We stayed here as an international sports team for the world championships in Cancun.
Thank you to Alfredo, Grecia, Axel and Angel for their help. We also had a warm greeting at the buffet, helping sort out something at the reception or planning activities for our team.
Also thank you Claudia, Gustavo, Gretel, Laura with all their help with our multiple check-in’s with our large team.
A great location with the pool and beach, always a selection of great fresh food. Would recommend to anyone wanting a great holiday in Cancun

Stayed here for a week with Family. 7 of us total, 3 came from Scotland & 4 came from Canada.
All of the Hotel Staff were welcoming and friendly at all times.
Food was ok, i feel like they could have done better catering to westerners a little better and having Bacon in the mornings available right away instead of having to ask for it every morning. I understand that 95% of the Hotels guests are people of Mexico looking for a break from their day to day, but i do feel that 99% of the food was catered around that. Yes ok, they had burgers and Hotdogs, but we cant eat that everyday, that was really our only buffett options and that was lunch time, dinner was a totally different experience.
The Italian wasnt great but the Mexican Restaurant was Amazing.
The pool wasnt up kept very well, there was always stuff floating in the pool. Security were focused more on people smoking a cigarette next to a garbage can out the way of people than people having sex in the pool with children still using the pool.
Bar Staff were great, they always remembered peoples drinks and adapted to some weird requests the best they could.
The room cleaning and maintenance was good but not great. Cleaning staff did not check the balcony, so a puddle was left from the rainfall the night before which caused my wife to slip and fall and hurt herself after the cleaning staff has been to the room.
The lifeguard at night was great, my mother was covered in bug bites and the lifeguard helped clean them and made sure she was ok.
We had lots of fun here and would come back to this Hotel.
My biggest thing is the food, its not that the food was bad, it was just lacking in some areas for non mexican people and more training for kitchen staff on how to properly melt cheese onto a burger with steam and a pot lid and not putting the cheese on the flat top its self and scraping the cheese on top of the burger.

Great Stay in a Perfect Location!
We had a wonderful time at this all-inclusive resort in Cancun! The location couldn’t be better — right on a beautiful stretch of beach with amazing ocean views from our room. Waking up to the sound of the waves every morning was truly relaxing.
The staff were absolutely fantastic — always friendly, helpful, and ready to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warm hospitality really made our stay special. Tony@Mexican linda restaurant was superb. Grace took us for kayak tour, she was awesome too. Brandon is the life of this resort, he is just too sweet and has an amazing smile. Magic show / live music/ classes were all interesting!!
There were plenty of fun activities throughout the day, from beach games to live entertainment in the evenings, so there was always something to do. The food was decent overall — not exceptional, but good enough with a nice variety to choose from.
Overall, it’s a great place to unwind, enjoy the beach, and soak up Cancun’s beauty. We’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing all-inclusive vacation with great service and unbeatable views!

I have a few things that I think the hotel needs to improve. We have been to many all-inclusive hotels, and we think your Cancun Occidental needs to be better. First of all, the hotel did not have a walk-up pool bar, making the lobby hotel bar as the only option. There was not enough workers in the pool area to serve us so we would have to exit the pool and go to a bar, which with only two people serving in bar is not enough. We were extremely disappointed with not have the option of the restaurants at night because our stay was only 3 nights. We have never had this happen in any other all-inclusive. The nights we stay have never matter. The entertainment was very limited during the day to keep guests entertained, and at night even worse because after the show at 10pm there is nothing else in the hotel with music and the lobby bar closing at 11pm is ridiculous. We were only given the option to pay to go to Coco Bongo. The hotel should have a club. The bar in the lobby had no music , very boring. The option of the beach is terrible. Not only is it too small of an area, we also had the worry of all the warnings that alligators could be in the water since it connects to the lagoon. Would also like to mention that the food quality in the buffet should be improved, especially since you limit the food options to those who go for a short stay. The lobby should have more fans because we were extremely hot while waiting in the long lines and there was no ventilation to make it bearable. I usually read the expedia reviews and saw positive reviews and that is why we visited your property but I really wish previous guest would have mentioned all the things that we experienced which was negative.

Brandon, Axel and Henri were so much fun to do activities with! They are so nice and friendly and always so energetic which made it really fun!
Brandon’s classes are so so fun!!!!
Ivonne and Grecia were amazing too and super willing to help with everything we needed!!
The DJ at the pool plays really good music and makes pool time super enjoyable!
The Albatros (buffet) was great! Food for everyone and all the waiters/waitresses are very attentive. Everyone makes you feel extremely welcome and comfortable.
Overall the resort is great
The only downside are the rooms which are outdated and need some work.
