My stay for 5 nights here was okay. There are many things that were disappointing during my stay. I would choose somewhere else to stay next time if visiting Mallorca.
Pros:
- beach bag and beach towel provided
- Balcony and view was pretty nice from sea view room
- Decent selection of food at breakfast
- Staff was nice
Cons:
- Felt like we got nickeled and dimed for everything
- no free parking
- called the front desk to get spoons delivered to room and was told it was a 10€ fee
- Have to pay to enter sauna and hot tub at spa, for 30€ a person
- they want you to pay extra for room selection after booking
- Rooftop pool was closed both afternoons we tried to go
- I asked receptionist for restaurant recommendations and he only would suggest the hotel restaurant
- Dirty plates each day at breakfast buffet
- Dirty robes provided
- Room was a bit small
- Sheets could have been changed since we stayed for 5 nights
- Bathroom was basically transparent glass in our room, so it wouldn’t be ideal if you mind seeing anyone you’re staying with showering or using the toilet
- we were told dinner buffet was 30€ a person if we wanted to add it on. When we ate at the restaurant it was 45€ a person

The Hotel Coronado is far from a 5 star hotel. The room we got was a standard room, incredibly small, not even room for a luggage rack,
which they didn’t provide.
The room had a hot water cattle and cups but no supplies of coffee or tea, as is usual on any mid range hotels. We ask the hotel housekeeper and informed us that the standard rooms don’t get any of that. Breakfast was enjoyable on the veranda with water views. Breakfast staff were helpful, but some were just rude. Overall unfriendly staff. We will not come back here to The Coronado hotel or recommend it.
Take note,
Also it seems that part of the hotel pools facility are clothing optional,
with not clear signage, and we saw some kids around this areas.

One of the Worst Hotel Experiences: Zero Service & Disregard for Guest Safety
I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise no one to book this hotel-especially if your safety and basic human decency from staff matter to you. The service here is non-existent, and their ability to handle emergencies is simply zero. During our stay, a terrible incident happened: my friend slipped and fell while pushing luggage up the ramp at the hotel entrance. The impact was so sudden that they couldn't move after landing on the ground. What's outrageous? Every hotel staff member nearby witnessed the whole thing, yet not a single person stepped forward to ask if we needed help. It was only after I insisted repeatedly that the hotel finally called an ambulance to take my friend to the emergency room.
For nearly 2 hours-from the moment of the fall until the ambulance arrived-we were completely ignored. No staff member care about us, offered any advice, or even said a word of concern. It was as if we didn't exist, even as my friend lay injured on the ground.
What troubles me further is that I noticed most guests at this hotel are elderly people here for vacations. I can barely imagine what would happen if an elderly guest suffered such a severe fall and the hotel stood by idly the entire time. If a life- threatening situation occurred due to this negligence, could the hotel really bear the legal consequences?
This is not just a "bad service" complaint--it's a warning about a hotel that prioritizes nothing over guest safety. I am filing a strong complaint against this establishment and reserve the right to take legal action if necessary. Save yourself the risk: stay far away.

The hotel is certainly in a lovely location and staff are very welcoming! This is the 2nd time we’ve been, this time we paid a lot more for a smaller room, with a bed that was very uncomfortable the bedroom was tiny. When we checked in we asked about the spa facilities and told we would have to pay extra. I have never stayed in a hotel where your spa facilities are extra. So for me that is disappointing. I’m not sure this represents 5 star. We had half board and the choice in the evenings for dinner was ok!!

Appalling Service and Unprofessional Management
My recent stay at this hotel was a shocking disappointment from start to finish. The service was a complete failure, and it was made even worse by the manager's utterly unprofessional response to my complaints.
Upon arrival, the front desk was unhelpful and inflexible. They demanded we pay for parking for our entire stay upfront, with no option to pay nightly. When I asked if there was alternative parking nearby, the receptionist astonishingly told me she "didn't like to say."
The poor service continued throughout our stay. Our room, which included a kettle and cups, had no coffee or tea. When we requested some, a staff member rudely told us it was "not included" in our room.
The most insulting part, however, was the response from the hotel manager, Marc Ribas, to my formal complaint. In a dismissive and brief email, he addressed me by the wrong name and offered a non-apology, writing, "What you have told us is enough for us to know how to improve it, and you have already received our apologies." His email was a complete insult and showed a profound disrespect for a paying guest.
This hotel is not a five-star establishment, not because of the building, location or room, because they are all lovely! It’s the attitude of management team. The management staff are rude, the service is a joke, I don’t include the waiting staff in this aw they were nice, just the management team, who clearly don’t care about their guests' experience. I strongly advise you to book elsewhere.
