We have just got home from our holiday here. First holiday abroad with our kids (10,8,5). We have had an amazing time. All of the staff were very friendly and polite and always had a smile on their faces.
Our room was a family room and we found this perfectly adequate with 5 of us in there. Lovely views over the sea. Beds comfortable and all nice and clean. Plenty of storage with safe provided and mini bar stocked I think every day.
The food was delicious and to be honest careered for every taste. You couldn't think of what more they could have offered, the range was brilliant.
The beach is literally on the edge of the resort with beach bar, toilets and loungers all on the beach.
There was a bus stop directly outside the hotel which was very convenient for any sightseeing and the concierge kindly provided information on the timetable for this.
Highly recommend this hotel, we were all sad to leave after an absolutely amazing week.

Service from all the staff team was wonderful 24/7. The hotel was enjoyable to walk around and right on the beach front (just over a small quiet road). The beach itself was nice mix of sand and shingle and plenty of marine life to look at. The food in the main restaurant I think had room for improvement, but the service was still outstanding. Also compared to other Mitsis hotels I've visited previously, I found the selection of menus and side restaurant opening times was slightly more limited and was a little trickier to eat at certain times such as 3.30 to 4pm etc. Our room was lovely and was very clean and the drinks were constantly topped up meaning plenty of water available for us, and again all staff members were so helpful and welcoming. Will certainly be using Mitsis again

Not what we expected from a 5-star hotel
We recently stayed at Mitsis Rodos Maris and while there were some nice touches, the overall experience didn’t match what we expected, especially for a resort aimed at families.
Arrival & Check-In
Check-in was smooth and staff were welcoming. We appreciated the small gesture of a game and drink for our baby on arrival, a thoughtful start.
Room Issues:
• No plug near the kettle (which was very old and felt unsafe around little ones).
• Very few sockets in the room overall, none near the mirror, which made using a hairdryer awkward.
• TV was tiny, low quality, and oddly placed in the corner.
• Pillows weren’t comfortable.
• Cot was nicely set up, but no baby blanket was left, so our baby had to sleep in our bed the first night.
• Beds were two singles pushed together without a topper. When we asked for one, it arrived late, and housekeeping didn’t fit it, just took it away the next day.
• Shower head sprayed water everywhere, flooding the bathroom every time.
• Safe had no key.
• You’re only allowed an iron and ironing board for an hour, which seemed unnecessary.
Food & Drinks:
• Breakfast was pretty much the same every day. Strangely, no watermelon in the mornings, only at lunch and dinner.
• Staff were pleasant but not very attentive. Often had to chase someone just to get a drink.
• The main bar had a small, hit-and-miss drinks selection. I had one good cocktail all week.
• Gyros at the snack stand was nice, but the team there didn’t seem happy.
• On-site shop was handy and well-stocked, one of the better parts of the resort.
Pool & Family Facilities:
• Pool bar was understocked and drinks were extremely weak.
• Nobody came round offering drinks or clearing up, cups were left lying around most of the day.
• Sun loungers were cheap and constantly collapsed when you moved.
• Pool was saltwater, not mentioned anywhere beforehand.
• Playground was unusable during the day, burning hot sand and stones.
• Water slides were so slow they barely worked.
• Not easy to get around with a pram, tight pathways and poor layout for families.
Final Thoughts
This hotel has potential, and we liked a few things like the welcome and baby cot setup, but far too many areas let it down. It felt like corners were being cut and service was stretched thin. Definitely not 5-star. Sadly, we wouldn’t return.

We have absolutely loved our stay. The staff are amazing and go beyond welcoming. Everyone is very attentive. The rooms are spotless every day. We have had the mini fridge stocked with normal and alcoholic drinks every 2 days which was great as you can enjoy a drink on your balcony. Pizza oven on the beach was a great touch. We really enjoyed the fact that you can book x1 A la carte restaurant every single day meaning you got the options of eating out rather than just sticking to the buffet. Also you can get as many dishes as you want from the menu you are not limited so means you can try different things. There should definitely be more information on the gyros corner as it is very hard to find and possibly more bar staff in the bottom area of the Gelateria as it tends to get very busy when the entertainment is on so you tend to wait a very long time to her served. There was unfortunately only one person working that bar.
Another great touch from Mitsis is that we were upgraded to a different hotel for our last night so we could enjoy another ultra- all inclusive resort.
We would like to say a massive thank you to the lady at the front desk of guest relations. She has been absolutely lovely and helped us out so much with a mistake that happened with our transfers.

a few improvements needed over the hotel but the PT Karol was a huge standout for us. encouraged us to participate without being pushy and his knowledge is next to none. if you are looking for advice/motivation on wellness and fitness i highly recommend you speak with him. food is quite limited but rooms clean and sea view bungalow has a great view
