Spent a week here and had zero complaints, staff were lovely and the hotel had everything you could need.. Outdoor pool was a great size and the Pirate ship is a cool feature for the children, indoor pool and sauna was perfect on our one rainy day. Hotel is only about 50 meters from the ocean and 10 minutes walk to a huge sandy beach, food onsite was great but there's also loads of restaurants within walking distance..

The first thing i noticed about this hotel was that there was one lifeguard responsible for three very large pool areas including the indoor pool area. I found this quite surprising and unsafe as there were hundreds of families staying at the hotel. There was no security guards in the whole premises that was including the hotel area and the surrounding area where all the family apartments were. Bare in mind the apartments are all in an open area that anyone can access. There were also no cleaners throughout the day. On the Saturday my children were playing at the outdoor pool and my 12 year old slipped, fell backwards and ended up with a laceration on his head he started bleeding and my husband found no lifeguard at all. My husband had to quickly use a dirty towel to stop the bleeding. After 5 minutes, still no help came even though my child was visibly in distress screaming in pain. My husband had to leave my injured son to go to the reception to notify them about what had happened, a lifeguard and the manager came 5 minutes later, all they had to say was there is no nurse or first aid kit available! Not even anything to clean his wound. We were shocked that after paying £1000 for a 6 day stay there is not even a basic first aid kit in case of emergency to clean the blood. All they had to say was, go to the hospital he needs stitches and went off on their way. We took our son to the reception area where my husband went to get the car. my sons vision was fully blurred from the concussion which made him panic and scream. From the hotel reception and staff not even one person had the decency to come and atleast try and calm him down. They were just happily laughing away and ignoring everything. An innocent child is screaming in panic and pain, do they not have a heart?I had to go and ask them for a glass of water myself. When we left to find a hospital there was nothing but small clinic so we had to travel 35 minutes away to find a hospital where my son had to have two staples on his head to close off the wound. This hotel is no good for anyone that has children as there is no safety in place and no care or decency from the staff or manager. The next evening, i wondered how my son slipped and noticed that the floors were very greasy (due to the lack of cleaning) and shockingly saw that the blood from the incident was still on the floor. There were other children playing barefoot on the blood stains. This made me angry and i went to the manager to complain. The manager was extremely smug and argumentative all he had to say was that ‘every month a child falls and requires stitches this is normal’ he said proudly. I was shocked that rather than figuring out why this happened once a month he was smug about it. I told him there is clearly no cleaning process and due to the greasy floors my child slipped. He became very arrogant and annoyed and told me the cleaners clean the pool area every day at 7am. I asked him then why is there blood from the incident still there the next day in the evening. He had nothing more to say than to fob me off. I would never wish such an awful day on anyone but the most i can do is to WARN YOU not to stay at this hotel where from the reception and hotel staff to the manager are all rude. STAY AWAY from Marins playa. NO SECURITY NO LIFEGUARDS NO CLEANERS NO FIRST AID.

We were there for a long weekend at the beginning of the season. Our room, 1301, had plenty of space and a view over the pool. There was a kettle, microwave, fridge, 2 TVs and a good size bathroom.

Hotel management is terrible and the AC in the room was not working and was neither checked. There is no technician in the night which is a nightmare as any problem reported won't be fixed! Total waste considering having paid 167€ for half board! Food too cold and the variety is nothing like what you get in a 4 star hotel! Only good thing was the spa which also was never available from the time it should be! Please choose other places which are better situated and cost effective. Don't provide your identity card for the management to have a saved copy because that is no longer the norm in Spain! Only provide them with the details. Pay for your drinks in the bar and don't fall for the deposit of 100 €

A Great hotel, in a good central location. The rooms are modern, spacious and clean offering everything you would expect. The food was fantastic and children's entertainment very good. So good we've booked to go back in a few weeks!
