It was great to revisit having stayed over 30 years ago. Stayed for a week with my family (partner and 19month old) over my birthday and was left a nice bottle of fizz. Location is fantastic for the beach and restaurants. Is next to a busy main road but not an issue overall. Staff were attentive and very friendly, and hotel clean and tidy. Thanks!

Great stay here as a family of 3. Our toddler loved it. Staff are super friendly. Food is great and rooms are clean. Room was fairly small, but I believe there are bigger should you choose. Kids pool is perfect. Will come again!

Overall a fantastic stay for my sister's 40th family celebration. The rooms are lovely and clean, food selection is good and facilities are fab but the evening bar staff are god awful. I am writing this review on the last evening of our stay after the rudest service I have ever received. Staff member Tofol was so incredibly rude - such a let down for the hotel. It seems from other reviews it's a reoccurring issue.

First of all, I would truly like to give this hotel a full five-star rating. Unfortunately, as a fully qualified lawyer and advocate of the rule of law, I cannot do so – more on that below.
The hotel is undoubtedly one of the best four-star establishments I have stayed at in Spain.
The food selection at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. At breakfast, there was a wide variety of pastries and muesli. The usher was particularly friendly and attentive to detail. Evening drinks were reasonably priced, and the range of snacks was impressive. I would especially like to commend the salad bar and dessert section.
Our room was always clean. Some reviews point out that cleanliness was inconsistent, but we did not experience that. We were fortunate to have a Ukrainian cleaning lady each day who was exceptionally thorough and kind. In my experience, workers from Eastern Europe tend to approach such tasks with great diligence. She was the embodiment of friendliness – please make sure to keep her on staff.
The two young receptionists were always very polite and helpful as well.
Unfortunately, the on-site TUI representative was extremely unfriendly and, in my opinion, unworthy of representing the company. When it became clear that our return flight would be significantly delayed, we were curtly advised to take a taxi – at our own expense (around 90 euros). To be clear, this has nothing to do with the hotel itself, but is worth mentioning. Just don’t book with TUI to avoid this lady.
Now to the real issue: During our stay in Mallorca, a gathering of the Hells Angels took place on the island. While many other hotels refused to accommodate these individuals, the BQ Azul had no such reservations. The members wore their insignia openly at all times, both during meals and in common areas. One individual even made a tasteless reference to the murder of a police officer in Rhineland-Pfalz about a decade ago.
Disturbingly, the hotel seemed to show favoritism toward these guests. They were given a large reserved table at breakfast and appeared to receive preferential treatment. While other guests had to wait to be seated during peak times, the members did not. Similarly, while smoking was prohibited at the pool for most guests, this rule did not seem to apply to them.
The BQ Azul in Alcudia advertises itself as a family-friendly hotel. Regrettably, that was not our experience. The atmosphere felt more like a crossover between a family hotel and a clubhouse for dubious activity – with an unfortunate lean toward the latter.

Great hotel, stayed for 4 nights rooms are nice and airy, breakfast buffet was excellent, you can always get a sunbed around the pool and the bar and snack bar were good and reasonably priced
