Great stay. You get what you pay for so we were not expecting the ritz. Rooms dated and in need of a upgrade, yes but they were clean. We paid for Seaview view room which was beautiful but very very windy so I wouldn't bother. We could always get a sunbed. Pool bar serves food, lovely and great prices so we had lunch here every day. Supermarket on site, good prices with fresh bread and crossiants everyday. We just bought cans of pop from here. Bar in hotel open on an evening with live singer every night, lovely little bar and prices good. We had a great stay here.
Only negative I would say is location. About a 15 minute stroll to music square which is fine. It was the walking back on an evening, this didn't feel safe as you have to go through residential streets and we saw some shady characters. We got a taxi back every evening for only 5euro. Would we come back, yes but not get the sea view room. It was an absolute bargain for an Easter school holiday break

Rooms are a little tired looking, but fully functional. We had all we needed for self catering. They also supplied liquid soap, shower gel, shampoo, kitchen washing up liquid, tea towel etc. Pool and pool bar were great. Main evening bar had a great entertainer some nights (Yanni). Reception well staffed. Great location away from the bustle but only a short walk into town.

I’ll be honest — after reading some of the negative reviews, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Bristol Hesperia Playa, but I was pleasantly surprised!
For just £1040 for 2 adults and a baby for a week including flights, I really can’t complain. You absolutely get what you pay for, and as a budget-friendly base, it more than does the job. Yes, the hotel could use a bit of TLC — things like stained tiles, some rust, and flaking paint here and there — but overall, it’s clean and tidy.
The bars were a real highlight — both well-stocked, fairly priced, and run by a genuinely friendly team. Big shoutout to Danny who kept winding me up all week — kept things fun and lighthearted! The evening entertainment in the main bar was also a great bonus to wind down after a day out.
There’s a small on-site shop for essentials (and some really nice pastries and fresh bread), which came in handy. The pools were a bit cold, but honestly pretty standard compared to other places I’ve stayed on the island.
Rooms aren’t serviced daily and you do need to ask for fresh towels, but for the price, that’s hardly a dealbreaker.
All in all, if you’re after luxury, this might not be your spot — but if you’re looking for a budget-friendly base with good vibes and friendly staff, you’ll be more than happy here. I’d definitely stay again!

Ants everywhere, dirty sheets, holes in the pillows, bed too small, TV not working and couch covered with suspicious stains. The doors and the fournitures seem to be very old.
Our room was very far from the entrance, no cleaning service because we haven't stayed long enough, no free towel to enjoy the pool or a swim in the sea.
Horrific experience in that room. Not worth the cheap price.
Nearby the sea though. Could've had a nice viewfrom some other rooms (not ours).

Flew home yesterday. Amazing apartments. Lovely staff, very friendly. Spotless rooms, staff are everywhere 👏👏Would definitely recommend this place. Will definitely be coming back. Even tho there was work going on , never heard a thing, very polite workmen 👏👏. After all, they have a job to do.Never affected our holiday.
