanding, with an excellent variety of high-quality food, including international options and traditional Maltese dishes. All staff throughout the hotel were consistently polite, attentive, and professional.
We were also very impressed by the thoughtful personal touches. Chocolates were left in the room for the children on arrival, and on New Year’s Eve we returned to a lovely surprise of a small bottle of Prosecco and chocolates — a gesture that felt genuinely thoughtful and is something not many hotels do.
We stay in five-star hotels regularly and travel frequently, and I can honestly say there was nothing at all to fault during our stay. We were extremely impressed and will definitely be returning.
Thank you, Hilton Malta, we will be back 🙌🏻❤️👌

Wow, truly a lovely hotel. Before stepping into the hotel a beautiful scent. Welcoming staff smooth check in in a super lobby to look at whislt staff taking the time to explain all the facilities and how to get to the room. Arrived at the room opened the door to a well appointed suite. With stunning views. Super night sleep with pillows like clouds. Breakfast choice was excellent! I can honestly say if I was heading up the team of people here I would be super proud. All were friendly made conversation and nothing was to much. Kudos to all the staff at Hilton Malta. You can have an amazing hotel, room etc however the excperience can only be made by those in the business, keep doing what you are doing. I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you all

I recently spent five wonderful nights here. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I would recommend.
The Highlights:
· Room & View: The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a truly wonderful seaview.
· Staff & Service: The staff were consistently great, polite, professional, and helpful. When we noticed some toiletries were missing on the first day, a quick call to reception resolved the issue immediately.
· Breakfast: The breakfast was truly excellent, with a vast and superb selection. While any breakfast can feel repetitive after five days, the quality and variety were outstanding.
· Facilities: The hotel is large with impressive amenities. The health/fitness center has a heated indoor pool. It also features a squash or tennis court (I believe)
· Location (The Pros): The location is prime for convenience and modern amenities. It feels like a vibrant city center, full of energy with a lot of great eateries, bars, and shops within easy walking distance. We especially enjoyed a wonderful Italian restaurant nearby.
A Note on Location (Setting Expectations):
It's important to set the right expectations for the area. St Julian is a modern, bustling hub. Compared to the historic, character-filled streets of a place like Valletta, it can feel a bit more generic and "sterile." This is not a drawback if you're looking for a lively, convenient base with easy access to dining and nightlife, but it lacks the old-world Maltese charm.
Points to Consider for Future Guests:
While the stay was fantastic, there are two minor points related to the hotel's layout and design that future guests might want to know:
1. Sauna Privacy: The sauna in the fitness center is quite small and, notably, has glass walls/windows facing a corridor. This means there is no privacy, as people walking by can see directly inside.
2. Room Location & Noise: My room was situated directly above the fitness center. The sound insulation was not sufficient to block the noise of weights being dropped or improperly placed by guests below. This was my only significant complaint. Additionally, the room was quite far from the elevator bank.
Recommendation:
This is a wonderful, full-service hotel in a buzzing, convenient location. For the best experience, I would suggest requesting a room that is not directly above the gym area and, if you have mobility concerns or prefer less walking, asking for a room closer to the elevators.
Choose this hotel for its top-tier facilities, service, and modern convenience. If you're seeking a more authentic, historic Maltese atmosphere, you might prefer a property in Valletta or Mdina.
