We had a wonderful time at Grand Blue. The location is excellent, with stunning sea views and easy access to the beach. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and fully equipped. The staff was polite and helpful.
The food was very good, with a wide variety and flavors to suit all tastes. Breakfast was rich and fresh, and the meals at the restaurant were well-cooked and delicious.
The pool area was perfect for relaxing. Overall, an excellent hotel for a peaceful and enjoyable vacation. Highly recommended!

Stayed: 3 nights at Grand Blue, Kos
Unfortunately, this is not a five-star hotel by service standards. While the resort has some positives, the overall experience — particularly the customer service — fell well below expectations.
✅ Positives
Clean Pools: The multiple pool areas were clean and well-maintained.
Room Quality: Hotel rooms were nicely designed and comfortable.
Lunch & Dinner: These meals were of better quality than breakfast, with decent variety.
Beach Nearby: The nearby beach had excellent facilities, including sunbeds and high-quality food and service at NOA — a big highlight compared to the resort itself.
❌ Negatives
Poor Breakfast Quality: While there’s variety, the food quality — especially at breakfast — is subpar. Staff at breakfast and lunch never offered drinks, which they’re supposed to.
Lack of Basic Service: Only one small bottle of water per person is provided every other day — not enough, especially for families. When we needed more at 11 PM (shops closed, staying with two kids), not a single staff member — bar, reception, or otherwise — would help. That’s unacceptable.
No Beach Towels Available: For two days, there were no clean beach towels available at any of the pools. When we reported it to reception, nothing was done. A pool staff member said new stock would arrive “soon,” but it never did. Again, not the five-star service we expected.
Air Conditioning Issues: Our AC wasn’t working properly. Despite calling reception, their only advice was to shut the doors. It worked briefly but turned off again, leading to a terrible night's sleep.
Ant Infestations: We had two separate ant infestations coming from the bathroom. The first time, no housekeeping was available. The second time, we were bizarrely accused of eating in the bathroom — rather than helped.
Lack of Kids’ Entertainment: The entertainment overall was weak, especially for children. No pool toys were available either.
Unfriendly Staff: Staff (with the exception of those from the Philippines, who were lovely) often seemed disinterested or unhappy. One buggy driver even told my son off just for shuffling on the seat. Not a warm atmosphere.
Reception Team: Martha was helpful, but the rest of the team wasn’t. When we needed assistance, we were constantly told only the manager (Maria) could help — yet she was never around. No one else seemed to have any authority or willingness to help.
❗ Final Thoughts
We’ve stayed at many resorts around the world — both large and small — and sadly, this was one of the worst in terms of customer service. The hotel may look the part, but the service and attitude of staff are nowhere near five-star standards.
Would not recommend.

Very clean hotel but not a 5Star Hotel.
Rooms have been nicely renovated. Views are Great! Breakfast horrible. Has nothing to do with a Five Star breakfast. In 10 minutes by foot you are in Town where you get better breakfast. Please don’t book this hotel if you can’t Walk up a hill or down. Ways are very steep.

The first look at the hotel looks great a bit dated now tho but for the Location is great the views are amazing the rooms are okay the bathroom needs sorting out specially with the shower and the way it's been put in they are clean but definitely not a 5 star hotel 4 star after talking to the locals they say maybe 20 year ago 5 star but on the island itself there no 5 stars. ( from the locals) Plus only a 5 minute walk to town.
The food was alright nothing special really some of the waiter was not so good one didn't really understand then told me to go to the bar ask for some water it never come one just passed it on to other one and walked off he didn't really do much apart from stand and walk around looking lost the bar tender on the day had no clue on how to do drinks the Manger had to come in and tell her how todo it apart from that all the other are very hard working and helpful.
Some of the pools tiles are starting to lift up and I have got a small cut on my foot because of this.
The room maids are good just need to change the towels more often rather then every 2 days or so apart from that yeah no complaints.
My overall experience here was good just need to put that little bit in and make it a 5 star and push the service to the next level most of the staff are very friendly and welcoming and hard working I like to give my full honesty opinion and I will never sugar coat it in any reviews I do.
The grand blues beach hotel was a good stay I would recommend it I would stay again very breath taking views from my room.

Stayed here for 4 nights on a solo holiday visiting from the UK, the highlights for me were the amazing view of the sea from my balcony and the hotel being only a 10 minute walk from Kardemena.
The rooms are all separate to the main reception and restaurants situated at the top of the hill. They are all dotted around the hillside, this makes your stay quiet and secluded. The room was clean and had plenty of space.
It was a bit of an uphill walk to get to your room especially in the heat, although golf buggys were around if you needed a lift.
Thank you for a great stay, I really enjoyed my time in Kos
