We we're on a bed and breakfast basis, the room was spotlessly clean, small kitchenette if you chose to eat in occasionally. Settee.dinning area and balcony. There was excellent choice of food for breakfast and very helpful staff. The location of the hotel for us was perfect as bus stops virtually outside the hotel. Not far to get to the ferry for Gozo, beach and the nature reserve to search for the chameleons. If you tend to use the local buses it's worth getting the pass.

RBL Malta

Our walking group Malta Geographical Society had a weekend of walking and relaxation March 15-17, 2024. We booked rooms on recommendations from members who had stayed there. We were given a good deal and really enjoyed the great rooms with kitchenette. Staff were welcoming and very efficient. Buffet breakfast and dinner was delicious and plentiful, especially after a day’s walking. Many of us will be returning!

Our stay at this hotel was absolutely fantastic and unquestionably deserves a five-star rating! From the moment we stepped into the lobby to the time we left this charming resort, we experienced the highest level of service. The hotel staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to answer our questions and fulfill any requests we had. The hotel's restaurants offered a wide variety of delicious dishes. We will certainly return on our next opportunity. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a memorable stay.

Booked this holiday through a travel agent, after reading the reviews of the hotel I was slightly worried about our stay but I was extremely happy and surprised and enjoyed every second of our stay. Please ignore the bad reviews! Room: We had a twin studio room which included 2 single beds, tv, gas cooker, cutlery and plates etc and fridge, everything was spotless, clearly Newley renovated (except the bathroom which could do with an upgrade but everything worked and no complaints at all). We had a balcony on the end of a block which was covered by the rest of the building so we can no sun but we were out every morning by 8.30am so we did not need the balcony, but for people that want to chill for the morning it may be an issue, it also had a view right to the sea despite all the buildings in the way we could still see the sea! The only issue we found with this room because of it being on the end of a block on a corner, the door to the balcony was at the end of the room hidden and that’s the only light we had, so during the day we needed all the lights on so it was dark, but this was only for 20 mins when getting ready for bed to go out so it’s nothing to be bothered about Food: We had the buffet breakfast on the last morning and it had everything you needed; fry up, fruit, yoghurt, cheese/ham, toast, hot and cold drinks/ juices, small pastries. As we were paying for one breakfast it cost €10 each for the buffet but I believe if you pay for your whole stay when you get there it is cheaper, but there are plenty of places in the town to have breakfast. I saw lots of negative reviews about the food but I don’t know what more you need with a buffet breakfast there’s something for everyone and vegetarians. The menu looks good for evening food also and definitely decent prices (especially compared to UK). Happy hour in the bar is 4-7pm on cocktails. Regardless drinks are still cheap (again cheaper than UK) €7.50-8 for cocktails. Hotel: The staff are so friendly and nothing is too much, we got extra pillows and cutlery, we managed to also check in before 3pm as it was already cleaned, luggage storage is free. Everything is clean, there is live entertainment most nights like live music. There is also free wifi in the rooms and around the hotel. There is a roof top pool but it wasn’t open in April when we went but the indoor pool was open and it is heated. The staff are more than happy to assist and they are extremely helpful and chatty and always smiling. Location: Despite it looking like top of the island you can get to anywhere in the island as the links are fantastic. Be aware sometimes the buses don’t turn up or if they’re full they will not stop so plan ahead and try go for an earlier bus in case this happens, for example we went up to the ferry for 10am ish and the first bus didn’t turn up and the second didn’t stop so we had to wait an hour all in all for a bus, so if you have a Gozo trip - plan ahead or get a bolt. The hotel is situated at the bottom of a very steep hill but you can get a bus up to the town, there’s coffee shops and plenty of places to eat. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the sandy beach and there’s a beach club on the seafront and a Starbucks with beautiful views. There’s also a nature reserve opposite the beach which you can spot chameleons which is free of charge you just need to check the opening hours. There’s about 3/4 different buses which you can get to around the island and the bus stop is 1 minute if that from the hotel. There is nothing hard to get to from the hotel, the area is so peaceful and quiet, if you head down towards St Paul’s bay it’s busier and so on! There’s a beautiful church at the top of the hill and there’s also ww2 airfare shelters by the church which is only €2.50 entry and extremely interesting. I am already looking at coming back this year or next year. Thank you for an excellent stay 😃

Luna Holiday Complex is a very nice hotel, our room was a modern self catering studio room. Good size with a balcony with nice views of a church at the top of a hill. The swimming pools both inside (heated) and outside on the roof top are great. Really good gym too with all the equipment you need for a good workout. There is a restaurant, but we only ordered food from the bar which was good. Some evenings have live music which was nice. Oh and the bar does great cocktails and don't forget happy hour 😜! The hotel is situated only 15 mins walk to a nice sandy beach and there are bus stops close by which you can explore the whole island of Malta. We would be very happy to come back. 😎.
