First the pros:
Very nice hotel overall, the staff are very friendly. There is an on-site shop open 24 hours a day selling convenience supplies such as snacks (including Schar gluten free), fizzy drinks, Starbucks and alcohol - things that are appealing to international visitors.
The staff are more often than not very helpful and accommodating.
After multiple requests for hypoallergic bedding they were able to bring a non-feather duvet and pillows.
Despite the location, there is a frequent shuttle bus down to the private beach and a daily service to the city. The local town is also easily within walking distance from the beach.
The rooms are a decent size with good amenities, a very good power shower, a decent hairdryer, a kettle, fridge and cozy lighting and lamps. Free water is also provided in the rooms.
The spa and sauna area needs to be booked in advance but is absolutely worth having the place to yourself for 40 minutes for total relaxation.
Excellent breakfast room, with breakfast options including a comprehensive selection on the gluten-free variety: pancakes, gluten-free bread and cereal, fruit and hot food, salads, chocolate spread, almond spread, yoghurt, eggs, and freshly cooked omelettes. The breakfast team on the whole are absolutely excellent and provide wonderful service.
There is a cold pool and a heated pool- the pool area is lovely, the pool bar is great for snacks and light meals during the day, including a number of gluten-free options, burgers, salads and pizzas.
The cons:
The beds are very firm, but not lumpy and could probably benefit from a thin memory form topper. We still got good nights sleep over three nights.
During breakfast, the birds enter the room through an open door, and pick up the breadcrumbs on the tables. The staff don't seem to mind this, but I was particularly spooked, and would much prefer that the breakfast door is closed to stop the birds coming in. I also found it very unhygienic that they were standing on some of the tables.
We also weren't particularly impressed by the food in the restaurant on the evening.

A truly special stay at Hyatt Place Taghazout Bay
Our stay at Hyatt Place was an absolute delight from start to finish. The property itself is stunning, perched between the desert and the sea, with breathtaking views, peaceful grounds, and that perfect Moroccan balance of calm and warmth.
A special mention goes to Brahim (Ibrahim) at the travel desk, whose attention to detail turned our days here into seamless adventures. Every excursion he organised was beautifully thought out and perfectly timed. We also had the pleasure of travelling with our driver, Allarabi, who was unfailingly kind, patient, and full of local insight, the sort of person who quietly makes your trip extraordinary without ever drawing attention to it.
I’m honestly blown away by the kindness and hospitality of everyone I met here. There’s a genuine warmth that stays with you long after you leave. Add to that the sheer beauty of this stretch of desert and coastline, and you’ve got a place that feels effortlessly special.
Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We had the most wonderful stay at this hotel and can’t praise it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcome—attentive, kind, and effortlessly professional throughout. Every detail of the facilities was immaculate, thoughtfully designed, and deeply comfortable, creating a perfect balance of elegance and ease.
The food was a particular highlight: beautifully presented, full of flavour, and consistently delicious. Whether it was breakfast or dinner, each meal felt like a treat.
It’s rare to find a place that gets everything so right, and this hotel truly did. We’ll most certainly be returning next year—and already looking forward to it.

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay.
The hotel itself is beautiful and elegant, with an amazing team of staff who were always kind, professional, and ready to help. Our housekeeper, Latifa, deserves a special mention – she was incredibly friendly and did a fantastic job keeping our room spotless. We even had the carpet washed during our stay, which left everything smelling so fresh.
The amenities were excellent, with high-quality Nuxe products provided in the bathroom, which was a lovely touch. Every evening we enjoyed breathtaking views of the sunset – honestly, I have never seen such a stunning sunset before.
Although the hotel does not have direct access to the sea, they offered private transport to their beach every 30 minutes, which worked out perfectly.
Overall, we had a wonderful time and would not hesitate to come back. We will definitely visit you again ❤️

A perfect location for a relaxing vacation by the ocean. The hotel has 2 large pools with many cabanas, loungers, and seating spread around. The poolside service provided by the staff is excellent. It is the perfect spot to watch the evening sunset overlooking the bay and the hotels below. Will definitely return on our next trip to Morocco!
