We recently stayed at Sofitel The Palm and had a wonderful experience overall. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with stunning surroundings, excellent facilities, and a relaxing atmosphere that makes it perfect for families and couples alike. The rooms were comfortable and well maintained, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food quality throughout our stay was excellent. The beach and pool areas were particularly impressive, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there.
There were only two aspects that we felt could be improved. Firstly, as we were traveling with a baby, we were surprised that the hotel did not provide baby floats for use in the pool. When we asked, we were directed to purchase one from the hotel shop instead. For a family-friendly resort of this standard, it would have been a thoughtful touch to offer basic baby pool equipment for guests.
Secondly, we found it unreasonable that water was charged separately during the dinner buffet. Given the premium pricing of the buffet and the overall luxury experience, complimentary water should be included as a standard offering.
Despite these minor disappointments, we had a fantastic stay and would happily recommend Sofitel The Palm to others. With a few small improvements, the guest experience could be even better.

I had an outstanding dining experience at Manava Restaurant. The food was exceptional, but the highlight of the meal was definitely the brisket.
What made the experience even better was the fantastic service. Asif and Umesh went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our visit. They were attentive, friendly, professional, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests had a great experience.
The combination of amazing food and exceptional hospitality made this a truly memorable meal. I highly recommend Manava Restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food, especially the brisket, along with service that sets a high standard. I will definitely be returning!

Rachel was amazing, very skilled, professional, and attentive throughout the entire session. She made me feel comfortable and ensured everything was perfect. I highly recommend this spa, and I will definitely be coming back. Thank you, Rachel, for the outstanding service! 😊✨

At Sofitel Dubai The Palm, there is definite scope for improvement in several areas expected from a 5-star property.
The mattress quality was not very comfortable and affected overall sleep quality.
Despite having three pools, there is no dedicated kids’ pool — the existing pools are either too deep or too shallow for children to enjoy safely and comfortably.
The kids’ club could be significantly enhanced, especially for summer stays when children spend more time indoors. Adding arcade games, pool tables, foosball, and similar indoor activities, in addition to the existing PlayStation setup, would greatly improve the experience.
The à la carte restaurant menus could also be more diverse and distinct. Currently, the offerings feel quite repetitive across different restaurants, which is not ideal for a 5-star resort experience.
The most disappointing part was being charged even for plain drinking water during dinner buffet despite spending thousands of dirhams on a half-board stay. Fortunately water and juices were complimentary during breakfast buffet on both days and there was water dispenser in the room instead of standard bottled water. People travelling with kids would inevitably need water during their buffet.
We have visited many 5-star hotels across different countries and came all the way from Abu Dhabi expecting better hospitality. Charging separately for basic drinking water after spending so much money feels unnecessarily cheap and disappointing. Charging for juices or soft drinks is understandable — but plain water is a basic necessity, not a luxury.

Having visited Dubai numerous times as a family with teenage children and stayed in three other hotels on the Palm, we feel that this is a beautiful hotel that offers a relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful pool and private beach area, and a very high standard of hospitality. We are staying in a two bedroom apartment which is absolutely huge! It has a great selection of restaurants and the food is excellent. What really stands out is the staff, who have consistently been very attentive. Particular thanks to Arun, who works in the pool area - always providing a fabulous service! Would highly recommend this hotel.
