A well located and equipped hotel, with improvement required in food hygiene and cross contamination.

Cons
⁃ Food hygiene, allergies and cross contamination knowledge.
On all days observed staff handled food with their hands to move food products cross contaminating.
Allergies were not managed correctly with food being served when specifically advised of allergies.
⁃ Lack of internal & external acoustic control. External; can hear just about anything passing by, cars, people even 7 MPH winds! There were cockerels crowing daily at 4 AM.
⁃ Pool Towels provided in room and couldn’t get one near pool. This meant that you had to wait for the cleaner the next day…
- Cleaner was not thorough did not change bedsheets or towels despite in “change towel” box.
- Not a resort, hotel buildings are scattered, more like a
Complex.

The staff is so lovely and very helpful. The hotel is very nice and nobody is rushing in the morning to put down the towels on the sunbeds. There's plenty of space for everyone. Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay there and maybe even come back there in the future.

Overall, the hotel is very good — stylish, comfortable, and well-maintained. The breakfast buffet is a particular highlight, offering a generous and high-quality selection that truly exceeds expectations.
However, the rooftop bar may not suit every guest. The music can be quite loud in the evenings, which might be disruptive for those seeking a more restful stay. It seems to aim for a lively, trendy atmosphere, but at times it feels more like noise than ambiance.
As for Cala D’Or, it may not appeal to everyone. It tends to cater heavily to tourists, and those looking for a more authentic or tranquil Mallorca experience might prefer other areas of the island.

Disappointed and Misled – Not the Serene Getaway We Were Promised
They also accused us of damage (making a hole in the wall) which is absolute rubbish after we left a review on another website.
We booked Hotel Monsuau in Cala d'Or with the expectation of a quiet, relaxing retreat. Unfortunately, our experience was far from the peaceful escape the hotel markets itself to be.
The most frustrating issue was the rooftop bar, which played loud music until midnight on three of our seven nights. This was not just background music — it was loud enough to disturb our sleep and completely shattered the atmosphere of tranquility the hotel claims to offer. We raised our concerns with the hotel manager, whose response was both dismissive and unhelpful. Incredibly, we were told we could check out and find alternative accommodation — with only two nights left in our stay. This is not the kind of response you expect from a hotel that claims to care about guest experience.
Even staff at the front desk agreed the noise was an issue, but admitted there was nothing they could do to change it. This reinforced our sense that the hotel prioritises its party atmosphere over the comfort of its guests seeking rest.
Adding to the disappointment, the hotel was actively promoting itself on Instagram as a “serene getaway” while hosting a foam party with blaring poolside music. The disconnect between the hotel's branding and the actual guest experience is misleading at best and feels like a deliberate misrepresentation.
We had hoped for a relaxing, peaceful holiday, but instead found ourselves dealing with unwanted noise and a management team unwilling to take responsibility. If you’re looking for serenity, we would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.
