We have stayed here twice now and like the hotel, it's reasonably priced for a good location 2 mins from the beach. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. The double bed we had is a little on the firm side but what suites one person doesn't suite another, it was clean and fresh. The staff are friendly enough and breakfast is good with plenty of choice and seating indoors or out overlooking the pool. We will keep returning here as it's ideal for us.

Lovely hotel, the staff were great and very nice. We stayed in room 602 we asked for a room with a sea view.... Once we got to the room we found out it also had a balcony which was a bonus (I'd asked previously if I could upgrade to Seaview and balcony through love holidays but they said none were available) the room was very clean and fresh bedding of course. We had B&B the breakfast was ok but we weren't too bothered as went out a few times for breakfast anyway. On the last night there was a coach of nosiy teenage students that must have been on a school trip for the week so they were in the stairwell gone past 10pm making a lot of noise but it was out last night luckily and didn't have to be up too early. So apart from that it was a great stay and the views were beautiful if we come back to Portugal on the future I will definitely use this hotel again. I would recommend theses restaurants to try if your not eating at the hotel : Rosa branca which is a lovely seafood restaurant on the beach down to the right towards vilamoura it's about a 5-8 minute walk. Ikilibrio and try the gotas cheese salad I've never tasted anything so amazing in my life that also about 5 minute walk and is down a side street of the beach Girafa which has a beautiful banana pizza.... Yes banana I was sceptical but it was amazing thats to the left of the hotel directly on the beach front it has a giant giraffe outside. Theres lots of trinket shops about and I also highly recommend a trip to vilamoura harbour it has amazing restraunts on the front. It's about 35 minutes walk or 10 minute by bolt/uber taxi. Overall the stay was fantastic. Quarteira is a beautiful place if you want to relax and chill.

Peq almoço 5 estrelas but I paid for sea view and got a different room . I called reception and he said to speak to them in the morning . Did not get my money back and didn’t want to loose time disputing through my credit card . Rooms are outdated and old and not comfortable .staff were useless

This is not a 4 star stay! Rooms are dark and dingy, the walls are filthy and you can see paint peeling off the ceiling. The mattress ruined mine and my husbands back! There was a huge dip in the bed, extremely uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean but worn. There was no room service offered. No coffee or tea offered, there is s vending machine with questionable tasting coffee! The staff were professional enough. The sauna is out of use. The balcony had a great view to the sea and main road

I am here on a long stay and wanted to extend my stay because the hotel is lovely and the staff are excellent. I had a few issues with my stay and asked the director could I have a discount on my additional stay. The price he gave me was a joke, as the hotel web site says best price guaranteed. No discount for my issues and I got a much better price through a booking agent and the hotel has now to pay a booking agent a commission. The hotel has a lot of unused potential and I wondered why but it has a director that has a lot to learn.

Little hotel off the beaten track with two areas. We were in the villa down the bottom end which was very quiet. The room was small and basic but clean and perfect for our stay. The hotel operates a free bus to Quartiera town 4 times there and back a day or a taxi will be €6. The staff are very helpful and the small quiet pool area never had more than 5 people there which was lovely. A taxi for Vilamoura Marina is €10 or 12. We had a great stay, would definitely recommend for quiet holiday-goers.

Had a lovely time here,staff very nice and helpful 😊 rooms big and clean 👍 everywhere spotless , not much to do but relax 😀 at the pool ,free bus into town it would take 40 / 50 minutes walk into town but the beach is worth it when ur there and the town , very little entertainment when we were there ,u really have to make ur own

Been here before and each time feels good although slight changes this time made us think it will probably be the last,the food was poor and cold most often although it was the same chief so I think it was due to cut backs in finance. We would like to come back again but we think that pinhal do sol has lost its family feels which is a sad loss

The worse Hotel I ever been!!! High level of prices as usual in Algarve, old rooms requiring a full renovation, air conditioner without cleaning and maintenance spreading a very bad smell, wifi and tv not working, no fridge, bathroom poor cleaning after previous guests occupancy. Only the price charged match an real hotel standards. The Portuguese tourism bureau allowing this place keeping runing with hotel licensing is contributing for a very poor image of tourism in the country allowing disgusting hotels running without any control, inspection and without obligation of follow the minimum requirements to be called and licensed as an hotel.

Hotel Zodiaco was a wonderful experience. Clean rooms. Hospitable staff. A conservative but quality food menu for lunch and a good breakfast service. Walkable to downtown Quarteira, ~10min. Highly recommend!

So clean not sure why it’s a 3 star but it was great. You get breakfast included, it’s just basic continental but that’s really all you need. Pool was so clean and lovely to have your morning swim. Rooms were spacious and have a large shower with nice LED lighting. It is a little far out from town but if you have a rental car your sorted, you can walk however it’s around 30 mins walk.

Our second stay at the Atismar and thoroughly recommend it; even better than 2020. Food is good, always a vegetarian choice, nice variety at each meal time. Dining room closes at 9 so it's quiet there after that. Drinks also good compared to other hotels where all inclusive means cheap/unpalatable drinks. Staff very helpful always; room very quiet and housekeeping do great work. Good position for beach; bus station five mins. Pool gets sun most of the day ( it's end of March now) and beds are always available but it might be different in high season. Lovely wide promenade to stroll along; plenty of places for coffee/meals. A bonus is that there is Internet throughout the hotel We will be back; thank you Atismar.

No soundproofing on the walls at all- could hear everything from the restaurant/bar below and from the rooms nearby and hallway. Restaurant busy with moving chairs etc. until 11:30pm, then noise starts again at 7am. Towels were sometimes dirty. Breakfast food was extremely bland and everything tasted processed /not fresh. Only plus side was that the staff was helpful when needing to tell rooms to lower the music...

Good location,beds and pillows not very comfortable. One small lift in use only. Only fits 4 small people and if there's a queue around mealtimes you can be waiting a while. Rooms are very basic with no fridge for storing cold drinks. Walls are very thin and hotel is noisy.

One of the best parks in Portugal for water experience and only one with an indoor water park. The water and air inside the park was very comfortable and you don't get cold after sometime. There is a cafe inside but I don't need it as 3 hours stay inside is very tight. Tickets don't include locks for your things, extra 5eur.. and don't include sky walking with ropes or playground.

Good fun day out. Aquashow has some great rides, slides, and pools, although the wave pool was rather weak and disappointing, as well as having to wait an extraordinarily long amount of time for them to turn the waves on!! There are also Aquashow staff wandering around the grounds with various animals for you to pose with for their photographer to take a picture (which you can buy later for €10 each). They're very clever in blocking you from taking a picture yourself. Animals we saw included snakes, lizards, owls and macaws (parrots). The rides were accompanied by long queues in the morning, and until about 2.30pm, at which time it started to ease off, and the wait time for some of the better rides was about 10-15 minutes! Lunch was fairly good. We had chicken, chips and salad. The Portuguese cut chicken very strangely, so your meat almost looks unidentifiable but it tasted good, so that's what really matters. There are lockers to put your valuables in, but we didn't bother, and most Portuguese don't either. It did feel very safe! Might be advisable to take a picnic, and pitch up a small tent or umbrella in the grounds wherever you make base. Worth visiting if you like water rides!!

Fantastic couple of days, went in at opening time on both days mid way through June, queues are always likely on the big rides, but they move quick and staff know what there doing. Food stands were sparse, but the ones which were open were reasonable prices. Didn’t seem to bother most the others there, but walking around barefoot on the concrete floors got a little hot underfoot, suggest taking a cheap set of sandals, ones you don’t mind loosing. Every ride reds you to leave them at the bottom of the steps ;) Plenty of sunbeds around the place, but lots of people just leave towels on the grass areas ;)

Two adults had a great day at the waterpark! We visited on a Friday at the end of September and barely had to queue for anything. There's limited shade around so take a cover-up if you burn easily and be prepared for lots of high staircases!

Very busy the day we went. Lines very long. Food was expensive €10 for a meal and consisted of burgers, hot dogs & nuggets. 2 salad options- which were nice. The wave pool was the best for us. The bathrooms and changing rooms could do with a upgrade as they felt run down. Was a fun day!

We loved our first stay here. The hotel is charming, it’s modern enough but has its own character and all the facilities we wanted. The staff are so nice and friendly. Breakfast is great and served in a lovely room overlooking the pool terrace. The place is very golf friendly with complimentary transfers to and from the Dom Pedro courses. The location is a two minute walk to the marina and beach and a short (5 minute) drive to the golf courses. We plan going back later this year and will definitely be staying here.

Very clean. Smartly presented. Excellent staff. Food Excellent. Very comfortable and highly professional. Everyone has time for you, with help and advice freely and accurately given. The Dom Pedro Marina has a great 'feel'. Light, airy and spacious.

We spent a week on a non-golfing hotel in Vilamoura. The Dom Pedro Marina is well situated to explore the immediate and outlying area. The majority of the guest were golfers.The hotel overall is spotless. The bedrooms well large, clean and well appointed. Breakfast has a good choice of continental and cooked food which was tasty and plentiful. We didn’t try the restaurant for dinner as it doesn’t open until 7.30pm and they are so many good quality restaurants nearby. All staff were pleasant and helpful . We used Uber to visit a number of nearby towns and attractions.

I felt welcome and well cared for during my stay. My room was spacious, clean and well climatized. The view was nice! All staff were very friendly and always tried to help. The hotel was nicely situated, with a short walk to the beach and the marina, and the many restaurants there. There was parking for my car (might be more difficult when the hotel is full, as there is no parking garage). Overall, I had a very pleasant stay.

Although it's somewhat dated now the hotel is clean and was more than adequate for our purposes. Only 1 lift working didn't help, better than none I guess. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was good quality although I would have liked freshly cooked omelet as an addition.

Our 2nd stay here and we loved it again. The location is excellent and is the main attraction really. We got a very good rate on the room this time too via Agoda. Other pros; it's very clean and modern throughout, the bar terrace is a great spot to watch the sunset, the bar staff are very friendly (they also make the best Pina Colada), the beds were firm and really comfortable, breakfast was great with plenty of options. Some cons; the standard rooms are a bit small, the pool area is also a bit small and can get busy quickly, the front desk staff were a bit stand offish and unfortunately for them they have a temporary desk as there are works going on which felt a little impractical. Tips; get an Uber to / from Faro airport (only €16-25), the indian restaurant next door is really good, walk up to Vilamoura marina on a nice sunny day (only ~30 minutes and flat).

Stayed at this beach hotel 4 times (12 weeks total) it’s one of only 2 hotels I would stay long term in this area. Rooms are clean, maybe a bit small for some. Passing at the bottom of the beds can be tight. Showers are great, very clean rooms. Location is great. Aim for a high balcony room, you can watch beautiful sunsets over the water. Hotel opens out onto the esplanade, tiles, so no roads to cross. Staff can’t do enough for you. Breakfast is buffet and substantial. Internet can be intermittent but WiFi covers the hotel.

Fantastic hotel with a very friendly team with views right onto the beach. I recommend that you do get a seaview room, it's well worth the extra cost. The breakfast in the hotel is fantastic with an excellent choice of hot and cold options.... including pastel de natas. The bar area is fabulous to relax in and has a lovely outdoor terrace area to watch the beautiful sunset. They also have a happy hour every day between 5-6pm with a third off drinks.....and the white wine is delightful 🥂 The rooms have recently been refurbished to a fantastic standard. There are a great selection of bars and restaurants around the hotel and you are a 15 mins walk from Vilamoura Marina.

This hotel was really nice, the location was key to us choosing this particular one. It was right on the beach front and so near to all local amenities. The place was always clean, the staff were always friendly. The food was amazing, especially at breakfast, there was so much choice. The pool was clean, and the seating around there was spacious. Really recommend this hotel.

If you want the party scene then not for you but if you like quiet and peaceful then perfect. Rooms basic but clean, beds are amazing and the lady on reception is very friendly and helpful. Easily walkable to beach, bars and shops. Beautifully kept gardens and surroundings. Pre arranged phone call to pick up our keys on arrival as we were landing at night made everything go smoothly. Paid wifi, which I found very good and free air conditioning. A perfect "get away from it all" break.

upgraded from north facing studio apartment, which was really lovely to an absolutely fantastic 1 bedroom, south facing apartment with large balcony.... so worth extra cost. Very clean and extra blankets appreciated as we there in January. Beach only 7 mins walk. good local restaurants and shops. near bus station. Highly recommended. Clean but small rooms, self catering with usable kitchen area. Good location in quiet area but still only 5 minutes to everything important. We arrived late and there is no 24 hour reception. But a pre arranged phone call was all it took to get our room, no problem.. Good value for the price we paid.

15-20th February 2024 We stayed at Praia Sol by chance after an Airbnb booking had badly let us down. The staff were very friendly & attentive. The hotel & room was spot on; clean, spacious, had a comfortable double bed & a nice hot shower. What more could you need? Praia Sol was great value for money. Located conveniently for visits to the marina & nearby plenty of cafes/shops/restaurants etc. You helped rescue our holiday! Kind regards

Not sure why so many negative reviews about this place. This place is perfect for getting around the marina, place is spotless clean and sunshine on the balcony. Place a bit dated but perfectly fine. Breakfast is a bit sparse but OK for the price of the room
