It is an amazing place to have a break and enjoy with the family!
The staff of the hotel is the real asset to the place. Everyone, was extremely polite and attentive.
The quality of breakfast and dinner is commendable and the willingness of the staff to make your breakfast and dinner a memorable experience was wonderful!
A couple of suggestions to make the experience even better
1) I understand that the customers were able to enjoy the Moroccan tea. It would be great if the customers can enjoy the Moroccan coffee experience as well! For example Nous Nous
2) The safe lockers in the room should not be placed above the refrigerator as the heat from the refrigerator was causing the contents of the safe locker to heat up

Beautiful hotel and grounds, lovely large swimming pool with a private beach area. The rooms are spacious and clean, we had a balcony however I wish the balcony had railings and not a concrete wall as it’s nice to look out whilst sitting down. The breakfast was high quality food and there was a lot of variety and different food stations. I was healthy after every meal. The staff were lovely, however there were a few hiccups which could be improved but I explained the reception and she advised she would pass on my feedback. There is free underground parking which is perfect if you have a car as it’s secure during the evenings. Without a car I think I would have felt a little bit out of the place. This hotel is very luxurious and you feel relaxed and at peace at all times.

I just want to say a massive thank you to all staff - everyone was so lovely and attentive, which was really special to me as a solo traveller.
I felt very welcomed even though I wasn't staying at the hotel.
I was there every night for all three nights I spent in Agadir and 2 days (out of 4) at the swimming pool with the day pass.
Massive thanks to Medha (night shift), Mehdi (night shift), Medhi (day shift), Mouhcine (day shift) and of course every single staff I spoke with from the security and concierge to the reception, from the waiters and bartenders to the managers, everyone's service was 10/10.
I had a light chat with most of the staff, and I can honestly say you're all lovely people! You made my stay in Agadir very special, and thank you, I will be back.
I can not recommend this place more ❤️
For the day pass for the swimming pool:
They had the capacity and let me use the facilities without any issues both times I enquired. The pass includes lunch (savoury either pizza, pasta, or a sandwich and a dessert), but you are welcome to order anything you like from the regular menu. The hotel is located just a minute from the beach as well where you can swim should the weather allow it. Views of the hill and the castle.
In the evening they have live music which is great. Drinks are very nice, and the ambience is great. You will see locals in the evening as well.
Everyone goes above and beyond to give you the best service. Thank you 😁
Beautiful hotel!

We had a very nice stay at Sofitel Agadir Royal Bay. The hotel is beautiful and the pool area was a highlight for us – very relaxing and enjoyable.
The staff were all lovely, especially Miss Halima from housekeeping. She was extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay.
The rooms feel a bit outdated, and we experienced some water leakage from the shower, but overall the experience was still great. The beauty of the hotel and the friendliness of the staff made up for it. We’d be happy to return!

A Very Disappointing Experience from Start to Finish
Unfortunately, our stay at this hotel was stressful and disappointing from check-in to check-out. What should have been a relaxing experience turned into a series of frustrating events, with very little effort from the staff to improve the situation.
The check-in process alone took over an hour, during which we had to ask multiple times when we would be able to access our room—without ever receiving a clear answer. Surprisingly, this delay did not seem to be caused by a lack of staff, as there were at least 7–8 employees present at the reception, seemingly uncoordinated.
When we finally got to our room, we found it to be old and clearly unrenovated. Soon after unpacking, we discovered that the toilet was not functioning. We reported it immediately and decided to go to the pool to give the hotel time to resolve the issue.
Three hours later, we returned only to find the toilet still broken. While it was clear someone had entered the room, there was no message or update from the staff. We packed up again and went to the reception to request a room change.
What followed was another disorganized and frustrating hour. Three employees struggled to manage the situation, and the two alternative rooms we were shown were also outdated—and had malfunctioning toilets as well. The overall handling lacked urgency and basic guest service standards. All we wanted was a working room to shower and get to dinner.
After pointing out the unacceptable state of the situation and requesting proper compensation, we were finally moved to a room that was at least functional. However, a room change or room upgrade in this case after three faulty rooms for a one-night stay does not count as fair compensation. No further efforts were made to make up for our extremely poor experience.
Dinner was average at best. Check-out the next morning was again slow and disorganized—they couldn't locate our payment, which had been made the previous day.
When we provided our final feedback and expressed our disappointment, it was met with indifference. As professionals working in the hospitality industry ourselves, we were shocked by the lack of basic guest service, care, and operational standards.
We certainly will not return or recommend this hotel, and we hope that someone in a responsible position will follow up on these serious service failures. This is not the standard guests should expect at a vacation resort.
