It’s not giving 5 stars hotel - maybe 3/4 at a push.
So the hotel is more suitable for conferences and events rather than all inclusive guests. The conference guests are given different treatment than “all inclusive guests” - dont have to queue for dinners breakfasts etc.
At first when we arrived and I seen my hotel room, I was very upset and disappointed.
The pictures of the given room were not advertised anywhere - the lower floors of the hotel are very outdated and the rooms are not nice. Old fashioned furniture, AC which doesnt work, the rooms smelt of mould, mould on the bathroom ceiling, lights and power sockets not working. After complaining through Love Holidays the AC and few other issues were fixed and I decided I wasn’t gonna let this ruin my holiday.
I spoke to the reception who said if i wanted a nicer room I have to pay 70 euro extra per night (At the time of the booking through love holidays the upgrade was only £140pp extra so something to consider before you book here)
It’s a huge hotel - 17 floors and only 3 (sometimes 2) working lifts which makes it super awkward to get a lift at dinner time breakfast time or check out times.
The hotel isn’t bad, there’s just loads of room for improvements which I hope will be implemented sooner or later.
Pros:
- Food was good (especially dinners) - every night it’s different, seafood greek food italian mexican etc.
- Cocktails are good (but some are not included in the all inclusive package)
- The arcade was our favourite part - there’s a bar there pool table tv’s to watch live sport etc. The bartenders there are lovely :)
- Sun loungers are very comfy (some are broken so be aware)
- Great location - very central to Rhodes Old Town, with a taxi rank nearby, a bus stop etc.
- Indoor pool area at the Dome is nice (the pool is heated and the sun loungers there are very comfortable)
Cons:
- The standard rooms are AWFUL - very outdated, bathroom had mould on the ceiling, the room smelt mouldy, AC not working
- the lifts - not enough to serve all guests, expect queues!
- queues for breakfast / dinners - although it gets super busy there it does move fast.
- it’s hard to get a sun loungers by the main pool after 10am
- some staff in the main restaurant were not nice and ignored us
- you have to pay for stuff from the mini bar in your room which is a bit bizzare (for an all inclusive hotel)
- the pool water is FREEZING!!
- you have to pay tax of 15 euro per day at the time of the check in (paying for a 5 star hotel but the hotel is actually giving 3/4 star vibes)
- beach is 2 min walk and it’s nice there - however you have to pay for sun loungers there.
My advice would be to try and upgrade your room at the time of the booking - don’t go for the standard option as you will be disapppointed.

Let's start with the rooms: please note that there will be a tax charge upon arrival per night. Sensor tabs in the bathrooms are only cool when you know they are. (Wish there were sign letting you know)
The cleaning service team are fantastic and very welcoming!
Facilities: though there are many and convenient things, the place is far from a 5 star hotel.. only 2/3 lift working so you find yourself using the stairs more often than you wish ( there are 17+ floors). There are cables hanging out of walls and ceilings and the furniture is quite dated!
COVID restrictions signs are still up all over there hotel.
Buffet service/ snack bar: this is the main reason I would not go back... The shifts are heavily understaffed and completely unaware of the amount of people they are serving.. the team is stressed and it shows on their customer service skills. The food isn't bad but it is clear that quantity is more important than quality. I would also recommend instructing the customers where to put their plates so you waste less time cleaning and use that staff to bring the drinks to the table...
Major improvements are needed but the buffet staff manager should learn from the cleaning ladies and desk ladies customer skills.

I stayed here for 9 nights during the 2024 World Amateur Chess Championship. While the hotel claims a 5-star status, the experience unfortunately didn’t live up to expectations.
✅ What worked:
The sea view from the room was genuinely lovely, especially at sunset.
Room cleanliness was fine. And the shower was new and great.
❌ What disappointed:
Overcrowded and under-resourced: The hotel was overwhelmed with guests, and it showed — particularly at breakfast. Food trays were often empty, the buffet poorly replenished, and long queues formed daily.
Front desk understaffed: Each check-in, inquiry, or request required a long wait. Staff were polite but clearly struggling to cope with demand.
Gym and spa disappointment: The fitness area was not only dated, but also required extra payment for access — including to the sauna and wellness facilities, which is surprising for a so-called five-star hotel. Equipment was minimal and not well maintained.
Dining quality mixed: While some lunch and dinner offerings were decent, the overall standard felt closer to a 3-star package resort than a premium experience.
🎯 This hotel might have potential in low season or smaller events, but it’s not prepared to handle full-capacity conferences.

I want to give a honest review of this lovely 5 star hotel !
Please ignore all the bad reviews , I want to be entirely truthful so that everyone knows this hotel is truly one of the best!
I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world, as I travel a lot in general.
The staff at this hotel and the entertainment team , especially Florian, Mafalda, Dragos, and the lady who worked with the kids in mini disco were all incredibly cheerful, energetic, and kind. We all really like them all !
The kids’ mini club was excellent, and our children really enjoyed their time at the hotel.
The food and desserts changed every day, with a wide variety and delicious flavors
We also saw one of the best shows and performances at this hotel , it was absolutely amazing!
The atmosphere and vibe of the hotel were fantastic, and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Thank you to all the hotel staff who made this one of the best holidays we’ve ever had!

I recently stayed at Rodos Palace from Friday, 23rd May to 30th May, and I have to say it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with a lady at reception loudly complaining about a leak in her bathroom. The staff's rude and dismissive attitude towards her was unprofessional and set a terrible tone for our stay.
The real nightmare began during the night. I got up to use the bathroom, and my partner followed shortly after. He slipped on the wet bathroom floor and hurt his back because the toilet had leaked all over the bathroom and hallway, flooding the entire area with toilet water. We immediately called reception, who sent a maintenance person, we were there for about five seconds—who only looked at the problem and then told us someone would come the next day. An hour later, a staff member arrived with two towels and told us to dry it ourselves. When we expressed that this was unacceptable and asked to be moved to a different room, they hung up the phone on us. The next morning, we went back to reception to complain, but nothing was done. The toilet kept leaking, and every time we used the sink or toilet, the bathroom flooded again. Despite repeated complaints, they refused to move us and simply ignored us.
The facilities were poorly maintained. There were not enough sunbeds around the pool unless you got up at 6 am to reserve a bed— we brought our own towels from home only to have our towels taken by staff later, and then said they could not be found. I suffered heatstroke one night and needed food in the middle of the night, but when my partner tried to go out to get some, he was shouted at by reception, who told him food was not allowed. As a result, I had to go the entire night starving and feeling extremely ill. The queues were long, drinks were watered down, and staff blatantly served people who pushed in front of others.
The rooms were disgusting—dirty, poorly maintained, and unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed five star standard. Overall, this was an awful hotel experience, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Extremely disappointed.
