We visited Blue Bay Resort in May, it was a nice resort, rooms were clean, staff were generally good, location was quiet, but not a lot nearby. Biggest downside was the food, there was not a lot of choice the food was the same day after day and gluten free options were limited. We did find out on day 5 of 9 that we could ask for special gluten free options in the restaurant which were very nice, but we made them aware my wife was gluten free at the start so were disappointed it took 5 days to make us aware of this as it only came up because I rated them 7/10. This was a huge disappointment, would've made a big difference to have known this at the start. Entertainment was very hit and miss and not a lot of it.

Stayed at Blue Bay Resort Hotel in Crete for two weeks and overall had a lovely holiday.
The hotel itself is clean and well kept, and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming, which really makes a difference.
The pools are a bit on the small side, but still nice for a quick swim or to cool off. The sea is about an 8-minute walk away, which is great if you prefer the beach.
Food-wise, it’s average: there’s enough choice at the buffet, but the quality isn’t quite what you’d expect from a 4-star hotel. The desserts, on the other hand, are exceptional.
We stayed in a two-room suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony, which was a really nice touch and made our stay feel extra special.
All in all, it’s a beautiful place for a relaxing holiday, but there’s still a bit of room for improvement, especially when it comes to the food.

Such a lovely stay! The staff were always professional and friendly, and we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a larger room on the top floor, which made our stay even more comfortable. The room, the restaurant, the whole resort - everything was spotlessly clean! The air conditioning worked flawlessly. The location is quiet, and even with a pool-view room, we heard no noise at all.
The food is a real highlight! The meals were delicious and varied, and the drinks included in the all-inclusive were great too.
We really appreciated that we could use the resort’s facilities even after check-out.We were also given lunch and dinner vouchers while waiting for our evening airport transfer.
The only minor downsides were that the luggage room wasn't locked (anyone could walk in) and the safe in the room comes with an extra fee. In the bathroom was no shower curtain, so the floor got wet after every shower. A smart TV and a better hairdryer would have been a nice touch, but not a big deal.
Also the beach is nearby, but it’s down a steep hill, so getting back up might not be ideal for everyone.
Overall, an outstanding experience and highly recommended!

Absolutely stunning view! The hotel is clean, peaceful, and perfectly located to enjoy the landscape. Rooms are comfortable and the whole place feels relaxing. Special mention to Jenny at the bar, she’s incredibly friendly and gave us exceptional service every time. A real highlight of our stay!

Beautiful modern hotel. The hotel rooms are basic, but clean. They have a mini fridge in with bottles of water, a hair dryer, shower etc. I personally don’t believe you need anything else, as you go on holiday you don’t go to stay in the room.
The location is each to their own, we didn’t mind it. There’s a beach down the slope of the hotel, there’s restaurants there, very cheap and very friendly with beautiful food. A few shops, and water sports. Cannot complain.
The food in the hotel is very nice, they do change it everyday, there’s always pasta on everyday, for fussy eaters. But they do gyros wraps, pastas, loads of veg, salads, different types of meat. Honestly something for everyone. Cannot complain.
The only down side is that on the all inclusive they only serve raki and ouzo which by end of the stay we quite enjoyed but at the start it was a hard drink.
Overall lovely stay.
