Very disappointing experience.
I was misled by beautiful photos and advertising. The hotel rooms haven’t been renovated in 20–30 years, and the bathrooms are in terrible condition. The first night we were given a room in shockingly poor shape – even the bed linen was dirty. The next day, we were moved to a different room, which wasn’t much better. Everything felt run-down and neglected. The beach is quite far from the hotel, and the service was arrogant and dismissive. You’re simply presented with the situation and left to deal with it. I absolutely do not recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel is really good for its price and the staff is really friendly and helpful. They brought my baggage to the 3rd floor.
The all inclusive service is also good , you can grab something to eat or drink at any time during the day (23;00 o'clock).
The food is delicious, I only miss the seafood.
The rooms are being cleaned every day.
The negative side is that the pool does not offer many lounges and are always occupied by towels without really people sitting on them.
The hotel is near the beach with beach bars.( 5 minutes walking, cause the nearest beach is for the next hotel).

I booked a Superior Double Room at Hotel Marilena in Amoudara, Heraklion, but what I actually received was far from what I paid for. Instead of a proper double bed, I got a very small, uncomfortable one. From what I’ve seen and experienced, this seems to be a common practice at this hotel: they advertise one thing, charge you for it, but then don’t deliver.
When I went to the reception to complain, I was told there were no rooms available in the category I had paid for. So basically, you spend a significant amount of money for a room that you never get. The staff did not offer any solution, refund, or even an apology.
This is extremely disappointing and unprofessional. I am left wondering who will refund me the money I wasted here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values honesty and comfort.

Pros:
The staff were incredible especially eliniea and aria at the snack bar they were very energetic characters and were great service!
Cons:
The all inclusive menu was fairly limited and the food did seem repetitive at times although was nice.

The food is awful and its very similar every day. Food is very bland and kind of tasteless. The breakfast is decent. Beverages are water with color. Air conditioning is really old and it takes too much time to get room cold. After few days it started leaking. Except the staff everything is bad. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room is okay. Its clean but outdated. Connection to the center is good and near the beach. Realistically this hotel is 3 star.
