Absolutely fantastic. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming with nothing too much trouble. The location is incredible with the beach literally a few steps from the hotel and many other attractions a short walk away including shops, the marina, parks and many restaurants. The food is wonderful with a huge, quality selection for both breakfast and evening meal. The free entertainment is varied and has something for everyone. The free swimming pool and basketball/football/ping pong area kept the kids entertained and I've become quite the water volleyball and boules expert after being convinced to join in some of the organised games. Really top class, cannot recommend highly enough.

I visited this hotel in Torremolinos with my elderly parents, hoping to explore the area and potentially make it our annual family vacation destination. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing due to both front desk staff behavior and room conditions.
From the very first interaction, the young man at the reception, who refused to give his name, was rude, dismissive, and openly contemptuous. It was clear that his attitude was influenced by my North African features and brown skin tone. My parents and I were treated with disregard and unnecessary hostility, even while simply trying to check in and unload our luggage.
Another front desk staff member, who introduced herself as “Natallie” while covering her name tag, yelled at us, refused to let us briefly park to unload luggage, and created an embarrassing and stressful situation for my elderly parents and me.
The most telling part was that both staff members immediately changed their behavior once they reviewed my reservation and saw my American passport. Suddenly, the contempt disappeared, and they became attentive and careful in their interactions. Respect should never depend on nationality or perceived status, it should be basic hospitality.
As for the room itself, it was very basic and far too small for three people, despite us booking a room for four. The air conditioning unit was old, filthy, and had visible black dirt inside, so we never used it and suffered in the heat. For the price, this level of comfort was unacceptable.
I do want to acknowledge that other staff, restaurant, housekeeping, and maintenance, were kind, professional, and helpful, which only highlighted how extreme the front desk issues were.
Overall, this stay was disheartening and uncomfortable, and it completely overshadowed what should have been an enjoyable family vacation. I hope management addresses both the discriminatory front desk behavior and the poor room conditions so future guests are treated with basic dignity and comfort.

We were originally meant to stay in a nearby hotel and booked La Barracuda as a last minute choice. It was the best thing that happened to us. Everything about our stay was perfect. There was a great chilled vibe about the place. The staff all worked extremely hard and in our experience were very pleasant and friendly. I know hotel food can be a bit hit or miss but for us it was very good and a decent choice, we didn’t have any occasion where we struggled to find something. I know sunbeds can be a tricky subject too, I didn’t see any crazy Sun bed runs and the staff were very efficient in removing towels from sunbeds that had not been used within a certain time. Location was perfect and the views we had of the beach, pool and marina were stunning as they also were from the rooftop bar area. Poolside bar prices for drinks and snacks were very competitive and not pricey at all. I have no doubt we will visit this hotel again and again, and have no hesitation in recommending it to friends and family. Our trip was to celebrate my retirement and cant speak highly enough about the little touches the hotel did to help me celebrate this.

I recently stayed here which is a yearly event with friends . Began vacation on the 11 September.
From booking in I felt the staff on the desk two females were devoid of smiling or indeed any welcome. In fact they were quite robotic .
Rooms were of a low quality and not reflected in the high price we paid. The area where the fridge is was filthy and the magnetic area which keeps the door on the fridge area was worse than filthy.
This room had a pool view which was offered as some sort of bonus.
On my first night out on return to the hotel at 4am I asked at reception if I could a kettle for my room, the cost for this extortionate also.
I was roared at by a man called Alfredo who asked me did I know what time it was. When I suggested that there wasn’t a time restriction on when one might have a tea or coffee he exploded, shouting again at me.
At 8am the next morning I ordered a kettle from reception only to be told I would have to go to reception and collect myself despite saying I was a pensioner with several physical needs.
I asked also about ironing facilities and was brought to a laundry facility in the bowels of the hotel where people were working. Whilst the staff there were very nice and checked if I was okay the noise in the area was terrible.
I check out morning I went to reception and gave a male member of staff my kettle receipt to redeem my deposit. He asked me where was it, I told him it was in my room, he said you have to bring it to reception.
I suggested to the young man that this was a health and safety issues for me, he rang a woman who was cleaning outside my room whom I informed him about to check the kettle. I really felt like he thought I had the kettle in my bag.
Whilst this facility was in my room the cleaning staff never cleaned the tray, cups etc.
The general appearance internally is dated and worn looking, carpets dirty and frayed with numerous areas requiring freshning up.
In summary I will not be returning to the Barracuda.
I have difficulty calling it a 2 star.
The staff could learn from businesses around them re the different welcome you received.
In my opinion they need to review many of their policies and procedures.
