Nice hotel, good food but very steep walk to beach and back. Otherwise there's nowhere really to walk to. There is a bus, but you'd have to be fairly mobile to get to the stop. We had a hire car, which was great. A short taxi ride would take you to a different world at Morro Jable or Mal Nombre.
The rooms were good except there was only 1 drawer and some hanging space. Enough for a short holiday but difficult for 13days.
We were 'My favourite' customers so had the use of a little lounge and terrace all day, which was a godsend. It also meant we had better air-conditioning in our bit of the restaurant, but also meant we had virtually no interaction with waiting staff.
The hotel loudspeaker seemed to have no volume control and it felt like rapid, incomprehensible, instructions were being shouted or music blasting a lot of the time.

We stayed at the Alua Village Hotel in August and, while there were some positives, unfortunately, our overall experience was disappointing and not what we expected from a 4-star resort.
To start with the positives, the hotel itself was clean and well-maintained, and the rooms were modern and comfortable. However, unless you pay extra for a sea view, the standard rooms offer little to no view at all. Our outdoor area was located right next to a pathway, meaning there was a constant stream of people walking past on their way to the pool or beach, which didn’t make for a relaxing atmosphere.
Although the hotel advertises beach access, the reality is far from convenient. The walk back from the beach is extremely steep, with uneven ground, making it quite difficult—especially for those not used to hiking terrain. It's not suitable for families with young children, the elderly, or anyone with mobility concerns.
The location of the resort is also quite remote. The nearest town is around €10 each way by taxi, and we found ourselves leaving the hotel most days just to find things to do. The hotel did not cater to English-speaking guests at all, which left us feeling quite isolated. Daytime activities and entertainment were not accessible or engaging for us, and we felt very disconnected from the resort experience.
The food was one of the biggest letdowns. It was very repetitive and on several occasions, there was nothing my partner could eat. She had to resort to buying snacks from the on-site shop, which was massively overpriced—€4 for a packet of crisps, for example. Additionally, dishes were often mislabeled and staff in the restaurant didn’t speak English, making it difficult to understand what we were being served.
Service was also hit-or-miss. The bar staff at the daytime snack bar were frequently rude and made us feel uncomfortable when ordering drinks. In the evenings, the main bar was clearly understaffed, and long waits for drinks were the norm. As for the nighttime entertainment, again, it was not tailored to English guests at all. Most evenings we ended up just sitting outside, drinking quietly without much atmosphere.
In summary, while the hotel looks good on the surface, it doesn’t deliver when it comes to comfort, inclusivity, and overall guest experience—especially for English-speaking visitors. We wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend it unless some major improvements are made.

Yes rooms, service and location was great, I cannot add anything to that. Foodwise, they had vegetarian/vegan options, but those rely on beans, cheese or eggs. After a few days of that, I got enough of that. I would recommend using some meat replacement products, you can do a lot with those nowadays. Like tofu, TVP, seitan, tempeh, or just those meat replacements from the supermarket, like those plant based steaks, or plants based chicken. The other thing would be the cocktails, those were not that great, at least not the ones that are part of the all inclusive deal. The only one that tasted ok was the Tequila Sunrise, I highly recommend asking them to put an extra shot of tequila in there. They do, and that kicks it up a notch. The service and staff was amazing, the rooms were amazing, the location, the pool, the beach was amazing. The gym could use a little update, but I don't think lots of people use it, so I do understand why they don't update it. All and all, great experience.

Me and partner stayed here for 5 days, we booked this as a budget holiday and did go into it with open minds as we do have quite high standards, overall we had a pleasant experience with only a few things to comment on
First the hotel itself, the outdoor space and the rooms are well kept and looked after, it’s a lovely hotel however the bathrooms in the rooms are quite dated and do need some modernising, the room itself is super spacious so has so much potential, although it was lacking an iron, we had a slight Sea/Mountain View and it was really nice.
There is a gym (although the equipment is quite dated) there’s also lots of activities scheduled for each day (aqua gym, volleyball, aerobics etc), also had a spa but we didn’t use this.
The shop inside the hotel can be pricey however for little bits it is good as the hotel is quite remote.
Food wise the food hygiene needs improvement as there are flies going on the food, they have a fairly decent selection each day with some staple options, however it does lack in variety, they had themed nights which does change it up a bit however nothing is labelled clearly with what it is, if it contains nuts etc, some dishes don’t even have a label at all
The local beach is nice with clear water however we were told that there was a 10 minute walk but they didn’t state that this would be fairly steep and uneven, you also have to pay to use the sun loungers at the beach which we weren’t made aware of, it was far too hot to sit without an umbrella.
Our own fault but we didn’t realise how far it was from the airport (1 hour drive depending on what time you arrive, we arrived at 8:30pm and it was 1 hour) - it is a really remote location so would have to get a taxi or bus if you wanted to go anywhere, don’t let this stop you however the taxi fare did cost €115 from the airport.
The entertainment wasn’t really for us being a young couple and also English so we ended up spending the evening in our hotel room, it would be great if there was evening entertainment outside or something more catered to English/young people.
Overall we had a really relaxing stay which we did intend to have!

The hotel is beautiful and well-maintained. During our stay, the second pool was being renovated, but it didn't bother us in any way, in fact it was nice to see that someone actually cares about the visual aspect. The rooms are spacious and clean, cleaned every day. The cleaning staff and reception staff are very nice, friendly, smiling and helpful. Unfortunately, that's all the pluses. The food is boring, repetitive, often poorly prepared. We expected a low standard of food from such a cheap all-inclusive offer, but what we got was very basic. The birds that ate from the bowls were chased away, and the bowls continued to be left on the buffet as if nothing had happened. Carbonated drinks were not available during breakfast, and the water, tea or coffee smelled of chlorine. As for alcohol, some bartenders tried to charge us for something that was in the all-inclusive offer, which we also didn't like and made us prefer to buy alcohol in the store than constantly ask for it. As for the animation team, this was the thing that bothered us the most. If you don't speak French, forget about any interaction with them. All the entertainment during the day or in the evening was only in French, and if you tried to take part in it, you were ignored. I wouldn't go back to this hotel again and I certainly wouldn't recommend it.
