We stayed at Cesar Thalasso Djerba during the last week of August (4 people) and we can truly recommend this place! The bungalow-style houses have a wonderful atmosphere, surrounded by lots of beautiful greenery and charming mosaic paths. The whole area is very well-kept and clean – both the gardeners and housekeeping staff do an amazing job and are also incredibly kind and friendly.
The rooms are nice and comfortable, although the bathrooms are a bit old and dark. On the other hand, the food was absolutely delicious and very diverse – everyone can easily find something for themselves. Special thanks to the chefs, and especially to Mohamed, who makes the most delicious pizzas and the best calzone we’ve ever had, which he kindly prepared for us “extra.” Mohamed was also extremely kind and welcoming, which made our meals even more enjoyable.
During the first days, we also met an exceptional waiter, Imet, who welcomed us with care. He is by far the most professional waiter we have ever met – thank you, Imet! Big thanks also go to all the bartenders, especially our favorite one at the bar next to Karim’s shop – you can see how much he enjoys his job, and his cocktails were simply the best.
Speaking of Karim – make sure to visit his souvenir shop at the hotel! His prices are very good, the quality of the souvenirs is excellent, and Karim himself is such a wonderful person. We were honestly sad to leave him behind.
We also want to thank lifeguard Ourabi for keeping everyone safe at the pool and for his positive energy and smile.
The hotel offers several swimming pools, and the beach is only about a 5-minute walk away with clean, clear sea water. While Cesar Thalasso itself doesn’t offer animation, it belongs to the same chain as Aqua Resort Djerba, where guests have free access to evening shows – including dance performances for children and adults, fire shows, bingo nights, and even a fantastic theatre. The animators and dancers there are amazing, full of energy, and make the evenings unforgettable.
Overall, the entire staff made our stay truly memorable. We would definitely love to come back – and we already miss this place from Poland! Highly recommend!

On the whole I was very happy with my stay. Food was good and staff were largely friendly and helpful with the odd exception. The room was very spacious but dated. The TV didnt have english channels and had poor reception and was very old 720p. I could connect my xbox to it via hdmi however the wifi was not stable or fast enough to stream video or game online. Aircon was very powerful but loud. There was heavy noise from the hotel next door on most nights 10pm-12pm making sleep impossible due to the bass vibrations which defeat any earplugs. Bed itself was hard, which I prefer. Outside the hotel there is nothing anywhere for tourists, even on a one day bus tour we drove 200 miles but the quality of the destinations was extremely poor as it is basically just desert and olive trees. We enjoyed the sea water pool as it didnt have loud music like the main pool and sea. The sea itself was lovely for swimming and extremely hot, maybe 38 degrees in July and only a 1 min walk from our room. The Aqua Park was OK, it has about 10 large slides and a wave pool with DJ, it is mainly local Tunisians which was a welcome change. The Spa was ok but perhaps over priced. There is an astro pitch where people played ad hoc football in the evenings. There is also an xbox and Ps5 room next to the main pool. Hotel clientele was mainly east european and german/italian, very few british. Getting in and out of the airport was very quick and easy unlike for example Marrakech which adds several hours of airport security and gridlock traffic to your journey. The shop owner smokes all day which means the main reception is stinking of cigs all day, and you have to walk through that to get to the restaurant, not sure how he is allowed to get away with this by the management. Communication from the hotel was very poor, there are many events, activities and services available but they dont tell you anything and there is no welcome book in the room, over time you stumble upon the services and facilities, some of which I have mentioned above. For example there is a karaoke guy every evening but he just sits in the corner anonymously, one night someone sang a song with him and then I realised that is what he is being paid to be there for. However these are all small gripes, the fundamentals are good and I would go back again, I can imagine it is lovely in off season when there is less children and heat.

My experience at the Hotel César Thalasso in Djerba was, without exaggeration, one of the worst I've ever had when traveling. From the outset, everything went wrong and culminated in an unacceptable situation of incompetence and disrespect for guests.
We found a used soap inside the shower!
The AC doesnt even work, its like an oven.
The most serious issue was currency exchange: the hotel failed to provide the obligatory stamp on receipts, which prevented us from reconverting dinars at the airport - a basic requirement on any trip to Tunisia. We were the only passengers without the stamp, while other hotel groups had everything in order. In other words, it was the sole negligence of the Hotel César Thalasso, with financial consequences for guests. To make matters worse, the staff denied any responsibility and made evasive excuses, trying to justify a blatant error with false arguments.
Three different employees made the same mistake. This isn't a one-off, it's systematic and reveals a lack of training, organization and professionalism.
The hotel also forces customers to pay deposits in euros and not dinars, which completely contradicts the excuse that they are just following local currency rules. Clearly, they follow what suits them and the guests have to make do.
When we tried to resolve the situation, the response was disrespectful and without any intention of taking responsibility or returning the money lost. They offered no real solutions - only vague promises and irrelevant suggestions
If you value your money and time DONT COME HERE!
