We stayed with the premium package. The poolside service at the premium pool was not great this year compared to 4 years ago when Henri waited on us. We were only waited on poolside a couple times, until we left the premium pool and went to the main pool with the swim up bar and went were waited on consistently by a nice lady named Dana.
The food on the resort is very mid, nothing spectacular. Having a buffet is nice, the food at the flat top in the back of the buffet is very good. We had the Italian restaurant experience and it was only okay. If you want great Mexican food, go across the street to iguanas. Amazing service, very good tacos, quesadillas, fajitas, etc.
We celebrated a birthday here this week and Arbey went above and beyond to make it a special night for our birthday girl and even went and bought a cake with his own time and money. We remember Arbey from our first time here, and he is such a bright person and friendly face. We can’t wait to see him again. He is also a very great entertainer and has amazing energy.
The over all stay is amazing. The beach is beautiful. The rooms are clean and neat and every employee I encountered is friendly and happy.

We arrived from a cruise port having bought a day pass. It was a short taxi ride and well worth it! Andrea and Arbey were phenomenal hosts. Andrea introduced herself when we checked in. When she learned that it was a celebration of our anniversary they helped us celebrate. Allegro has a beautiful beach and the water is gorgeous. The bartenders are accommodating and the food plentiful. Great vibe!! Can’t recommend enough!

We are longtime fans of the Barcelo brand, but Allegro Cozumel deserves an honest review of its own. Unfortunately, the room experience was a major disappointment. Our room, 4111, was in very poor condition and clearly outdated. On the very first day we had two water leaks coming from the ceiling, one of them inside the closet, which soaked our luggage and clothes. This completely ruined the start of our stay and is simply unacceptable at this level.
That said, what truly saves this hotel is the people. The service is one of the best you will find. The staff works incredibly hard, always greets you with a smile, and genuinely does their best to help. Their attitude and warmth make a real difference and deserve recognition. The location is also a huge plus, right in front of some of the most important reefs in the area, which is perfect if you come to Cozumel to dive or snorkel.
Sadly, the hotel feels old overall, and the limited food options take away from the experience. With better maintenance and more dining variety, this place could be much better. Because of the serious room issues, but also because of the excellent staff and unbeatable location, I am giving this hotel three stars.

The resort is lovely. Clean and enough to keep you busy when not diving. The beach area is great and the service is good.
The rooms close to the disco can be noisy at night from 9-11.
The food is only tolerable. There is a large variety but it was always cold. The only way to get a hot meal was to get the food being cooked on the grill. The fruit / cheese plates were fine. The Oriental restaurant was great. It is not obvious but you only get 3 reservations per 10 day stay. The Mexican and Italian restaurants were awful. We left and ate at the buffet.

Wonderful resort with excellent service, plenty of activities and great people. Diego is great. Very engaging and puts on great activities!! The activity pool is the place to be and Arbi is also really fun. The guitarist and sports bar was a great place to meet others. And last but not least was the beach!!! Absolutely amazing. Other reviews talk about the food but that’s not unusual with inclusive resorts. We found something the eat every meal that was really good!
