Very nice place to relax! It is located at the edge of a settlement and is very quiet and peaceful. Like the island of Gozo itself. Nearby in the morning the roosters crow, and a donkey joins them. The pool is very clean and there are a lot of flowers around it. We were in an apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms and it was comfortable. Overall the furniture is a bit worn, but it is clean. There are no restaurants around, but the kitchen has the necessary equipment and utensils. You just need to bring your own cooking products. Since Malta has English electrical outlets, we expected there would be adapters, but there weren't any. There is underground parking, which is very convenient.

On first arriving, we were absolutely smitten.
Cottages were dated but clean and charming in a rustic way.
We were staying for a week . The pool and surrounding complex was beautiful.
Unfortunately on our 5th night we were horrified to discover an enormous cockroach, scurrying around the living and kitchen area my partner trapped the cockroach under a glass. As it was late Saturday night there was nothing we could do but wait till Monday when the onsite office would be open , it was very unsettling and we didn't sleep well that night.
The following evening we went out for dinner and upon returning were greeted with another very large cockroach.
I didn't want to stay after that.
When the office opened on Monday we let them know about the cockroaches and said we didn't feel comfortable staying,
They sent the caretaker who sprayed some repellent, didn't find where they were coming from and even suggested that having the kitchen window open would be their point of entry , which is nonsense as the window had only been opened that morning. We were refunded €40 of the €52 we paid for the night we didn't use, as we left after 2pm, and the lady in complex management said they wouldn't be able to rent it out for that day, which is a little concerning in itself as you would think they would be sorting out the infestation before renting it out again. No apologies or even trying to offer any compensation for spending two evenings with two very large cockroaches.
It's sad because it had so much promise. We will not be returning because I wouldn't pay money to share accommodation with cockroaches. Sorry.☹️

Fantastic apartment with plenty of space. Lovely pool and place to relax, sadly a few too many children, would be best as an adult only as only one pool to share. Only problem is, it's in the middle of nowhere! A long walk to well stocked supermarket, a little pricey but the only option. No other bar or restaurant in walking distance so hiring a car here is essential to get around, although bus stop is close by and buses are regular. I would definitely stay here again, loved this place and Gozo itself ❤️

Villaġġ Tal-Fanal in Għasri provides a picturesque setting for events like the Kite Festival, offering visitors a memorable experience in one of Gozo’s most scenic locations. Set on Lighthouse Street, this charming village-style complex, with its traditional Maltese architecture and stunning views, serves as a beautiful backdrop for the colorful celebration of kites against the clear, open sky.
During the Kite Festival, the atmosphere at Villaġġ Tal-Fanal is vibrant and family-friendly, with kites of all shapes, sizes, and colors filling the air. The festival brings together locals and tourists, creating a joyful community atmosphere with activities and displays that entertain all ages. The spacious grounds allow plenty of room for kite flying, while the views of Gozo’s rolling countryside and coastline make it an ideal spot for photography and relaxation.
The organization of the event is excellent, with food stalls and amenities nearby, making it easy for visitors to spend a full day enjoying the festivities. Villaġġ Tal-Fanal’s tranquil, scenic setting and the Kite Festival’s lively energy create a delightful contrast, making it a perfect event for anyone looking to experience local culture, creativity, and the beauty of Gozo’s landscape.

Upkeep and cleanliness is very good. Pool is large and very clean too. So fresh here that we only use ceiling fans to cool down, even though air-conditioning is available. Anywhere else would be boiling hot and need an a/c 24/7.
Wifi access is great!
