We had a lovely holiday here. The rooms are lovely and spacious.
There is always cleaners about cleaning, the hotel is spotless!
There isn't a lot to do outside of the hotel/island but there is plenty to keep you busy on them, so no need to really leave the complex if you dont want too.
The food is delicious, especially on the island, the kebabs are chefs kiss and the jacket potatoes are the biggest I'd ever seen.

We stayed at this hotel for 12 days, and unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing.
🔹 Pools & Hygiene
The main pool was closed 8 times (almost every day!) for 24 hours because someone repeatedly defecated in it. The children’s pool was also closed 3 times for the same reason. This is absolutely unacceptable for a 5* resort. There should be clear restrictions – for example, children under 3 years old should not be allowed in the pool without special diapers. The smell around the pools was often disgusting, like sewage. The tunnel leading to Eftalia Island was almost unbearable due to the stench, most likely from overloaded septic tanks. At 40°C temperatures, it was a nightmare.
🔹 Staff & Service
A large portion of the staff were rude and irritated, and 90% did not speak English – which is absolutely unacceptable for a 5* resort. Communication with guests was nearly impossible. Smiles and good manners were practically nonexistent.
One evening on the 3rd floor in front of the elevators, there was vomit. I reported it to reception around 8:30 PM, but 4 hours later it was still there – the only change was that they had placed a “wet floor” sign. Completely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to be luxury.
Additionally, the elevators were often dirty and smelly due to spilled drinks, mostly beer, which were not cleaned in a timely manner.
🔹 Food & Drinks
The food was mostly greasy and fried. The biggest disappointment was the grill station – in 12 days, we managed to get food from there only 3 times because the queues were insanely long. The hotel could easily improve this by:
• preparing more food in advance before peak hours,
• opening an additional grill station,
• or extending dinner hours from 2 to 3 hours.
The alcohol was extremely watered down – they pour no more than 10–15 ml of liquor, and once mixed with soda and ice, you couldn’t even taste it. On top of that, charging €2 for a fresh orange juice in an “all inclusive” package is ridiculous. Either include it in the package or don’t offer it at all.
🔹 Atmosphere & Guest Experience
If you are a single woman and not looking for sex tourism – this is not the place for you. Every second male staff member, regardless of age, will try to ask you out with obvious intentions. This is very uncomfortable and unpleasant if you’re simply there to relax.
❌ Conclusion
This hotel offers, at best, the standard of a 3-star property, certainly not 5*. Strong sewage smells, unhygienic pools, dirty elevators, watered-down alcohol, rude staff, no English, and no attention to guests’ needs.
👉 We will definitely not return and I do not recommend this place.

We stayed for a week in a 3 bed swim up room. The hotel itself is very well equipped. The room was brilliant, nice and clean, the house keepers kept the supply of soft drinks topped up all week. The food was good at the hotel, if a little stressful if you went during the busy periods, if you went after the rush it was far more relaxed. We didn’t use the main pool at all, which says a lot about the swim up room pool. The occasions we walked past though, it was very slippy so I suggest pool shoes to try and combat this. Also the flooring in general was very slippy when wet throughout the hotel. The location wasn’t the greatest in terms of getting out and exploring, unless we didn’t venture far enough. We did find a beautiful restaurant on the sea front called Star Beach Club which was extremely good food and value for money. We had a holiday rep looking after us called Sergio, we lost a suitcase and he worked hard to locate and get it returned for us, brilliant service from him. The beach bars on the island seemed quiet, I think these could’ve been utilised better and made to be more inviting, they kept the lights off until people wanted to use the area. We hired a gazebo which was serviced for a day, brilliant service, they kept our drinks topped up and even brought us all lunch which was delicious. Overall it was a nice stay and no real issues at all.

Avoid Eftalia Ocean – Worst Holiday Ever
We’ve just returned as a family of five (kids 13, 10 & 7) and this was by far the worst holiday we’ve ever had.
The underpass to the beach stinks of sewage.
Food is inedible – bland, overcooked, repetitive, and sometimes unsafe.
Drinks are watered down.
Noise every night – drunken shouting, kids running corridors until 2am. No chance of sleep.
Facilities: lifts don’t work properly, floors are dangerously slippery, and most pools were closed.
Rooms: dark bathrooms, paper-thin walls, could hear next door’s headphones.
A la carte: disgraceful. Glass on the floor, warm food sat out, and I even broke a tooth on something in the “steak.”
We complained but nothing changed. Honestly, we couldn’t wait to get home. Save your money – this place is a nightmare.

Hotel always clean and staff are working 24/7. The family suite room was perfect, clean spacious and a great view. Beds are a little hard. Food is fantastic, be adventurous and try new things. I had a plate full every day with loads of Turkish food I'd never had and loved it! The coke is real Pepsi but Fanta is local brand. Wine isn't good but beer is efes. The tunnel from the hotel to the beach can stink like bad drains at times. Go to the Sunday market early in the morning before it gets to hot, or last thing before they close as they really want that last sale. Closes around 6pm.
