Overall, it's a good hotel. Its most notable features are its location, close to the airport and the port to Isla Mujeres. Another highlight is the staff; everyone provides excellent service, from the receptionists and waiters to the recreation staff, the bartenders, and the housekeeping. The buffet food is varied and tasty, especially on special evenings. The gym is well-equipped with machines and has ample space. On the downside, some areas show their age, and the worst part was the cleanliness of the bathroom in our room (see pictures). It was quite unpleasant to be in a bathroom that demonstrated such poor hygiene.

Had a blast with all of the staff here! Daniel and Jazmin entertained their hearts out! Natalia and Sandra always smiling while taking care of everyone at the beach. Alex and Enrique are the best bartenders a gal could ask for, thank you gentlemen! And then lastly, Alfredo went above and beyond with his kind hearted gestures in the restaurant. He’s a true gentleman and I thank him dearly and I will miss him

Like other reviews the check in process is terrible you will be waiting a good hour to check in. Thank goodness we weren’t there in the height of summer as if it was any warmer it wouldn’t be comfortable as there was no air conditioning. They could definitely do with investing in better check in technology as everything is paper based and very laborious.
Room is spacious. It is a little dated but has everything you need. Extremely comfortable large bed. Safe, ironing board and hairdryer (ours was broken but I didn’t mind my hair would dry in the sun).
The first few days the staff were absolutely terrible. ESPECIALLY the staff at the help desk. The ones booking the dinners and organising the day trips. Do NOT book trips through them. Use Viator and other companies prior to your stay. They were rude, obnoxious and just awful. I cannot stress this enough - AWFUL!
However the special staff that made our trip so much better and the reason for any stars at all were Vanilay and Serigio in the Mexican restaurant. And also Jhoan. Thank you for making our trip 🙏
I think the beach is a great size. The pool is also so lovely and incredibly clean. They were sorting the filters every morning!
The food was fine. We stayed for 5 nights and honestly we were getting tired of the food by the end of the trip (buffet). We ate in the Mexican restaurant and Italian. As a European who has been to Italy many times, I wouldn’t recommend. I think they could definitely do better and don’t do Italian food any justice.
Other hotels are nearer fun areas. This hotel doesn’t have much around it. There is more to do further east of the hotel zone.
At the end of the day you get what you pay for. I would have given 4 stars in total if the staff mentioned weren’t so rude. The staff at the help desk and some of the servers would be the reason I recommended finding somewhere else to stay.

This is our second time here. My family and I saw many improvements in service, cleanliness, and variety of food. The food was delicious everywhere. Our favorite was the buffet. I asked the staff to arrange a little surprise for my wife and daughter for their birthdays, and they exceeded my expectations. Special thanks to "Captain Mario," Alfredo, Luis, and others. We were very happy there and felt their warm Mexican welcome every morning! We arrived at 8:30 AM and were supposed to check in at 4 PM. The staff was very nice to us, letting us check in pretty much right away. I kindly asked them to provide at least one room on the first floor for my mother, who has a walking disability, and they managed to find both rooms for us. There was no extra charge for early check-in or room choice. Highly appreciated. Everything deserves 5 stars. The only thing I didn't like was that the beach is rather small, but I didn't see how they could improve it; the location allowed them only so much, but we still liked it. The jet ski rental guys were fixing their rigs almost every day, causing a smell of gas and exhaust.

Absolutely loved having a family vacation at this resort! Staff was incredible. Our waiters, Alfredo Gil and Alberto Delfin, were particularly exceptional to accommodating our needs. The ladies instructing morning stretch class on the beach were also wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed the nightly live music at the piano in the lobby.
A few things to know before hand:
•The resort offers high chairs at the restaurants for babies as well as cribs to use during your stay *if they are available*
•Reservations are required for dinner at the restaurants (buffet requires no reservations)
•There are several activities throughout the day
•There are nightly shows starting around 9pm that can be quite loud if you are an early to bed person
