While the hotel enjoys a fantastic location and the food is good, nearly every other aspect of the stay was a disappointment.
Upon arrival, it was clear that maintenance and cleanliness were not priorities. The bedsheets had holes, and the bed itself was made up of multiple mattresses awkwardly stacked together. The corridor carpets were filthy, and housekeeping areas were often left wide open, revealing an unpleasant mess. The lifts were old and creaky, adding to the general sense of neglect.
Communication was another major issue. At check-in, the receptionist failed to explain that our booking included half board, or that drinks came at an extra charge. At the restaurant, there was no menu, and staff never clarified drink prices or options — only later did we discover unexpected charges added to our bill.
The hotel also required deposits for nearly everything, including beach towels, which could only be exchanged at 10 a.m. sharp — a rule no one mentioned beforehand.
Perhaps the oddest moment came when I received a note asking me to contact reception. When I went down, the manager wanted to “ask how my stay was.” It felt more intrusive than attentive.
By checkout, we were hit with a €19 surprise bill for drinks we hadn’t realized were extra. When we asked for clarification, the staff seemed confused and unprepared to explain.
Overall, despite its good location and acceptable food, the poor communication, lack of cleanliness, and disorganized service made this stay a deeply disappointing experience.

Great assortment of foods with snacks in-between main meals - you won't be hungry.
The rooms are clean and nice with a single minor annoyance - the sink is very low. Pool is good as well, though we didn't spend much time in it.
Overall the hotel is really great.

It didn’t live up to expectations of a 4 star hotel, it’s quite dated and should be a 3 star.
I came here 20 years ago and although it’s had a lick of paint and a couple of changes, most things are the same even down to the paintings in the room.
If you like smoking this hotel is for you, smoke in rooms and outside, makes it very unpleasant for non smokers.
The balcony glass in our room was damaged and looked unsafe, the wall plugs are even coming out.
The balcony door window lets all the noise in, with music on the strip going on until 1am, so highly recommend ear plugs.
Cleaning was hit and miss, the bed looked dirty when checking the sheets.
Drinks from all inclusive are pretty basic
Ice cream was a small chocolate and banana lolly, awful.
The food offerings for breakfast and lunch were ok but repetitive but fine and what you’d expect however the evening meals were very disappointing, you can book different locations to eat out. Georgias tavern currently has 1.6 stars on trip advisor so we didn’t attempt to try that but we did go to the Chinese, which was tasteless and just not what you’d order at a Chinese. The Mexican was nice although 6 courses so a lot of food. Finally sofa sofa, we were the only people there and the waiter came out of ‘the dark’….literally a room with no lights on when serving the food, very odd experience.
We eventually ate out every night from then on even though we were all inclusive, spending around £400.
The hotel has free WiFi but it’s patchy and can be slow.
The hotel has free sun beds but you’ll need to be up at 6am. We ended up going to the beach and other hotels.
Overall we had a good holiday and Cyprus has plenty to offer but sadly this hotel wasn’t for us, although we did speak to a few other people who said they’d been multiple times over the past few years.
We wouldn’t come again.

If you value a clean hotel and friendly staff don’t come here.
When we arrived we noticed the photos of booking where straight a lie of what we found, they just took photos of the best parts like reception area and rooms, but the rest is so old!
The cleansing ladies only do the bed and don’t clean the sheets, cups were unclean since we came with a spider there the all stay.
Also for two straight days we had to go the reception because they collected the towels and didn’t put clean ones!
One of the days they took the mugs in the sink unclean like you can see in the pictures!
Also when we arrived they didn’t let us do the check in early, they waited until 15 on point to let us in, normally they would prio guest that arrived early we wouldn’t mind going early on checkout ( as we did actually )
The food is also not good not enough variation through the days, desserts were terrible except one of the days there was a really good chocolate cake
There is nothing to do there except drink and go to the pool.
This hotel doesn’t deserve a 4 star rating

I stayed at odessa hotel from the 2nd of September until the 16th of September in room 243,
My rating does not have anything to do with the staff. All the staff I met was brilliant and really nice.
The reason for my low star rating is more to do with the cleaners and the entertainment
The cleaners are terrible, dont speak English, dont speak greek had multiple problems communicating, the bed sheets where changed once in 2 weeks and that's only because I made a point of striping the bed off and leaving all the dirty sheets and pillow casses on the floor,
The balcony was not cleaned once in my stay and the bear minimum was done by the cleaners!
The entertainment was terrible and having young children there was absolutely nothing for them to do except play in a small baby pool. There was no actual games for them in the day.
Ive stayed in multiple hotels in protaras including some owned by the Tsokos group but this one does not deserve its 4 star rating if anything its a 3stae like silver sands.
For the price tag I expected a lot more. I hope to see changes if I ever visit this hotel again
