I have never in my life witnessed such unprofessional behaviour from a hotel owner. We are sitting at Mythos Palace Resort beach, I saw an elderly staff member working hard to serve guests, tidy sunbeds and prepare coffees. He was doing his best under pressure.
Then the owner appeared and, in front of all guests, began shouting at him, calling him names and humiliating him publicly. It was deeply uncomfortable to watch. The issue was not the service or the staff — it was the shocking lack of respect shown by the very person who should be setting an example of leadership.
No guest wants to sit on a beach holiday and witness an employee being bullied. It ruins the atmosphere and reflects extremely poorly on the establishment. Respect for staff is the foundation of good hospitality. Without it, no amount of luxury or facilities can compensate.
The staff deserve appreciation, not abuse. Until the management culture changes, this resort will never deserve the reputation it seems to aspire to.

We made the mistake of not doing our research. This is a large hotel which lacks any kind of 'personality'. It is just a large machine which processes holidaymakers. I am sure it is great for a lot of people but not for us.
The main restaurant is basically a large canteen where there is a dress code which practically everybody takes no notice of.....if you have a dress code enforce it!
The fish restaurant down the road us great so use that.
The food is average and the same pretty much every day. The beds, at least ours was like trying to sleep on a slab of concrete.
The beach bar really needs to do something about the music. It is the same monotonous euro trash which seems to be on a loop so you hear the same stuff over and over again!!!!
On the calls side the staff are very friendly.
Not for us but I am sure great for some

The hotel is a very nice hotel and has been well thought out to sit nicely in the hills. It is located out the way and there is not much within walking distance of the hotel. You need to either hire a vehicle or be prepared for taxi journeys. Also to note because of the location this hotel is not for the faint hearted. Whilst there is electric buggies the hilly location like most of Corfu means there is an uphill walk for breakfast and lunch. A few things to complain about is the drinks service. You do not get drinks at a rate that suits you, you get them at a rate that suits the service staff and that’s slow. Don’t go if you expect an all inclusive that’s non stop drink, not going to happen. Also water you get one bottle at arrival after that be prepared to buy any other water for your room you require. Oh then there’s the toilets or the lack there off. Toilets could be better they are always clean just not enough around the hotel. All in all we did have a good holiday and I don’t want to sound too negative about this resort as the staff were nice but a few things could be improved. They try so hard to give a five star service but miss the things that are just normal customer service.

At first, I was hesitant about visiting this place due to some of the online reviews.
Now that I’ve been, here’s my honest take:
The hotel itself is in a beautiful location. The rooms are very clean and well-maintained. The housekeeping staff does a fantastic job—special thanks to Poppy, who looked after us and was absolutely amazing.
Now, for the things we weren’t happy with:
The bed was incredibly hard—unlike anything I’ve ever slept on. Thankfully, Poppy helped fix this by providing a thick mattress topper, which made a big difference.
As for the alcohol, all drinks included in the all-inclusive package were local brands, and unfortunately, none suited our taste.
There was no bottled water available at the beach, which was disappointing, especially in the intense heat.
No fresh fruit juice was offered—only juice from cartons.
The food was all about quantity over quality. Sadly, it didn’t meet our expectations, and we ended up dining out for four of the seven nights we stayed.
This hotel has so much potential to be amazing, but unfortunately, the food and drink offerings really let it down.

A lovely hotel with a very welcoming atmosphere. We arrived at 3am and were pleasantly surprised when the reception staff provided food to take to our room — a thoughtful touch that really set the tone.
The room itself was lovely, though I’ve marked down due to a broken bed and a broken shower. The only other downside was that the beach towels felt quite old and worn.
The buffet was as expected — nothing spectacular, but perfectly fine. The grounds and pools were well maintained and spotlessly clean, and the private beach was a highlight, with a hut serving cold drinks included in the package.
Overall, this is a good place to stay. I would rate it as 4★ accommodation with 5★ service.
