We really enjoyed our time at Gaviotas, and overall it was a very good experience.
The location is excellent—just 2 minutes from the public beach, with a bus stop right at the entrance. You can easily get to Port d’Alcúdia or even the airport by bus, which is very convenient.
The food exceeded my expectations. We had breakfast and dinner included, and both were delicious, with plenty of variety that changed every day. There was really no need to go to restaurants. Breakfast even came with free sparkling wine, which was a nice touch. Lunch and alcohol aren’t included, but you can order them at the pool bar.
The room was stylish. Some people say it’s like IKEA—sure, but to me that means Scandinavian minimalist design, which I think fits perfectly with the resort’s vibe. The bed was huge, bathroom very spacious. And the cleaning service was superb.
The territory is also very nice and comfortable for lounging. I really enjoyed the 25m pool - it’s really a great option to have. Other pool is also spacious with enough room for kids and adults.
A few small things to mention:
• Two extra wall hangers would be helpful because we have both towels and robes to hang.
• No tea or kettle in the room. I saw the hotel’s response to other reviews saying you can order room service, but that’s not practical. The service and tea both cost extra, and the cups are small. I prefer large portions of tea, and I don’t want to order a new one every few minutes for 2.5€ per cup. Many hotels at lower price points provide kettles, so I don’t see the logic here.
• Breakfast being limited to two hours feels a bit short for a resort. I understand it may be intentional to encourage guests to buy lunch at the pool bar, but I think people would do that anyway.
And I have to mention a horrible smell in the early mornings. It’s not the hotel fault - I guess it’s from the factory nearby because we could smell it on the streets.
That said, it was a great stay in a great location. The staff were very accommodating and polite. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to friends visiting next year.

Globally good hotel.
Good points :
- New modern look( recently refurbished) it’s a super old American Motel type structure from the 60’s).
- Large room, large beds, touch of wood
- 3 very différents pools.
- Breakfeast, the food is good ( in that range price).
- Good coffee at the pool side
- Uniform of the staff ( globally good interactions)
Weak points:
- The refurbishment look cheap ( Ikea a like) , the lobby is cold not warm and modern.
- Our mattress was not in a good state, the shape of someone was deeply printed, you have to turn the mattress. Also the sofa bed, mattress too thin, so not confortable at all
Rooms:
- those on the outside are noisy ( street noise like mopped and cars ), windows are too thin.
- Olympic pool side, is really better, except the gardener and his vacuum cleaner at 8am ( too early).
- Also the wc is not good, you can’t close a door so noisy, not ideal for the comfort if you are more than one people.
- the curtains are too short, so light can enter the room early morning
- terrace view on neighbour
- the breakfeast room is awfull, too noisy, low ceiling, no noise pad, it is a big canteen ( like American diner) Would be better to eat in a quieter indoor/outdoor location.
- Breakfeast hours are 8-10, it’s short
- Rate was 350€ a night breakfeast included/ diner is 35 pp ( too much)
- Gym is short on equipment
Conclusion: A good hotel with room for improvement.

I came here with my partner for our very first holiday together in 2017. In June 2025 we got married and decided to stay here again for our honeymoon. This hotel holds a special place in our hearts. Since 2017 the hotel had been refurbished and it’s very very nice. The rooms are very minimalistic, modern and clean. The staff have always been amazing. The pool bar has incredible drinks & food!!
Location is very good too! If you rent a car, you will always find somewhere to park in one of the nearby streets.
We have some suggestions for the hotel! In the room there was no towel rail by the sink, this would help a lot to hang up the hand towels! Also there was no full mirror in our room. A full mirror to check what outfit you have on when getting ready would be useful. But unfortunately the worst part is that they don’t have proper black out blinds/curtains. This means it gets light in your room very early. 🙄
Breakfast: The breakfast buffet has great food BUT, it gets very full. I think because breakfast is only from 8am-10am. 2 hours is not enough time for all the rooms to come down and eat. It needs to be longer!! It was very very busy!!!
However even with these little improvements, this hotel is still very good and we loved our stay!
A special mention to Rafa on the reception who was so helpful and friendly. This man deserves a bonus. Very good at his job!

Everything was wonderful! Perfect place for a family with children of any age. The staff was always helpful with any request. Great pools for both swimming and relaxing.
Great variety of options at breakfast, and after 3 nights we also started eating at dinner, as they had so many good options.
Last but not least, playa del Muro is just 3 minutes away.

We already came here twice for cycling holidays and honestly loved everything about the hotel. The rooms are very nice and spacious giving you enough space to put your bikes on the balcony. The sports pool is a super big plus especially if you’re training for triathlons. The food is fresh, healthy and really tasty! The service is also top-notch leaving really nothing negative to say about this place. We will definitely come back!
