Great place to chill. We went during rainy season and beach was clean. Great staff. A la carte asian dinner was amazing experience. Beach is perfect. Water sports fun. Drinks were really good. Food was good and always available. The only thing is the entertainment is a bit lacking especially during the week after 7pm there is nothing to do, disco is mostly for older people like karaoke etc, no cool shows. Front desk could move a bit faster we had to wait long time everytime.

You get what you pay for here -
First, the good:
1. Excellent air conditioning
2. Rooms were comfortable and clean
3. Resort is handicapped accessible and wheelchair friendly
4. Pools, bars, beach are all as advertised. Beach in particular was clean with beautiful clear water and easy to access
Could improve on:
1. Check in experience - took almost three hours to get our group of eight checked in
2. Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They weren't outright rude but it was clear they did not care much about our comfort or helping us to solve problems
3. Food - pretty bad. The restaurants with reservations were booked up on 3 out of our 4 nights, which is disappointing because the one time we ate there it was much better than the buffet.

During our six-day stay, housekeeping skipped our room on one of the days, which was disappointing, as daily cleaning is a basic service expected at a hotel of this level.
As for the food, the buffet does not offer a wide variety of options, but the dishes available were flavorful and of acceptable quality, including the drinks. While the selection could be expanded, what is offered meets a reasonable standard.
The beach location is excellent, with easy and convenient access both from the rooms and other common areas. It was very comfortable to enjoy the beach without long walks or logistical challenges.
It’s worth mentioning that as national tourists, we have noticed on past visits a difference in the level of service between international and local guests. However, this time we did feel welcomed and treated warmly, which we truly appreciate. That said, there is still a noticeable preference in attention and service for international visitors.
The nightly entertainment has improved and now feels more varied and enjoyable. However, the instructions and hosting in English are quite limited, and we recommend hiring staff with stronger English-language skills, especially considering the large number of international guests.
In summary, the hotel provides a good overall experience, with strengths in food flavor, location, and accessibility. Still, it has key areas to work on, particularly daily room maintenance and ensuring equal, high-quality service for all guests, regardless of their origin.

Upon check in, the front desk staff is okay. Not the friendliest, and don’t even think of checking in a minute early. I tried to check in 3 minutes early and they told me to come back.
The restaurant staff and activities directors were wonderful! The beach was incredible. That’s where the positives end.
The food was terrible. Everything was just “warm.” We’d hoped that eating at the al a carte restaurant would be better. It wasn’t. If you’re looking to lose a lot of weight quickly, I’d highly recommend the seafood at the Italian restaurant. Just started Cipro today after losing 10 pounds in 4 days thanks to the E. coli that’s complimentary with the seafood.
Please please do not book any activities through Ariel in the lobby. It was a complete bait and switch. We are traveling with teenagers and specified that we wanted a day at a beach club that had water trampolines and a nice pool. He showed us great pictures of the place he was supposedly booking us at. Upon arrival at Island Mia Beach Club, it was 90 meters of seaweed covered beach that required water shoes due to all of the rocks, and the pool was about half the size of the one in my backyard. When I spoke to Ariel afterwards, he apologized and offered 20% off a future purchase.
Spend the extra money and stay somewhere nicer. It’s not worth the wasted money and now doctor bills to stay at the Allegro.

Great trip-best 4 day getaway with my daughter for her 21st birthday! Great weather, great staff. Loved it! Diego Marin-wow, what can I say-brought such energy every day. He put a smile on my face every day! Loved the taco lunch activity-delicious!
