For the price, can't go wrong. Staff all friendly and hhanks to the receptionist for their help. Rooms are OK, clean and somewhat modern but walls quite thin - hear people going toilet and showering and doors all get slammed (need quiet slow closers). But for the price paid, impeccable value. Breakfast was good, plenty of choice and all fresh. Thank you for the quick, impromptu stay.

Honestly, giving 5 stars only because a lot of people give this hotel 1 star rating, which this hotel doesn’t deserve in my opinion. The real rating would be 3.5-4 stars. The room we had was with jacuzzi and sea view and this is the biggest advantage of it, because a room itself is small, but no complaints here, because we did a research before booking it and we knew what we’re getting. Room had signs of wear and definitely needs renovation, but was clean and good smelling, so stuff doing their job well. However, couple times they didn’t clean terrace, I don’t know how often they should do this. Breakfast is fine, nothing special and similar every day, but pretty common for hotel breakfast. One interesting thing: there was honey in the comb, which is uncommon for me and nice, but that was for several days and disappeared to the end of our stay, so maybe it’s something seasonal. We booked a half board, so we had a dinner every day. It was fine, the main dish including meat, fish and sides was different every single day on our 6 nights stay, maybe if you stay longer it will repeat. All main dishes were good, salads were a bit strange to my taste and probably made with random leftovers (fresh however), which is good for me because they don’t waste food in this case. Downside is desert options - only one day there was baked apples with cinnamon for desert, all other days there were only plates with whipped cream or something like that, so we didn’t really like that. And another good thing: all drinks (both alcoholic and soft) were included in the dinner, so that’s definitely a plus. Staff is very polite and helpful, can’t complain here. They didn’t bother us at all, allowed us to keep our bags in the storage for several hours in the day of our departure etc. Overall, I think I would definitely return, but only to the room with jacuzzi again since this and location are the main reasons to stay in the hotel. Hopefully it will eventually get a good interior renovation, then it will be 5/5, but now only 3.5-4/5.

I came on holiday here for 4 days with my son and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. The rooms were a bit basic but the service was outstanding. Brilliant cleaners and really hard-working staff. The people at the reception were young, vibrant and very helpful. The facilities in this hotel were excellent, especially the sauna and the steam room. We also found the breakfast to be varied and the fresh orange juice to be superb when it was available. I would definitely consider rebooking this place in the future.

She went above and beyond to make sure my check-in was smooth and that I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Her attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and sincere care made a lasting impression. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and perfectly located, but it’s the people like Barbara who truly elevate the experience. She’s a gem and a shining example of what hospitality should feel like. Hotel was booked under an easyjet holiday package, so can't really speak for the price by itself. With the package it was fantastic value though (especially since breakfast was only 6 euros extra per person on a 7 night stay). Whilst quite a small site, it still looked very friendly on arrival and rather neat. The staff on reception were very friendly and gave us a quick rundown of activities in the area and surrounding areas, whilst offering to go into more detail if needed. The rooms were rather basic, but provided a tv and two single beds with plenty of blankets. There were also 2 chairs in the room and a small table, with each bed also having a small bedside table with drawer. The shower had a great level of power, but the drain didn't seem to be able to handle too much at once. Handsoap and shampoo were also provided. Towels and bedding were changed each day and there is a laundry service if needed (at extra cost). As others have mentioned, the wifi is a bit lacking, especially in our room where it seemed to dip frequently. Didn't take a dip in the pool, although goven the weather it likely wouldn't been a bit too chilly. The pool otself dod look quite nice and seemed to be well looked after. The breakfast was buffet style with pretty similar options each day, but there was some variation on certain parts of it. They also had a coffee machine with a range of drinks (chocolate milk was a mainstay for me). Id say for the price we got it for, it was more than worth it for the weeks stay, and looking online their normal prices don't seem too bad for what you get. Would definitely recommend if you're looking to stay in this area or looking to explore the algarve, although it is about an hour from the train station (by foot). Also plenty of parking spaces.

A very nice place for a short stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful, it is a bit far from the beach but the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to and from it at various times..

Room was as you'd expect for a 3*…. Major downside was that there was no hot water and also wifi in the room was awful, but tbf it was good enough to take video calls if you were around the pool/restaurant. If you're expecting high quality you'll be disappointed, if you're expecting to get what you pay for then you'll be ok. Its in a good location if you have a car to get to local restaurant areas and also only 20 minutes from the airport. Don't expect the world but for a one night stay if you have an early flight then its adequate

I had a lovely stay at Hotel Pinhal do Sol and would gladly return. Tucked away in a peaceful location between Quarteira and Almancil, the hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere perfect for unwinding, while still being close to the beach and nearby towns. The rooms are simple but clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The pool area is a real highlight — spacious, well-maintained, and surrounded by greenery, making it an ideal spot to relax during the day. Breakfast was varied and tasty, with both continental and hot options available. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, always ready to assist with directions, bookings, or local tips.

This hotel does exactly what it says on the tin and more. We often book four or five star places around the world from las Vegas, New York, Dubai, this was a very different booking. It was cheap and cheerful breakaway in the sun 2 hours away from the UK. As a three-star it was clean, the staff were friendly, the food was tasty. The rooms were dated but the building is old and it hasn't been fully refurbished for over 10 years, but they were clean and bedding was really soft and good quality. The bathrooms do make a noise, especially when you're flushing the drains all gurgle together, and it can be quite noisy hearing neighbours, the road and other floors. But that's to be expected with tile flooring and main Road location. The pool is cleaned daily there isn't huge amount of sun lounges but you're able to get something everyday and just move around with the sun and come and go as you like. You don't need to hog the beds with your towels. The location is amazing. 2 minutes away from a beautiful beach I felt very safe. We were very impressed with this bargain basic hotel, and we would come again. The staff work so hard and are always friendly and pleasant. Thank you Atismar Hotel.

Don't go to this hotel if use wheelchair. Nor if struggle to walk as nothing around for 2.5Kilometers There's currently building works going on in hotel and due to size of hotel it isn't quiet... I was six levels away (apparently) and could hear the drilling plain as if next door. Workmen throughout the hotel. Building site made it unsafe for me to stay on my holiday and required me to leave 5days early and hotel refusing to refund unused services dispite not being equipped to have a. Wheelchair in hotel. The wheelchair wouldn't fit in lift (and mine is small) there's only 1 lift to level 11 so could only go by myself and got stuck on building site for 10minutes with help and couldn't escape as in wheelchair and lift wouldn't move. I couldn't even wheel into room I had to get out before closing door to be able to get in room and bathroom not equipped to support medical needs diapite informing before travel and checking after seeing review of Building work and was told there was no building work on going at hotel but that wasnt true. Even trying to get a drink the only pop available is full fat coke or tango or water. Drink is strawberry daiquiri (not nice) and spirits. There's no snacks on for all inclusive and if you want anything else there's a vending machine across the main road. There is a corner shop which had 150 items in shop but is more for locals then tourists and the nearest store is ahalf mile down a cobbled street. So was difficult to go out and stay at hotel. I was unsafe so needed to leave. I really wouldn't suggest this hotel if your in a wheelchair. They arnt equipped to support and when issues arise they dont resolve we were left to figure it out and all we could do was order food in as dispite being told snacks and drinks on arrival we were made to go to vending machine which only has 3 options which is shocking if going to use as main access to ammnaties. It's disappointing as view and space amazing for someone without my needs but when informed of needs and wont support left with no choice but to leave early. And hotel refused to refund dispite not being able to accomodate for medical needs already informed of.

We had an overall pleasant stay, with some very good points but also a few issues that affected our experience. We arrived around 9 AM and, as expected, our room wasn’t ready yet. The receptionist was very kind and helpful, and we received our all-inclusive wristbands at 11 AM so we could already use the bar while waiting. We were also given a clear information sheet about meal times, snacks, drinks included in all inclusive, and other useful details. It’s great that lunch or dinner can be exchanged for a picnic box if you plan to spend the day outside the hotel. The room itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were good, there were plenty of lights, air conditioning worked well, and there was a built-in wardrobe. There is no fridge in the room, though. We stayed on the 9th floor and the two lifts were fast and reliable. The bathroom, however, had several issues. It’s quite small, and the toilet is placed very close to the sink counter, which makes it uncomfortable to use. The wall-mounted soap dispenser is installed unusually far from the sink, almost above the toilet, which is not practical at all. Although we had shampoo, soap and enough towels, one of the towels was torn. There were also ants constantly coming through two small gaps on the sink counter, which was very disturbing. In addition, there was visible mold around the sink area, which negatively affected the overall cleanliness impression. The food was really good and tasty (5 stars for the chefs). Lunch and dinner usually included one type of soup, three kinds of meat, different side dishes, pasta, pasta sauces, salads, pickles, savory snacks, desserts, fruit and fruit salad. In the restaurant there was a self-service soft drink machine, draft beer, and also a self-service wine tap with white wine, red wine, rosé and sangria. The beer was surprisingly tasty and good quality. It was also helpful that the lunch and dinner menus were displayed at the restaurant entrance. Breakfast had a wide selection: various cold cuts and cheeses, bread and rolls, English breakfast items (mini sausages, bacon, mushrooms, grilled tomatoes, scrambled eggs, baked beans, boiled eggs), cereal, yogurt, fruit, sweet pastries and pancakes. Drinks included milk, coffee, tea and juices from a machine. There was also a snack bar open between lunch and dinner, offering cold cuts, bread, butter, crisps and fried bites. We tried the picnic box one day instead of lunch. Unfortunately, you cannot choose what goes inside. For two people we received two simple sandwiches (white bread with ham and cheese, no butter – quite dry), one apple, one orange, two small bottles of water and two small orange juices. It was convenient but very basic. It’s good to know that you can request a hairdryer, kettle or iron at the reception with a refundable deposit. One strange situation happened with housekeeping. One day we put the “do not clean” sign on the door, but later in the evening we saw a cleaner and asked for an extra roll of toilet paper and she refused to give one. It wasn’t clear to us whether declining cleaning also means you can’t receive basic supplies, which felt a bit inflexible. Most of the staff were outstanding, but we had an uncomfortable moment at the bar. When my partner ordered a non-alcoholic cocktail for me and mentioned that I don’t drink alcohol, the bartender lady replied: “Never? How can you not drink alcohol on holiday?” - with a judging tone of voice. This comment felt unprofessional and made us uncomfortable. In summary, the hotel has strong points like good food, a nice drink selection, a helpful reception and restaurant team and comfortable rooms. However, the bathroom condition, the ants, some impractical design choices and a few staff interactions show that there is still room for improvement in overall guest experience.

It’s a nice hotel needs some TLC, not much of a view from the hotel as it’s surrounded buy buildings, but it’s very close to the seaside and the beach, the food i would give it a 4 stars rating, not a lot to choose from but it’s all full of flavours, there is no ice cream at all at lunch or dinner time, the staff are super friendly and so nice here I have to say, the bar is only a bar, when I booked it said a snack bar but you don’t get any snack snacks at all, they have some crisps for sell, if you are all inclusive you don’t get anything at all big let down I have to say about that, there was a lot of ants in the room and I did report it to the hotel and they did sort it out 4 times, I think they need to refurbish the hotel and it could be amazing again but it’s still a lovely hotel to go to and stay as you are very close to McDonalds, and lots of cafes and restaurant as well so you can go anywhere to eat and see things and try new thing if you wanted to

A great option for families in the Algarve, especially during holidays. 👍 We visited on January 1st (public holiday) and were pleasantly surprised that it was open — definitely a big plus and gave our child a very fun and memorable day. A few things worth noting for first-time visitors: Lockers are NOT included with the ticket. Even though we bought tickets online, we only found out at the changing area that lockers require a separate payment (€3 + €3 deposit). We had to go back outside to the counter to handle this. Clearer instructions in advance would help a lot. Time limit feels a bit short. The ticket seems to allow around 3 hours, which can feel rushed with kids. A longer option, such as a half-day or full-day pass, would be much appreciated. Facilities need some attention. In the men’s changing room, there were only two hair dryers and neither was working. Given this is a basic necessity, maintenance here should be improved. Overall, a fun and well-designed indoor water park, especially good for kids and bad-weather days. With clearer information and a few facility improvements, it could easily be a 5-star experience.

I went during the off season so I’m not sure how busy it gets during the holidays. It’s a very kidfriendly place but they also have spa facilities for adults only which is a nice touch. They’ve got about five different water slides, but be preparedthere are loads of stairs to climb, so you’ll be knackered after a couple of rounds. The staff mostly speak English which is really helpful. You do have to pay for a locker when you arrive and they seem pretty strict with the time slots so I’d recommend booking at least a 2 hour session. I’m fairly active but I was done in about an hour and 45 minutes. The facilities are clean throughout. They have individual changing rooms along with separate male and female toilets. For adults there’s a huge jacuzzi, a steam room, sauna, ice bath and a heated tiled relaxation room which is a really nice. Overall, it’s a really solid water park doesn’t feel like much needs improving. It’s definitely worth the price if you want a productive and fun couple of hours.

We went on a Sunday and there was a huge queue in but it moved surprisingly fast. The queues to some rides were large but we rotated between rides to avoid the busy periods on the more popular rides. It was a great day and the rides were definitely worth the trip. The only downfall was the food we had, avoid the hotdogs 😅

Visited Aquashow Waterpark in September much quieter than peak season, so minimal queues and a really enjoyable day. Clean, well-organised, great mix of rides, and suitable for all ages and groups. Definitely one of the best water parks in the Algarve.

We had a fantastic time at this hotel for 2 weeks bonus you had waterpark next door. Room was lovely clean food was great. Only thing its out of the way of shops restaurant you need to get taxi or bus other then that as family we had a great stay.
