We stayed at Kontokali Bay Hotel from Monday, 11th August 2025 to 21st August 2025 as a family of four, with children aged 9 and 13.
As a 62-year-old businessman with over 44 years of travel experience across six continents, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, from 1-star to 5-star deluxe. I can confidently say that Kontokali Bay ranks among my top three hotels worldwide.
What truly sets this hotel apart is its staff. Their commitment to genuine, attentive, and caring service is exceptional. From the hotel attendants who were always ready to assist, to the front desk team who greeted us warmly and clearly explained the hotel facilities, every interaction was a pleasure.
The housemaids were exceptionally accommodating and attentive, always smiling and going out of their way to assist and ensure all our needs were met. The bar and restaurant staff — both at the sea-level and first-floor venues — were consistently courteous and obliging, even on the busiest evenings.
It is clear that the entire team is dedicated and hardworking, consistently delivering the highest standard of service. It’s no surprise that so many guests return year after year — one couple we met has been coming for 18 years!
Lastly, Corfu itself is a unique island, radiating warmth, hospitality, and genuine care for visitors — truly a gem to visit.

Honestly this hotel saved our holiday. We moved here after a disaster of another hotel in Corfu. As soon as we step foot here we knew we made the right decision to move hotels. Both of us and our little one felt relaxed, welcomed and sheer delight.
All staff members are friendly and knowledgeable. They treated all of us, especially our little boy so well and made us feel special.
Our private pool, ocean view room was stunning. The small touches of a beach bag and beauty bag was a great touch. And the products were very good.
Food was very good, the buffet always made sure it was a little different every night which goes along way as some buffet restaurants do put out the same food all the time.
Would highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. It is a wonderful resort with plenty of free beach chairs with f&b service, nice pool area with chairs usually available. Fantastic breakfast spread with eggs to order. Evening entertainment most nights. Solid but overpriced food, rooms are good sized with comfortable beds, great housekeeping.

The best hotel I've ever stayed in! I've stayed perhaps in 50 hotels across 15 countries. This place really defines for me what a 5 star experience looks like.
The family room was perfect - quiet, large, with nice view. The hotel has a very nice and clean private beach which never got too crowded (we visited in June). The views from the beach and the pool are amazing - beautiful mountains and clear blue sea. Breakfast was amazing. The hotel is very family friendly - even has a "mini club" with lots of nice toys, shade and a baby pool.
The staff were amazing and super helpful - any time we asked for anything it got sorted literally within minutes. Before our arrival, every message I sent on booking.com got a helpful reply within about 24h. They booked a transport from the airport for us - the taxi owner Maria was super reliable, great to talk to, and we booked a few more trips with her during our stay.
Yes, it's not a cheap hotel but you are getting an incredible experience. Tip: We booked breakfast only and it was actually a good idea. There are 2-3 great local restaurants in 10 min walking distance from the hotel. And when we wanted lunch at the hotel, you can always simply pay for the lunch there. So we just had more freedom to eat whenever we felt like every day this way.
In short, beautiful and clean, well located, amazing staff, amazing food, mini club for young children, great for a family with young kids. But pretty sure it would be great for a couple, too.
