Stayed here as a couple in our early 20s. The location is ideal, close to restaurants, pubs etc. In a very central location. Pool was great with plenty of sunbeds. Hotel itself is a little outdated but for the price you pay it’s expected. Rooms were clean and cleaned every day with fresh towels. Bathroom was plain but does the job. Staff very friendly. Recommend for those on a budget looking for a central location to stay in! :)

To be honest, I don’t really get the bad reviews - the only real con is the noise coming from the corridors at night (the other guests). Except for that, the AC was working perfectly, the room was clean and spacious, big bed, really nice staff welcoming everyone with smiles and a great location. For this price during high season in Malta it’s a steal!

We stayed here for a long weekend celebration for my friend’s 21st birthday. We didn’t really read the reviews before booking, however read them in the airport and started to panic. However we were pleasantly surprised and felt it was important to leave a review of our own.
We are all well traveled individuals and although this was not the best hotel ever, it certainly wasn’t the worst. We belive we got lucky with our room being on the top floor as it was bigger than anticipated, and of others we saw. We had a spacious room with large balcony overlooking the bay. 1 double bed and 2 single beds for 3 of us, all reasonably comfortable. And suprisingly quiet considering the hotel’s placement. And a reasonably sized bathroom with bath\shower. The door to our balcony was very dodgy. Difficult to slide without it lifting up, and difficult to lock also. Our room door also did not lock, however we slid the desk infront of it and it made do.
There is 2 large pools, with a shallow kids pool connected to one. A pool bar that offered plenty of drinks, ice-creams and food. The cocktails were nice, although we didn’t try the food it looked nice from what we saw.
The hotel itself is massive, although it is desperate need of some tlc. It is very dated and could do with a refresh, the lifts especially. However that didn’t really affect our stay.
We would say it is more of a party hotel. There was a few families with small children who didn’t seem bothered about the large groups. And they shouldn’t be. But there was a lot of younger groups obviously here for the nightlife. Again, there was no issues that we noticed.
For nightlife, you can’t be in a better spot. Right round the corner from the Paceville strip, 24 hour spar, and a really good late night pizza spot. Lots of good clubs nearby like Hive, Havana, and Pacha.
Things to note: you will need 20 euros in cash for a deposit for the air conditioning remote. Despite reccomending to leave valuables in the safes, they do not work. They have a place behind the desk you can leave valuables. However my friend described this as ‘accessible to anyone’, so we did not do this.
For what we paid for our stay, it was ok. I would stay here again if I was coming for a similar trip.

Booked this hotel without really looking at the reviews and feared the worst after reading some of them.
Wouldn’t normally bother with reviewing somewhere but thought it might help other people who are nervously scrolling through the reviews like I was.
I honestly have to say I was pleasantly surprised by it.
For context, we were visiting for a stag do. Wouldn’t come here as a couple or as a family.
The negatives are that we could only have one room key between 4 of us, there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms, and the shower head wouldn’t stay still at the right angle.
It is also quite old fashioned and dated, but I don’t think that really matters when you’re there for a few days.
The beds were comfortable; the staff were friendly; the pool was great and the bar there was fairly priced; the location is very central and, most importantly, the air conditioning was fantastic.
Ultimately, it’s a very cheap hotel, so you get what you pay for.

The Worst Place on Earth – Avoid at All Costs!
This place is straight out of a horror movie – creepy, neglected, and completely unfit for anyone to stay in. The hotel is in desperate need of renovation and currently looks like an abandoned set from a nightmare. The smell of sewage spreads throughout the building, there’s moisture everywhere, and the curtains are so disgustingly dirty it’s hard to even look at them. Foul odors hit you the moment you walk into the room. We didn’t even receive towels or any basic toiletries for showering – it’s as if we weren’t even considered guests. We left the hotel on the first day because staying there simply wasn’t an option. An absolute anti-recommendation for families, couples, or anyone expecting even the bare minimum of cleanliness and decency. This is by far the worst place we have ever seen – truly the lowest of the low. This hotel should be shut down until it is completely renovated!
