-A warm welcome from the reception staff during our stay.
-Regarding the food, we expected more from the Greek cuisine since there was not much choice, especially since we were with children (I want to emphasize that the kitchen manager offered us that we could always ask for a menu according to our choice for the children).
-I recommend that the elevator be adjusted so that access to the beach is easier to go to or back from, especially for older people (But anyone who could ask at the reception could offer the possibility of sending them with their own means of transport). The beach and sand are clean and a large space among others where children can play freely (During our stay i saw that more umbrellas were needed since there were more tourists than their number and most, even though they did not stay in umbrellas, were covered with towels and could stay empty for a long time).
-The beach bar should have had more options for drinks and food (one day there was only a pork option and the other days the chicken option ran out very quickly).
-During our All Inclusive booking, a dinner at the Antonis tavern was included. During the booking communication, they told us that we could make a reservation when we got to the hotel. When we arrived, they told us that they had to be reserved before we went and they were full. After insisting, on the last night of our stay, they reserved a table for us. We thank the guy at the reception because if it wasn't for him, we wouldn't have tried it as an experience.
-Anyway, I think you deserve 5 stars because the stay was value for money and your strong point is the staff.
-I suggest everyone to ask for what they have offered to get the service because it is not lacking.

A terrible experience – avoid at all costs!
I stayed at Alexander the Great Beach Hotel and it was, without a doubt, one of the worst accommodation experiences I’ve ever had. The staff is extremely rude, speaking aggressively to guests with a complete lack of professionalism. Their attitude makes you feel like you’re bothering them just by being there.
The room I stayed in was filthy – dirty floors, bad smell, and damaged furniture. Absolutely unacceptable for a hotel that claims to offer quality service. The conditions were nothing like the photos. Everything looked neglected and poorly maintained.
I strongly do not recommend this hotel. If you care about your comfort, safety, and money, look elsewhere. This place is a complete disgrace and an insult to paying guests.

Really disappointing experience.
The “bed” provided for the third adult (even though we paid the full price) was simply unacceptable — actually a fold-out chair suitable for a child.
The sunbeds on the beach were in terrible condition (if you were lucky enough to find any available at all), and there were no coffee tables between them, so we had to keep our drinks directly in the sand. The bar at the beach is also in a very bad condition, it simply contains a few tables with a cold wire-frame chairs with no cushions.
Some of the staff were surprisingly impolite — although, to be fair, there were a few kind ones. The food and drinks were mediocre at best, with low-quality ingredients.
The rooms were far from clean, and overall maintenance seemed neglected. It took three full days for us to receive a replacement for the broken extra bed, which was just as uncomfortable as the first.
I’ll attach photos of both “beds” so you can judge for yourself which one was worse. Definitely not worth the money we paid, and we would not return.
Not to mention that the LIFT WAS NOT WORKING (the information we were not informed about) and it took about 150 stairs to reach the beach and that experience I would not even comment.

Mitsis Alexander the Great never disappoints — this is my third stay and it just keeps getting better. The hotel offers incredible hospitality, pristine beach and surroundings, and a truly welcoming environment for the whole family. The food is delicious, the all-inclusive is generous and honest (not one of those so-called all-inclusives), and the overall experience is pure relaxation. It’s a place I’d return to again and again!

Hotel with great perspective, but.... Elevator to the beach must work, not even a question (we do not care about your explanations). Just imagine how it is to the old people to come down to the beach (165 or 110 stairs, down and up). Even if by some mircale they come to the beach, there are not enough sunbeds & umbrellas. This is also mandatory for Mitis group to resolve if they want to compete with other hotels in Mitis group. People came to vacation, not to compete with others who get up early enough to "make reservation" on sunbed with their towells. Sunbeds & umbrellas are so old, that my ancestors remember them. Beach bar needs to be renovated. Food needs to have more variety options even if it means more cost to the final customer. I am pretty sure that people who were here in 2025, will not come back to this hotel. They are even short stuff which is obvious, or they are not well organized. Hotel stuff are the best recomendation of the hotel. Alway welcome you, with smile, happy to help, keep wathering those guys. Overall experience 3 - 3.5. Maybe will come back in 5 - 10 years to see if Mitis group matched expectations. O yeah wi fi... You can connect it every 4 years. Invest in better wi fi infrastructure.
