The place is very clean, stylish and a real 5-star hotel. Rooms are very clean & nice. Great atmosphere. We went to free Pilates session & cookie session. Service is very accommodating, sauna open specially for us untill 21:00 instead of 18:00. Food is nice but only 1 restaurant available during low season.

Amazing — that’s the word that best sums up our stay at Amirandes.
We spent 4 wonderful days there and wished we could have stayed longer.
The very first thing that struck us was the beauty of the place — absolutely breathtaking. But also the cleanliness, the facilities, the room, the food, and the professionalism of the staff.
We would like to thank two people in particular:
• Electra, at the reception, who was incredibly kind and made us feel like truly special guests.
• Eleni, at the main restaurant, who made sure — together with her team — that my daughter, who has coeliac disease, always had safe and suitable dishes to enjoy. She even arranged a personalised lunch bag for our return trip, which made my daughter so happy.
I’ve travelled a lot, but it’s rare to come across a hotel of such remarkable quality.
Our goal was to relax and recharge… and we absolutely did.

Very overrated property. Facilities look beautiful but appearances are deceiving. I booked via Mr and Mrs Smith which has a known affiliation with Hyatt and as a result am entitled to receiving points/night credits. Upon check out, hotel staff refused to acknowledge this. Nevertheless, I received my points and night credits but why tell me such contradictory information?
Air Conditioning is turned off due to “winter” season. The room is much hotter than outside. I had to request a fan and keep the balcony door open, to keep the room tolerable. But it was at the expense of my privacy and increased the noise level in my room due to neighboring guests.
. Food quality. Buffet food was absolutely terrible. A la carte options were mediocre at best and horribly overpriced. I almost could not even get a reservation at these restaurants, since they are usually all taken a day before. Unfortunately I arrived in the evening, and all the reservations were taken for the evening. I had to beg reception to allow me to have a last minute meal. And yet when I arrived to the restaurant, very few guests were eating with many many tables available. In other words, you have to reserve at least a day in advance for nearly all the restaurants otherwise you’re out of luck for a table.
I had to use meal voucher for lunch (breakfast included for stay voucher could not be used for dinner. The voucher had the wrong room number written on it. The only chance I could use it was shortly before their horrible buffet restaurant opened at 12:30 pm. I had to leave the hotel by 12:30 pm. Being proactive, I spoke with reception the night before. They said I could go to the restaurant 30 minutes before they opened to use the voucher and have a quick lunch. Unfortunately, I spent 15 minutes arguing with restaurant staff since they refused to serve me food. I felt very uncomfortable eating their unpleasant food in a rush. Additionally, contemptuous eyes of the restaurant staff were looking at me as if I had committed a crime.
Majority of these issues have been supported by other negative reviews on google and trip advisor as well as hearing other guests at the restaurants while I was eating

I was not a resort person until this place!!!! Please stay here. I wish I didn't have to leave. The team here was great. From the time of check in with Electra, who was great in sharing the amenities of the property. Evgenia, for answering all of our questions at the front desk. Anastasia for greeting us each morning during breakfast with a warm smile and delicious coffee. The chefs, cleaning crew and spa team were all so helpful and nice. They had fantastic vegan options at all the restaurants we visited from the breakfast buffet, to the Blue Monkey, Xasteria and Minotaur which we truly appreciated. The property was beautifully maintained. They even had an outdoor gym! Great place to relax and enjoy Crete at the same time.

Heaven on earth, we spent Christmas and New Year with you and my husband has not stopped talking about it since. The staff were amazing and went the extra mile on everything. The breakfast was sensational and we throughly enjoyed our stay, would recommend Crete and this beautiful hotel this time of the year. Look forward to booking with you again. Wendy Perrin
