Spent a very enjoyable week there with friends. I really liked that they did not remove towels unless I kept them on the floor. The bed was made beautifully each day. They should promote the location of their recycling area, which I found by chance. Day tours can be booked at reception gor pick up across the road.
Reception and restaurant staff were very helpful and friendly.

Like God's waiting room
People going out putting towels on sunbeds at 6 am Food not good for a 4 star 😕 cooked breakfast luke warm and continental breakfast poor
Evening meals bland.
Unless you bung the waiting staff a few euros forget it not friendly if you don't. On the plus side great location rooms adequate for what you need and the pools areas are good.
There is entertainment every night but we didn't go because we ate out every night except for the 1st one.
The area is very lively with some great bars and restaurants I would definitely visit again but not at the Vic.

Very disappointed with my stay. The Hotel clearly shows on their website Wi-Fi is available in bedrooms. This is not the case and when brought to the attention of three different employees, got a similar reaction from all. Booked a winter week break with the intention of doing some work, including Teams calls. So purposely booked a "four star hotel", If you intend using Wi-Fi while on holiday give this place a miss.

Decent ,if slightly dated hotel on the northern fringe of the resort. Nice staff. Clients tend to be elderly and polite.Food is OK,but it's beachfront location on the water is definitely its biggest asset.

A FRANK & HONEST REVIEW
My wife & I are in our late 50s and visited in November for 4 days. I had to laugh at the rewiew where it describes this place as GOD'S WAITING ROOM. So true!
There are steps everywhere. There are even steps to the lifts, in the dining room & in the pool area. It's not really laid out for people with mobility issues
There are some very friendly and helpful staff.
We had an issue with cockroaches in our ground floor room & the reception staff offered to fumigate it or change the room. That was nice to be offered a move rather than have to ask. They were coming under the front door which had a big gap at the bottom (as did many, which I couldn't help think wasn't very fire safe).
The bathroom was clean & adequate. There was a shower in the first room & a shower bath in the second room. Both shower plumbing had both rainforest shower & traditional shower heads. Water was hot and never ran out.
Toiletries were poor (see photos). This isn't the sort of offering I've witnessed in other 4* hotels in the Canaries. The hairdryer was hardwired into its socket. Towels were practical although not far from end of life.
Beach towels can be rented for free, but there is a €10 refundable deposit required in CASH!
The bedroom is extremely dated but clean. I thought I saw some modern rooms when booking & assumed the dated rooms were just old photos. Don't believe it! This place is 'mahogany heaven'. Those with mobility issues might struggle to navigate it. There was a safe but that isn't free. Air-con was fine. Patio doors wouldn't lock properly.
The beds are quite large old sprung type mattresses that come with a side table (weirdly ony one side has a power outlet to charge a mobile - I bet it was designed before mobile phones existed!) Wi-Fi is basic. It has a splash page so only devices that can navigate past that will connect (I couldn't get my Go-Pro connected even when using a Wi-Fi bridge).
There was no tea/coffee/kettle in the room
Fridge was small & a little old/well-used with no free water
TV had the 5 main UK channels and it's a flat-screen (not a CRT which wouldn't have looked out of place here!).
The dining room layout is very crowded & doesn't lend itself to good traffic management. Food was very "school dinners" type & never particularly hot or tasty. There was a wide selection of food but you have to be quick or they would run out. They also ran out of other things like, bowls, cups, cutlery. The toasters are so low powered/unajustable you have to put the bread through 4+ times for it to get any colour. This was the major culprit of traffic jams. There are few decafinated drinks & the smallest cups in the world!
The pool area has fixed parasols, so you have to move the sunbeds to get sun or shade. These sunbeds look new but boy do they sag.
Everybody smokes everywhere: I couldn't see a smoking area to direct them to. The outdoor pool bar was poor & looked like it was going out of business.
There are exits to the beach at ground level. Because they're are big palm trees to the right, to get the sun, you need to sit to the left as you look out to sea. Over to the right they had table tennis & a pool table that I never saw used.
We never went in the multi-level evening bar area as it didn't look inviting. The music was ancient & the chairs looked extremely uncomfortable.
There are some shops on site in a little arcade but quite niche so never felt the need to take a look.
In summary, this is an outdated 3* Hotel stuck in a time warp (not in an ironic or intended way). I expect the hotel reply to thank me for the honest feedback and that they will incorporate it in their future plans. But I've seen them say that before & it's clear nothing much changes. I don't think I'll be coming back again.
My aim isn't to put people off going here but instead offer genuine help to the hotel to make improvements & to keep up with their peers.
