PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!! DONT COME HERE! The hotel was a nightmare. The first thing that happened was that we arrived at 6 am, and the reception was not even a little helpful. Told us that we had to wait until 2 pm to check in. We were 4 people including two children. We said that we could pay for a room in the meantime, they said that they did not have a room available. Such a big hotel and they cannot handle fixing a room. They said that they would fix one in an hour. When we arrived after an hour, we had to wait another hour. Until 1 pm we got the room. The room was absolutely terrible. We had no water in the shower or sink. When there was water, it was so cold. We had booked for 4 people. We got a double bed and a single.. how are we supposed to be 3 people on one bed. We asked for an extra bed. We got an old one that was broken. In addition, the bed was full of bedbugs. The person is still full of wounds and had to go to the doctor when we got home from vacation. It was that bad. The reception said they were mosquito bites. The doctor here in Norway confirmed that it was bedbugs and not mosquito bites. After that we changed rooms. Same problem there, the reception is very unprofessional and very rude. We got food poisoning from the food there. The reception said that the food was clean and that it wasn't them. We hadn't eaten anything other than the food at the hotel. One person fainted from the food poisoning. This whole trip was ruined by rude people at the reception ,food poisoning, cold water, bedbugs, and a really bad place to be

I recently stayed at Mirag Pay Hotel, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a resort. From the moment we arrived, the service was extremely poor, even though the staff were helpful.
The rooms fell far below acceptable standards: the floors were dirty, the furniture was poorly maintained, and there was an unpleasant smell that made it difficult to relax. Housekeeping did not clean the room properly, and basic amenities were missing or broken.
The food was equally disappointing—cold, bland, and clearly of low quality. Even the buffet area was messy and unhygienic, making it uncomfortable to eat there.
What made things worse was the general lack of organisation. Facilities like the pool and beach area were overcrowded, dirty, and not properly managed. Instead of enjoying a relaxing vacation, I spent most of my time dealing with frustration.
For the price they charge, I expected at least a decent level of service and cleanliness. Sadly, Mirag Pay Hotel failed on almost every front. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable or enjoyable stay.

Our stay at Mirage Bay Resort & Aqua Park was extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. After a seven-hour coach journey from Cairo, we were left waiting in the lobby for hours before our room was ready. The reception staff were unhelpful and showed no sense of customer service.
When we finally got to the room, it was in a terrible state. The sheets and towels were dirty, the TV remote, fridge, and shower were broken, and the smell of sewage was overwhelming. Cleanliness and maintenance were clearly not a priority.
The food was inedible, and after just one day, the entire family suffered from food poisoning. We had no choice but to eat out every day for the rest of our stay. On top of that, we were all covered in mosquito bites. When I went to the hotel clinic for an infected bite, the doctor told me I needed emergency surgery at a hospital — something that should never happen at a resort claiming to be family-friendly.
Entertainment was virtually non-existent and not worth mentioning. The hotel itself was dated, dirty, and poorly maintained. Most concerning of all, the management and staff showed no care for guests’ health, safety, or overall experience.
This was by far the worst holiday experience we’ve ever had, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

The room wasn't clean. Alot of stains on the duvet and the duvet covers. When I asked the staff to change it, they were very rude and didn't want to change it. He claimed this is standard. If the standard is unclean there isn't much to argue about. The food is okay but the restaurant itself was a disaster. AC isn't working well so the restaurant was very hot and the AC was constantly dropped water on my table and the food. Drinks were survived without Ice because simply there is no Ice. The hotel is recommended if you wanna experience a time capsule into the stone ages inconveniences. The staff at the restaurant were not as rude as the room service staff, yet not friendly.
The beach was very dirty and the loungers were mostly broken.
Usually I can tolerate some inconvenience if the price matches the quality. But this was way to expensive for the quality I got.

Very basic hotel. Overall I cannot say it was an awful experience - we had fun, no one got hurt or sick and rooms were fine. However, would I say this hotel lives up to its images and advertisements online? No.
Rooms - I think my experience was better than others as I was travelling with Arabic speakers who ensured we got to check in early, had good rooms (even llowed us to check rooms) and brought us a kettle, coffee, tea. Beds were comfortable but pillows a little hard. Working fridge, AC and TV. Didn’t have any mosquito issues in the room - had to ensure porch door was closed but pretty standard in the climate. Bathrooms were basic but no issues. I do have to commend the cleaning staff, very friendly and liked to make the rooms up with shapes with towels and bedding and leaving flowers and fruit.
Pools/beach - of the three pools, the centre one with the smaller slides was the best. It was reserved for hotel guests only and monitored. Lifeguards were generally quite on it however not many preventative measures in place otherwise, such as preventing young children to swim unsupervised. Pool was not particularly clean - water murky, some broken tiles and inefficient drainage surrounding the pool did cause a few slips. First aquapark and pool by the beach were mostly used by locals or day pass visitors. This meant they were very overcrowded and also had no sunloungers as advertised. Beach was nice enough. At all times there was someone approaching you to sell you something or get you to participate in some kind of activity - annoying as people are very persistent.
Food/drink - the restaurant area was a good 5-10 minute walk from the reception area which was unexpected. The food was ok. As mentioned above none of my group suffered any issues from the buffet however the choices were the same every day with only 1-2 variations that were on some kind of rotation. Grill was okay, the meat was generally nice however the staff a little stingy. Nothing felt particularly fresh. Fruit and veg options very limited also with 1-2 fruit varieties per day and the salad bar being the same thing put out lunch and dinner, definitely just mixing in leftovers from previous days. There were enough tables however often not wiped between diners. Drinks were definitely a disappointment for me. Soft drinks during the day are water, 3 types of concentrate juices that were alarmingly false colours. The Fanta/coke/lemonade came from a machine and were flavourless. If you’re looking for an all inclusive to drink cocktails by the pool forget it. They have spirits but the mixers are only the above making them unpleasant to drink. No ice. At all. Anywhere. (Possibly for the best as mains water is not drinkable). In the evenings you could get these mysterious cocktails that were placed out at around 4/5pm and left there all evening. They would make them fresh if you asked but I could not tell you what any of them were. All used the funny coloured concentrated juices mentioned above and syrups of equally luminescent colours. The bar by the restaurants had a proper cocktail list but they were an extra charge - we didn’t even bother. Beer seemed ok, poured from glass bottles into plastic cups. That’s another thing - so much plastic 😭 really felt excessive. Ice cream was also disappointing. Only available at the beach between 3-5pm!! And even then they were the tiniest soft serve ice creams you’ve ever seen. Didn’t bother after the first one. There were shops available to buy snacks/drinks/souvenirs but all tourist traps with high prices.
Other reviews mention the smell which was very bad and overwhelming. Only 2 social areas which were inevitably overcrowded. Evening entertainment was the same every day, aimed at young children and left a lot to be desired. I feel this venue has a lot of potential but lacks attention to detail and that’s what lets it down. Sadly a disappointing experience, won’t be returning.
