Nice resort that's peaceful, well-kept and modern. Service is hit and miss, with it being sometimes painfully slow. The staff are super friendly though, just usually not enough of them at the bar and most of them have no urgency at all – you'd think they were the ones on holiday at times! Not great considering you'll pay over €20 for a brandy and Coke.
Villas are lovely and clean, but could be better for the money. I advise against upgrading to a suite, as it's really not worth the extra cost. The shower is also poor and the beds aren't that comfortable either. Very thin walls too, so if you have pissed Scottish blokes next-door (like two of our villas did), then you'll hear everything they say until 1am–2am in the morning.
Breakfast was pretty flavourless despite a large amount of options. I didn't eat dinner but had a pizza from the bar a couple of times, which was good. I heard good things about the buffet, which had a great variety every night. We instead ate out however.
Hotel is near absolutely nothing btw. If you want to walk to a shop, it's not an option. Taxis however are really cheap so it's only 7-8 mins to go to nearest one.
Overall, small issues that stop it being five star, but a great stay nonetheless and would consider returning for sure.

First time here and loved it , great hotel, great location, uber is €10 to Villamoura Marina for all local bars and restaurants.
Golf courses great well looked after, 5 min walk from hotel to courses.
Buggies a little over priced at €55 a pop but courses are pretty flat so walking the courses won't be a problem.
Breakfast nice and open until 11am for those who like a good lie in.

Very friendly hotel staff are very attentive, we had a room issue at first where we required a double bed. But this was rectified very quickly, can’t fault the staff at all! Some of the rooms do require updating but they are cleaned every day meticulously. And I must recommend a massage with Ruth she is absolutely amazing! All in all a great hotel in a beautiful location.

We visited for a golf trip in October and were very happy with the resort, its value and facilities. The course is split into three different 9-holes and can be tough with narrow fairways throughout as this course feels like it has been squeezed in. Tennis courts, swimming pools and sauna were available to use and it’s a short taxi away from the Marina.
