The only good thing about the hotel is the location.
Breakfast- Repetitive
Dinner- had it once, was ok
Housekeeping service- great, always back to a clean room
Considering this is a four star hotel, it should’ve had basic amenities, they only provide you with a mini fridge. Forget kettle and some tea/coffee sachets in the room, they don’t even provide the water.
I tried to fill up my own water from the water filter jar stationed at the kitchen, as I’d run out of the water I bought, I was told to stop it and that I wasn’t allowed to fill up the water. I couldn’t understand the rest as the staff that didn’t allow me to fill up water was going on about it in Spanish, which, I didn’t understand.
Wifi is shite. Takes you 10 years back in time with the kind of speed. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holiday, while staying at this hotel, throw that thought out of the window. Guests are too loud to even let you sleep. Don’t think I’ll ever come back to stay at this place again!

Having stayed here in the past and been very happy with everything it is disappointing to see the standard of food served is not what is once was choice quite limited and quality not what you would expect the breakfast is of poor quality and often cold beans eggs not hot omelette station not available every day strange to see tinned carrots as a breakfast item? As a chef myself I know it wouldn't take much to improve this situation please do better.

Faultless hotel for a fair price. Nice, clean rooms with Air con. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Great location close to the beach and the main strip.

4 nights stay at Sol guadalupe as a family of 5. Was greeted on arrival well but after that staff did not acknowledge you much or smile. Reception very modern and cosy with canopy style beds to relax in and a small games room which was ok for a game of pool. However every morning part of reception was taken over by a lady on stage doing presentations which was annoying on the way to breakfast. The stage incorporated into reception area was not ideal as it got loud, busy and struggled to see the stage unless you sat at the front.
Breakfast was same almost everyday with a selection of fry ups, cereals and fruits available. The pool area was nice with a large pool and a covered indoor pool but unfortunately was cold and not heated so during our stay with temperatures at 21degrees was bit too cold to stay in. No music at poolside, no activities.
We had booked 2 rooms next to each other and was sufficient, however we had single beds joined together. There was a sewage smell at times which was very unpleasant. A nice view of Manos bar and partial sea view. One downside is there is no tea/coffee facilities in the room. Our room was cleaned everyday.
Location wise it's close enough to one of the beaches being 4 min walk.2 x kebab shops straight opposite who will wave you to eat there almost everytime they see you.A local spa supermarket outside to and the mainstrip is about a 15min walk.
Would I stay here again? I don't think so, even though it was comfortable I expected a lot more from 4 star Melia hotels. We previously stayed at Palmonova Suites and much more preferred the hotel and vibe aswell as rooms just the location on steep hill was a offput.
