First time we’ve stayed here and it will be the last. Staff were not overly friendly and were very unhelpful when we had an issue with some equipment in our room. The room we had was a junior suite. Sounds good but it was very tired looking, very small bathroom area, nowhere to hang your towels while you showered and absolutely no privacy on your very tiny balcony. The wardrobe was in the bathroom area which is very weird making that space extremely cramped. We only stayed bed and breakfast and can only say the food was very average. There are two areas for sunbathing one is round the pool in a courtyard area the other on the roof which has beautiful views of the sea. However there is no shade! No parasols which I accept may be difficult due to the wind, however I would have expected some shady areas for those of us that don’t want to spend the whole day in direct sunlight. Very disappointed.

We're back at this amazing hotel for another year, and it's exceeded our expectations once again. Antonio, the manager, and Laura Cabellos, the assistant manager, have provided exceptional service and warm welcome. The whole team is incredibly friendly and always willing to lend a hand. The hotel boasts fantastic restaurants, bars, and the highlight is the Sky Bar on the top floor with breathtaking views. We're absolutely smitten with this hotel and give it a 100% recommendation.

I went there on September last year (2024) and the hotel staff was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay there for almost a week. It has incredible views to bay and I would encourage everyone to go for the room with views to sea.
I had a small issue with the reservation but Cati, the receptionist, and Laura Cabellos, the Assistant manager, solved it really quickly. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

A perfect getaway – exceptional service in beautiful surroundings.
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel operates at a truly high standard. The staff were outstanding – not only warm and welcoming, but consistently attentive throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, offering personalised touches that really exceeded our expectations.
There is a handy app which has all the facilities opening hours, and menus including what is within the All Inclusive food and drinks, what activities are available to book, and any events such as sunset yoga on the rooftop, salsa in the bar, entertainment, etc.
The entire property was impeccably clean, from the pristine rooms to the well-maintained impressive common areas – notably, the beautiful lobby bar with panoramic views. Our room featured an idyllic view over the water, making it the perfect spot to unwind – whether with a morning coffee or a sunset glass of wine.
The atmosphere was incredibly peaceful, ideal for anyone looking to relax and recharge in a beautiful setting.
Another highlight is the location. Just a short 5-minute walk away is a charming little harbour (Cales Fonts), a strip of waterfront restaurants/bars, and near the town square, a few convenience stores and a pharmacy – everything you might need, right at your fingertips, all within a 5-10 minute stroll.
All in all, this hotel delivers an exceptional experience. If you're looking for comfort and quality service, look no further.
One of the things that set this hotel apart is the option to personalise your stay with thoughtfully curated experiences.
We indulged in a deeply relaxing massage by Itzi in the spa, followed by cocktails on the rooftop bar, relaxing in the jacuzzis in the sunshine, overlooking the beautiful coastline.
We also booked a private romantic dinner for two followed by a jacuzzi on the rooftop session one evening. Just as we were getting dressed for dinner, a storm erupted and a terrific downpour ensued. The rooftop jacuzzi session now seemed less appealing, but heading to dinner we realised we would have to cross the open air terrace to get to our table for two. The hotel manager, Paloma, was of course already two steps ahead, armed with umbrellas to escort us! The dinner was set up with silver service, thankfully undercover, candlelit, chilled wines and our own waiter, which happened to be the fantastic front of house, Rafael.
The Chef, Francesc, created a phenomenal meal for both of us. We were impressed with the care shown in preparing a special vegetarian dish upon request for me – fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. We enjoyed starters of a meats and cheese platter, and stuffed zucchini (which was my favourite meal of the whole holiday), followed by mains of a local lobster dish, and vegetable noodles. We shared the two desserts of a pistachio cake and Basque cheesecake. A wonderful experience, despite the weather!
Watching the rain hammer down the palm trees, with the string lights dancing in the gales, we laughed at our attempt of a quiet romantic meal under the stars followed by a rooftop jacuzzi session amongst lightning strikes. Raphael explained that should we want to, we could indeed still have the jacuzzi, but if we prefer, they would open the spa downstairs for us. A much better option! We enjoyed time in the sauna, steam room and shower experience (the hotel refers to this the thermal circuit) in lieu of the nighttime rooftop jacuzzi.
We will certainly cherish memories of this trip forever, and cannot thank the staff enough for making it extra special for us. Paloma, Rafael, Chef Francesc, Itzi and colleagues, you are an enormous credit to BARCELÓ HAMILTON, Es Castell.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed there 4 days and it was awesome. The food is great, the people are very nice, the view is incredible… Just an amazing experience !
