Aside from the front desk staff and the modern rooms, the hotel is quite far from shops and restaurants in my opinion. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the beach and main attractions.
We spent one night at this hotel but wouldn’t recommend it if you're looking for a peaceful stay. The guests are mostly very young and tend to party… There was loud music in the rooms (poor soundproofing) and people walking between rooms all night, with doors constantly slamming. The breakfast was varied, but the dining area was also quite noisy.

We have just spent 10 days on holidays at Catalonia Oro Negro and have really enjoyed the stay. The room was big enough for the three of us, with a perfect terrace to put all beach toys and clothes to dry.
The staff was very friendly and always trying to accommodate our needs, specially the housekeeping lady which was always very happy and nice with our toddler.
The buffer food was good and changed daily. All Cheffs and Waiters very friendly and happy to chat with every one.
And the Receptionists were amazing, offering advices and letting us know places we could go with our little one.
Night Mini Discos were the best. Our toddler loved going there to dance and show her best movements.
Overall, we are very happy with our stay and would definitely come back another year :)

As a repeat guest, I always enjoy my time here. The staff is warm and welcoming, the food is plentiful and delicious, and the pool is perfect for relaxing.
We had a small issue with the elevators one day, but it was resolved immediately. The entertainment team keeps the fun going, making every stay memorable.
Highly recommended for a great vacation in Tenerife!

We were hesitant after reading some of the reviews however we could not fault this hotel. Our room was fabulous, the location is brilliant. Breakfast was amazing with so many options and such fresh food. Most of the staff were helpful and overall we had the best experience and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We stayed here for 4 nights had a room on 4th floor overlooking the road. Noisy is an understatement this is a busy main road so balcony in our opinion was a no go due to stink of traffic and the noise.
Room was very tired and dated and although the bed was comfy it was wobbly and would collapse on its legs at any moment.
Bathroom although dated worked, shower was good with loads of pressure and loads of hot water.
Main communal areas in the hotel were again very dated but served there purpose.
Restaurant was average for a 3 star hotel with food being generally ok most of the time we were here, dress code states no flip flops in the evening (which makes sense) but this caused massive issues with one couple as they were refused entry to the dining room despite there already being people in there in flip flops.
Getting a sun lounger was a no go as people wait like vultures around the pool for the loungers to be placed out then take them straight away. Lifeguards were very grumpy and insisted on throwing the already damaged loungers around the pool area.
In summary this hotel does not offer value for money due to the above and the location. Pricing structure for this hotel needs to be reviewed to reflect the overall standard of the property .
