We chose Mitsis Rodos Village expecting a 5-star experience consistent with the Mitsis brand. While the hotel itself is visually attractive and well located, the service and overall experience fell significantly below expectations.
From the outset, us being Mitsis Storytellers Members and Mentor Tier, communication was poor, with multiple pre-arrival emails unanswered. On arrival, the check-in process lacked basic guidance, and the room we were first given was not properly cleaned, with maintenance issues that required a room change. Unfortunately, similar cleanliness problems were present in the second room, along with a leaking shower that made the bathroom unsafe.
The main restaurant offered very limited variety, with food often repetitive, overly salty, and greasy. Coffee machines were frequently empty or not working, and drink availability across bars was inconsistent, with basic items repeatedly unavailable. These were daily issues, not isolated incidents.
Service levels were also disappointing. Ordered a complimentary Anniversary Package offered and even that was like they didn’t want to do it. Nothing like the “promo” couples post on instagram or other socials. Some staff appeared frustrated when asked for basic replenishments, and at certain outlets, particularly the beach pizza station, service was slow and at times rude, affecting multiple guests, not just ourselves.
We raised concerns during our stay and followed up extensively afterwards. While management acknowledged shortcomings, the only resolution offered was future discounts tied to returning to the same hotel, rather than compensation for the stay already paid for. This handling of the complaint further diminished our confidence.
This hotel may look the part, but based on our experience, it does not currently deliver the service, consistency, or attention to detail expected of a 5-star resort or the Mitsis name. Future guests may wish to manage expectations carefully.
If you choose to stay at Mitsis Rodos Village, manage expectations carefully. The hotel looks impressive, but service consistency is an issue. Do not assume that emails sent before arrival will be acknowledged — follow up repeatedly and confirm everything in person.
Check your room thoroughly on arrival, including cleanliness, plumbing, and electrical sockets, and report any issues immediately. Be prepared that a room change may not resolve underlying cleanliness or maintenance problems.
If food variety and quality are important to you, note that the main restaurant options can be repetitive, and drink availability across bars is inconsistent. If certain items matter to you (fresh juice, specific spirits, coffee), expect regular shortages.
Allow extra time at beach food outlets during peak hours, and be prepared for slower service and limited engagement from staff.
Most importantly, if you experience issues, raise them early and persistently — but also be aware that resolution during the stay may be limited, and post-stay compensation is unlikely to be offered beyond future discounts.

The hotel has its own stretch of beach which lovely, but please be aware, this hotel is up a mountain, well very large hill!!!
They do provide a buggy to take you and bring you back, if you have any walking difficulties, this hotel is not for you. Once your at the beach, there as bars pizza places ect, all free in your all inclusive package, as well as sun beds n parosolls, nice and comfortable.

Food isn't warm enough, I appreciate it's all/inc but sometimes we were first in at breakfast, and was only luke warm.
Negatives. Location, very high up, but brilliant scenery, sea, mountain ect.
It's a 6km walk to nearest town, lovely walk along past the beach, but there is a bus service, bus stops at hotel, it's 2 euro, 12 in a taxi.
There are no pubs exept in the town, which by the way is lovely, fantastic picturesque resurants.
Would I personally stop here again no, as we went as a couple, but if you have children or I was bring my grandchild then it's a definite yes. I think I've been fair an honest in this review..
And to repeat myself, the staff are brilliant.

Had the most amazing 10 days here the hotel is so cozy, beautiful and peaceful our room was so lovely! The food was so nice something for everyone we especially loved the burger, Italian and Pan Asian à la carte restaurants they were incredible!! But what really made this hotel special was the staff, they were fantastic!! The entertainment was so well organised something different every night and the activities during the day were so much fun!! They honestly were brilliant!! But a special shoutout to Jay who worked at the night bar and Nelson who work at the Amphitheater bar they both where so attentive always remembered our orders and always had a smile on their faces they are a true credit to this hotel and made our holiday so memorable, so a big thank you to them and all the staff for remaining so friendly and bring so kind thought out our stay

Just back from a lovely holiday here with my fiance and have had a great experience with the hotel, food and staff! ☺️ we booked a superior room with garden view and private pool. we were dubious booking this due to the mixed reviews we’d seen but actually had nothing to worry about.
Food - we were booked into an al a carte every night and they were all equally great! I am vegetarian and the a la cartes all catered really well for me, however I will say the buffet wasn’t great for vegetarians. I did expect more for that, especially the breakfast but I just avoided the buffet the whole holiday and made use of the gyros restaurant (amazing and super friendly staff!) and the crepe bar. With all the other options, there wasn’t really a need for me to go near the buffet.
Drinks were great the whole time. Top tip - staff at the bar left of the buffet are super friendly and make the best drinks!
Staff - most of the staff were really friendly and had time to chat if you chatted to them ☺️ we had such a great experience with yeta on the day bar and the woman who cleaned our room every day was also super friendly!
Hotel - hotel in general was very clean, easy to find our way around and just over all a great experience.
Bonus - my lovely fiance booked us into private dining on our last night as a surprise for me 🥰 he did this using the concierge service, where he spoke with Adela who was really helpful in organising everything. Our private waiter Yiannis was exceptional, a great laugh and had great chat. The food was absolutely incredible, 6 courses of amazing food and we had the opportunity to chat to the a la carte chef after, where he asked about our overall experience and I’d fed back about the vegetarian options at the buffet. He said they are looking to improve this next year ☺️

We were at this hotel in September, a few weeks ago. The environment of hotel was very cozy, I liked the little streets and the palm trees. The room was immaculate, we loved the private pool and the sea view from room. The meals was very good, it can be found every type of meal (vegetarian, fishes, etc.), the booking of restaurant not easy in the app, you have to check free table constantly. In the main restaurant was always free table.
From the staff of hotel everybody was very friendly, I would highlight Melissa from reception and Edi, who filled our minibar every day, and of course the staff of bars.
I and my friends felt very good in this hotel, but sometimes small children were also late night in the bars which were disturbing (this is not the hotel's mistake, I think this is the parents' mistake).
The hotel is approx. 1 hour from the Airport, but the transfer was great from hotel. The guests can book the tours and any programs in app and at the reception. The beach a few mins from entrance of hotel, where you can find sun beds. :)
I recommend this hotel, because of the great environment and the services. :)
