Let me start by saying please don’t listen to the negative reviews. We had a fabulous time from start to finish, our 10 day stay on our family vacation was great. The staff were such hard working and kind helpful people. Hats off to all staff at this resort from the bell boys, to the maids servers etc all fantastic. A special thanks to our housekeeper Juana Guzman for always keeping our room tidy and filling our fridge. The food was good, especially the French and seafood restaurant. Best drinks are found at Lobby bar 2.

We stayed here in the fall and were very pleased with this hotel. The food here is great, there were different dishes every day. Although the weather was not very sunny during our stay, there was enough entertainment on the hotel grounds to enjoy our stay here. The only downside was that the hotel description states that the staff also understand English, but at the reception we were served by a girl who did not understand basic words, but I consider this a small downside, although the check-in was quite long. We really liked the pools, the area around them, the wonderful cocktails at the bar. There are wonderful shops on the hotel grounds where you can buy souvenirs. The room is good, we had a wonderful view from the window. Perhaps the rooms need restoration, but this is due to the heat. Overall, we are very happy with our stay and thank you for making our vacation wonderful

I recently stayed at Occidental Caribe in Punta Cana, and overall, it was a fantastic experience! The resort is beautiful, with stunning beachfront views, well-maintained pools, and lush gardens that create a tropical paradise. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a relaxing space to unwind after a day in the sun. The food options were great, with a variety of restaurants serving delicious meals, from local Dominican flavors to international cuisine. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The entertainment team was lively, keeping the energy high with fun activities throughout the day. The only downside was the loud music that played until late at night. While I understand that many guests enjoy the nightlife, it would have been nice if there were designated quiet areas or better soundproofing for those who prefer to rest earlier. If you're a light sleeper, bringing earplugs might be a good idea. Despite that, I would still highly recommend Occidental Caribe for anyone looking for a fun and relaxing getaway in Punta Cana. Just be prepared for some late-night noise if you’re hoping for a peaceful evening! 🌴✨

Great hotel, beautiful grounds. Well kept and clean. Food has good variety and lots of restaurants to choose from. But the best part was the fun we had with the entertainment team at the pool. Special thanks to Juan Mateo who got us up and playing all the games and really enjoying our days. Would definitely recommend

Overall our experience was good. We enjoyed ourselves. The pool was great. The beach was beautiful. Customer service was excellent. The spa staff did an amazing job! Would definitely do it again. The buffet was good. The hibachi food ans service was good too The Dominican restaurant the food and service was good too. Overall the staff are nice and attentive and the entertainment staff do well in making sure people have a good time. Unfortunately the room was a little dated. 2 of the lamps didn't work no matter what light switch combos we tried. The toilet handle was loose and had a hard time working. The shower was a narrow and I kept hitting the wall handle with my elbow. The gym needs to be upgraded. 2 of the machines did not work and the free weights (dumbells) had no labels of what weight each one was. Chuki was the best! 💪🏽👍🏼

The resort is great, older but very maintained. Awesome for kids. The service is superb. We had a waiter named @Teofilio Mercedes, the best service and kind care for our needs. I n multiple days we saw him and above and beyond! Will be coming back!

Well well were do I begin.. Air Transat take note!!!!!!!! This place was given 4.5 rating while people who at the resort confirmed this is a 3 star rating!!!!. At the most! This is my second time here since the first time was so great we decided to come back! Not so happy this time around and wont be back! We asked to change room since the first room looked at the back of the building and was accommodated a room in front of the pool! Please keep in mind we gave up a supreme room which we didn't mind as long as we got the standard services ! Celebrating our 25 yrs!! Great! But then the issues started we have a toilet that continues to gurgle when it feels like it night or day and gave to flush it 3-6 times before it decides to stop! Asked the front desk sent me someone who speaks only spanish and didnt do nothing because it stopped the gurgling sound! I have a video of it to show it to him but he didn't want you even see it! Got fed up and said to myyou even see it! Got fed up and said to my husband let it gurgle till it stops! Then we have no lock on our chain door so at night we locked the door and put a chair in the back so hopefully if anything g should happen we would be woken by the noise! The room was cleaned the first week no issues there, second week starts and waited over 1 hour to get towels in our room and-if i didnt ask for bottled water there was none given to us! Spoke today with the air transat rep Johnathan and he took down our list of issues and i was told to me or my husband I would have to go back to check on the update! WTF answer is that! But will do Its april 13 2005 and 4.05 and the cleaning crew just came in because my husband lost it! Everyday i tidy our room so theres not much to do so why is it so hard to do the bare minimum! More to come as we have 13 days to go in this place! Unfortunately cant put the video of the toilet! Which i have kept as proof! And the disappointment continues! Even after speaking with the higher up management we still have the same issues! Nothing has been resolved! Add photos

Great experience, rooms were clean, service was good, location was amazing. Food was very good and the pizzeria in the 2nd floor are also good. I tried the a la carte restaurants, seafood, oriental, and meat (las reces) and they were all very good. Drinks have space for improvement, a lot of wasted drinks because they aren’t very good. If you want good drinks go to the lobby bar and look for Julio!!

This was my first ever experience at an all inclusive resort. Right away we were greeted by our lovely friend Oscar. Every morning he messaged us checking in to see if we needed anything, and was always super helpful. If I ever find the time to come back, I’ll be requesting Oscar!

The food was average at best, the service was the same. A few people were extremely helpful but most were indifferent. The resort was nice. But for 300 plus a night I would have expected better food and service. Even the speciality restaurants were pretty bad. Nothing special about them. Other than the difficulty getting a reservation. They only accept reservations between 8 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. That's when most people are out on excursions. And don't ask for an exception. It ain't happening. The phone in the room didn't work, the faucet on the bathroom sink was falling off, and we had ants that it took them two days to get rid of. It's worth maybe $170 a night. Not the 300 they ask. The excursions were great. Water was beautiful. Swimming was amazing. And for a thrill. The police chasing a guy with a machete through the crowd on one of the 4 wheelers excursions. He ran right at us. Whoohoo

We were there for a reunion with my sister and brother in law. Spent 14 days. The weather was great. There are activities by the pool or the beach, at the square or the theater everyday. Lots of dancing, games and parties. The pool was great, the beach had rocks but just wear water shoes and it works. The food, it would be impossible for anyone not to find something they like. The service! They’re friendly and polite. Had the best masseuse named Orbida. Enjoyed it so much that I went for another massage before going home. Also had a great “maid” named Carmen Santana. Cleaned our room every day and refilled our refrigerator. We lived in block 4, which is close to everything. We just loved it.

As a first time all inclusive resort vacationer traveling on my own with limited Spanish, this was an adventure. Wish someone had given me the guide to resort living. Have to give a special shout out to Lidia, from the spa, and Carlos, the bellhop, who went above and beyond to show me around and make me feel welcome. The rooms were okay, though my shower for didn't close. Getting around was lots of walking, and so many chairs at the beach were "saved" even in the VIP areas making finding shade a premium. The good was average with some pretty hefty wait time for the best spots. The sales pitch from the vacation club was extremely rude and aggressive - 0/5 stars and really put a downer on that day. The Amstar tour to the sugar cane field and cacao and coffee home was amazing with my favorite tour guide, Usvaldo. Overall, a good time.

I do not recommend this hotel !!! The service in this hotel is hopeless. If you speak English and not Spanish, you will be served second. It happened more than once that the service did not want to serve us in the restaurant and we had to wait a really long time and it is not a problem to leave a tip because every time we left tips and were smiling, despite this, the service made a big problem to serve us. Once during dinner in a Mexican restaurant we were not even served drinks with dinner despite asking three times and reminding that we ordered drinks. The service in the buffet is a complete misunderstanding, during breakfast every day we had no cutlery on the table, we had no water on the table, we had to go after the waiters and ask for cutlery and ask for water for coffee, a really bad experience that I definitely do not recommend. The cleaning service did not do their job exactly, it was always dirty in the room, they never left us fresh water in bottles. Bottled water could only be taken from the cafe and it was not always available there so it was a big problem for us because we had a small child with us who did not drink the water served by the waiters we needed bottled water and very often there was none we simply had to go to the reception to report problems and ask for water. The food was average sometimes dinners were quite tasty but there was a lot of old and not fresh food meat and fish were almost always undercooked so you really had to be careful. My partner and I had food poisoning and friends who came with us also came back with food poisoning and had exactly the same experience with the service as us. We had ants in our room three times after reporting it to the reception a man came and sprayed the room the ants disappeared but the smell in the room stayed for two or three days and it was not comfortable. On the good side of this This is definitely a beautiful beach however you have to have water shoes with you because entering the water is very rocky and dangerous. Another cool thing is the Entertainment and the group that is responsible for it, very nice people, very positive, smiling and a really big plus for this team. We also used various trips, we sailed to the island, sauna, Catalina Island and it was a nice experience. However, despite all this, I would definitely not return to this hotel because of the service and I would definitely choose another hotel.

Very nice beach. All the staff is super nice, patient, kind, and smilly. I never felt i bothered anyone with special requests. The food variety is ok.. get up early to get a long chair. You can see the sunset. Its quiet music wise, but there is animation at different moments and places.

i been to a lot of resort this is my first time writing a review this one hand down the most rudeness staff for the main buffet , kaleidoscope has better staff they were a lot nicer and very attentive. mexican food at la a cart was good some nice staff overall decent . we went there a group of 23 people book to celebrate 5 people for march birthday .we book for Chopsticks. wow the head staff or something he was so rude and was annoyed that our family was that big .. once we were seated my husband told him there 5 people birthday today he said he we didn’t book it for birthday and he doesn’t have cake , he said we need to buy the cake to bring it in . i thought i was in all inclusive resort . my husband ask but if they have dessert they can bring it out to sing for them . i’m not sure what his name is but he was bald he was so rude . let just said there was no celebrating at the chopsticks a la cart. this resort only have two drinks soda coke or spirits. . absolutely no provide service at the pool or beach you have to walk to the drink center to get it yourself. coco cafe make really good coffee .. and be very careful of you are eating meat most meat is raw .. cooked outside raw inside . but i have to said the entertainment is decent .. make sure you have water shoes to go in the beach, the beach is so rocky it cut my leg and my niece leg ..
