The key aspect that makes this a 5-star review is the staff. We have stayed here for 8 days and every single member of staff has been a delight. Leticia from the Vista de Rey pool bar, Netty at the shops and golf concierge, Miguel in operations and more, all of which have been beyond special and made this trip so incredible. We were slightly upset about the vista de rey restaurant not being open and the taxis being unreliable (not Hilton’s fault) but they all made up for it and went beyond necessary to help us out. Overall, breakfast is really nice, lunch is more of the above and the workers just make it a million pound experience.

It was just OK. Would not class as a 5 star sadly due to a lot of minor things.
* under staffed at reception and breakfast, long queues in lobby area, breakfast is total carnage and panic with staff
* some staff at poolside bearly speak english which is not what youd expect at a 5star
* so much noise in room at night, can hear everything from outside the rooms, to inside the rooms such as moving furniture, flushing of toilets, knocking on walls, showers, voices.
* rooms cleanliness is poor. floored are not mopped they are just brushed. lots of ants on the floor of bedrooms which the staff said was "normal".
* room set up is poor. we had a suite on floor two, but entry to the balcony was poor as theyd put a table in the way, the excess to the bathroom was poor as we had to enter the bathroom sideways, it felt like theyd tried to fit in too much into a small space. didnt need two TVs, dont need a large sofa plus a large chair
* the safe wasnt working, so had to lock our valuables in suitcase
* the shower hose broke/snapped at the head, so had to be replaced.
* the dinner buffet was really poor. hardly any choice.
* room service is 75 euros per request!!!
* late check out is 30euros for an hour.
* there is a place for children to play but un-supervised so an adult has to be present at all times, or you leave your child on their own!
* bar staff spend more time speaking to each other than taking your orders.
* to get a towel for the pool, u need to get a ticket from reception, so have to walk up the stairs into the lobby, wait in a queue to get a ticket from the understaffed reception desk, then back down again all the way back round to give the ticket and get a towel. unnecessary process.
* when sun bathing by the pool, the surrounding trees would shed little branches, which would litter the pool and pool floor, and was not cleared until the night or morning.
* pool is closed until 930am in mornings, and pool bar closes at 5pm in the afternoon. madness. -/////////
Positives were:
* staff friendly
* breakfast choices/options were very good
* pool was warm and deep in parts for good swimmers, or kids to jump in. -/////////
OVERALL, not too impressed, would not stay here again, but not the fault of the staff. the place is just basic and understaffed. (and they need to address the ants problem!)

Tucked away in a secluded area in the hills. The staff was great and very helpful. I couldn't really enjoy the food because I'm allergic to pork and they served a lot of it at the buffet during our stay. Lots of walking and things to see. Beautiful views. The room was clean, a bit small for our family's needs though.

Hilton Galatzo is a very nice property with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the sea. It has spacious room, large swimming pools, adults only area and interior swimming pool which is a great place for colder days. All the staff are very nice and friendly and try to make you feel very comfortable.
The location is great for a relaxing holiday away from busy seafront towns but only a few minutes from beaches, mountain hikes and towns. The restaurant options for lunch and dinner are a bit limited outside of the main season (unless you like buffet) so you might need to get some fresh food or go to restaurants elsewhere. That said, I would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Mallorca.

I will not stay at this hotel again.
The negative aspects far outweigh the positives. I would say it’s a 3star hotel but not a 5star hotel.
1) Location
The hotel is far from everything. That’s fine if you plan to spend your entire stay on the hotel grounds—but in this case, I doubt you’d want to.
• Taxi from the airport: Minimum €50
• Taxi to the port: Minimum €30, and good luck finding one for the return
• If you don’t want to spend a lot on taxis, you’re basically stuck here.
2) Hotel Grounds
I stayed at The Residence. Reaching my room from reception took about 5 minutes on foot: Through the lobby, downstairs around the pool, down again via stairs, through a long hallway, elevator down, more stairs, around a corner, up more stairs, and finally, another elevator up to my room. An absolute hassle—especially for families with kids or anyone with mobility issues.
3) Food
• Very limited selection overall
• Breakfast: Acceptable
• Dinner buffet: Poor, especially for €40
• Pool area: Adequate, but nothing to write home about
4) Room
• Small and not particularly comfortable
• Sink in the kitchenette was clogged
• Only two small cans of water provided for the entire stay
• One small bottle of water costs €4 at the hotel
In the bathroom:
• No toothbrush, toothpaste, or other basic toiletries—a problem if your luggage is delayed
• Not even a glass for your toothbrush
