Some things are good but overall I don't recommend at all. Food is good, i liked the variety except desserts. beach is nice but you have to compete against others early in the morning to find a single empty sunbed to chill. Definitely not that welcoming for young adults, whole vibe was more for old european tourists and kids. The whole music operation is awful and quite tasteless. Alcohol tasted horrible, cocktails were really undrinkable. Only beer was ok. Rooms were nice and clean, cleaning staff was lovely and always smiling. Animation staff and waiters was also were nice people, but Receptionists are really not good with communicating in English, I am extremely frustrated with how little English they understood over email. They turned my whole booking experience into a nightmare for us. They also tried to overcharge us, tried to charge 290USD instead of 97USD upon checkin. They did not provide us 2 single beds as promised. Overall I am very regretful to book this hotel, totally killed the vibe of our vacation. We stayed in much cheaper hotels with much better hospitality and amenities. Dont come here if you're under 40. Probably boring families would have a better experience here.

I had an amazing stay at Mercure Hurghada – everything exceeded my expectations from the moment I arrived. What stood out the most was how everyone was genuinely eager to help, starting from the reception team, the guest relations, and even the staff offering the welcome drink – yes, even the one making the coffee made sure I felt welcomed.
As a Platinum member, I truly felt valued. This is the place where you don’t just get your benefits – you get more than you expect. The level of care and attention to detail was outstanding.
Special thanks to Omar at the reception – professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Also, a big thank you to Passant from guest relations for her kindness and follow-up throughout the stay. Even the General Manager was present and attentive, which speaks volumes about the culture of this hotel.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for real hospitality and unforgettable service.

I recently spent a week at the Mercure Hurghada Hotel, and overall, my experience was mixed.
What I really enjoyed was the direct beach access, which made it easy to relax by the sea whenever I wanted. The animation team was fantastic—always energetic and engaging, offering plenty of activities throughout the day. The location of the hotel is also great, close enough to explore Hurghada while still feeling like a peaceful getaway. Plus, I always felt very safe during my stay, as security measures were well in place.
However, there were some downsides. The hotel is quite old, and you can definitely see signs of wear and tear in the facilities. The rooms are very small, which made it a bit uncomfortable, especially for a longer stay. The buffet food lacked variety, and after a few days, it felt quite repetitive. One thing I really didn’t like was that every morning at 9 AM, hotel staff would wake us up to hand out water bottles—not ideal if you wanted to sleep in. Additionally, not all pools were accessible, which was disappointing.
Overall, the Mercure Hurghada has its strengths, especially in terms of location, beach access, and entertainment, but it could use some updates to improve the rooms, dining options, and guest experience.

For our first trip in Egypt we have chosen Mercure Hôtel for our first 3 days of our trip. We wanted to relax and disconnect from work. An objective achieved thanks to all the teams of this hotel. The staff is super friendly and available. They have made us feel better than at home.
Numerous small attentions that make a difference.
Many thanks especially to Larena, Mahmoud et Moustapha for their great kindness and 5-star service.
We will definitely choose Mercure Hurghada for our next trip in Egypt how first option.

Good, well located hotel with mostly adorable people working there.
We were disappointed in the lack of responsibility taken by some of the people working there though; the guy in charge of the activities who told us and wrote down a wrong time of aptmt, and wrote the room number so badly that the guide didn’t find us and called the wrong room number. Also, the fact that people kept on redirecting us, for example when we asked if we could have towels for the beach. It always seemed like it was nobody’s fault and in the end, we have to find solutions ourselves.
The last thing is about quietness; both the very loud music near the pool and the fact that some of the staff kept on asking us to dance, participate in activities, go on tours etc. wasn’t very restful.
However, we really enjoyed the restaurant, the beach and the staff, especially Larena, a young, smiling and helpful woman working there who treated us with the best care possible. She really made our stay lovely and is one of the reasons we loved it, so thank you to her, again.
