This should really be a 3 star hotel.
Overall, it's a nice place to stay. Close to the airport, super close to the beach and restaurants.
Staff is friendly and helpful.
Food is poor quality. Good variety but the quality is below standards, especially for a 4 star. What really doesn't work is also that they make you pay for beverages separately,
Including water (and yes, even with half-board included).
There's a general feeling staff is rushing you. During meals they chase you to replace your cutlery ready for the next guest even when you're not finished. Plenty of times I've had my food removed while getting coffee.
Same feeling for room cleaning, they come at random times knocking at the door with no system in place. This removes all the comfort of a relaxing place to spend your holiday.
Only 2 slow elevators for the entire hotel are not enough. Not very accessible for those not able to take stairs.
They advertise a gym, but it's a tiny room with nothing inside. Very very poorly managed.

We took a gamble on this place without really knowing much about the area or island. It definitely exceeded our expectations.
The hotel lobby, common areas, and roof top pool are stunning. We stayed in a junior suite that was spacious, clean, had a great bathroom, and wonderful view of the beach.
The breakfast was above average and had a wide variety of food. We were content with it.
The reason this did get provide us a 5 star experience is their lack of amenities. We had to put a $15 deposit for a beach tow and $10 just to exchange it. That felt wrong. Additionally, shower towels (only two) could only be exchanged once a day in the morning. If you don’t leave them in the shower for house keeping, they will not be replaced. Also, do not go through the car rental agency advertised in their lobby. The car we drove made us fear for our lives.
If you can accept the lack of towels, I definitely recommend this hotel for its price point.

Beautiful location, 8 minutes from the airport and it is outside the city, so if you are looking for a relaxing and calm place this is the best.
The room was very clean and confortable. The food is great. Everyone who worked there was exceptionally kind and helpful. The location was superb with a beach directly across the street and many restaurants and small grocery stores nearby. In addition, it was convenient for the tourist train and a nice walk along the water all the way to s'Arenal. Highly recommended.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Las Arenas. The location is perfect — right by the beach with beautiful sea views, and close to local shops and restaurants. The rooms were modern, clean, and very comfortable. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. Breakfast was varied and delicious, with plenty of fresh options every morning. The rooftop bar and pool area were definite highlights — great for relaxing and watching the sunset. Highly recommended for a relaxing and memorable holiday!

For the price the hotel was good. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom in the room was really nice. However 2 things let the hotel down.
1. The orange juice at breakfast was awful. For a 4 star hotel this should be much better.
2. A lot of the space on the roof terrace is taken up with day beds that can be rented for EUR 50+ per day. When I was there no one was using them and all the other loungers were taken. I don’t really think it is necessary to charge to use a day bed - some people only want the be there for a few hours and if they are there all day will be spending money at the bar.
