We stayed at Horus Paradise from August 30 to September 13, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
Negative points:
Food: Poor quality, repetitive dishes, often cold. We even got sick during our stay, which is unacceptable for a 5★ hotel. In addition, freshly squeezed orange juice is charged €3 at breakfast, even though it should be included, and a cocktail at the pool bar costs €5… unacceptable given the price of the stay.
Bars: Several smell of stale alcohol, giving a sense of poor hygiene.
Reception: Some staff members are unpleasant, especially a female employee (present in the evening, of Asian appearance) who does not greet guests and responds in a cold and unfriendly manner.
Sunbed organization: Impossible to find a spot as towels are placed overnight and remain all day without intervention from the hotel.
Atmosphere: The bar stays open until 2 a.m. with very loud music, which is unbearable for rooms directly above.
Cleanliness & rooms: Maintenance is insufficient, particularly in the bathrooms.
Positive points:
Several large, well-maintained and pleasant swimming pools.
The hotel grounds are attractive.
The beach is beautiful and close to the hotel.
Convenient location: Side Antique is only 3 minutes by car or bus. Buses pass in front of the hotel on the main road and can be taken directly by raising your hand.
Conclusion:
This is the third time we have visited the Side area, and we are disappointed. The hotel has potential, but there are far too many negative points: poor and paid basic food, insufficient hygiene, unpleasant reception, monopolized sunbeds, and noise disturbances. For a hotel advertised as 5★, the standard is far below expectations.
This was our first and last stay, thank you.

Very nice hotel with good service. The location was good, the staff was caring and friendly. The pools were clean and food and drinks were everywhere.
Every night there was a show which we also enjoyed, especially the Cuban show.
The only thing that was bothering us was the shower; it was periodically for 10 seconds warm and then cold. Besides the shower drainage was partially blocked so the water was not going away soon.
Other than this, my family enjoyed the stay in the hotel.
It is to be mentioned that we were in the main building.

An honest review. I will start with the positives.
Great location, nice pools although repairs are needed. A few good staff members mainly on the reception bar.
Rooms are dirty ,towels not replaced beds not changed floor has mud all over, walls have food and drinks spilt on. food isn’t just bad it is horrific and that is being polite we had to eat out everyday as a family of 5 and we couldn’t even make do. Ended in sickness for 2 of us. Drinks are poor quality and disgusting beer. All inclusive is not all inclusive.
No sun loungers people arguing and fighting over them. If you go in the pool people take your things off the sun loungers. I would say I am well travelled and this is at best a 3 star hotel. I would not return and would not recommend

We have had a fantastic holiday and we will definitely return.
The hotel looks run down from the front outside but inside it is stunning.
Edit: Some of the staff seem abrupt but I think it's more of a language barrier than anything.
The beds end up with more sand on them after the cleaners have been in.
The creamer, tea and conditioner do not get replaced daily, if you can, take your own shampoo and conditioner because there's leave your hair feeling like straw and really dry.
Nice enough hotel but it needs a lot of decorating done to it. A lot of is poorly decorated or rushed.
Bekir our rep was amazing and couldn't do enough for us.

We stayed here for 7 nights as a family of four, and unfortunately our experience was far from what you would expect from a so-called 5-star all-inclusive resort.
1.	Hidden extra costs – On arrival we were asked to pay €10 per device for Wi-Fi, which is unreasonable in an “all-inclusive” hotel. Fresh orange juice, iced coffee, and other basic drinks were also charged at €10 each. Many facilities (rides, trampolines, etc.) also required payment, none of which was made clear on the hotel’s website.
2.	Poor hygiene & cleaning standards – Our bed sheets were not changed for four nights, even when visibly dirty the kids stained with suncream. The pools were left open until the early hours (4–5am) with no cleaning in the pool, people swimming with clothes on and drinking alcohol in the water, spilling it. The main pool always had a very bad smell. Around the pool areas, towels were left for days to “reserve” beds, with no staff intervention, meaning we struggled to find a place to sit as a family.
3.	Food quality – The buffet was repetitive, with very limited variety. After a few days, we felt unwell and ended up eating outside the hotel for the last four days of our stay, even the children started refusing same food.
4.	Lack of safety for children – Shockingly, there were no lifeguards at the children’s pool or slides. Only one lifeguard was present in the whole hotel, stationed at the main adult pool. Kids were left to manage the slides themselves, which felt very unsafe.
Overall, this is not a 5-star experience — I would generously rate it 3 stars. For the £1000 we paid in addition at the hotel as spending money (2 adults, 2 children for 7 nights), we expected much better. If we had spent just a little more elsewhere, we would have had a genuine 5-star holiday.
This hotel needs to seriously address hygiene, safety, and transparency about extra charges. Until then, I would not recommend it.
