We last stayed at the hotel 4 years ago, and have just left after staying for 2 weeks with family. The stand out thing from our holiday was definitely the animation team!
They work so hard and offer lots of different activities throughout the day and night. During our stay the team put on a performance of "Lion King" which was fantastic from make up, costumes to acting. We also loved the aqua gym in the pool, my husband went everyday we were on our holiday!!
All the team are really friendly, smiley, chatty and approachable. They always have time to chat to you. A special shout out to Jessica who my daughter fell in love with and wanted to bring home with us.
The team will really make your stay at the hotel🙂

It's starting to look tired. We've been visiting for 3 years and have decided that without an imminent refurbishment, we will not return.
Chipped furnishings, even in reception, give an immediately run-down look.
It took 5 attempts to get two extra pillows, and service at the evening bars was always very slow.
The entertainment is dire! Unless you are under 30, be prepared for thumping music every evening. They even consider this to be music to "chill-out to"!!! Renata, one evening's singer, considered "rock/disco" music as her "romantic" offering! The same music is also used for the aqua-gym run by the animation team, with volume turned up to full. They comprise a group of very young men being paid to have their own disco excitement regardless of their audience. There was only a third of the usual number taking part compared to previous years.
On a positive note, the food is excellent with good choices at all meal times but few hot plates to put it on. The rooms are spacious with quiet air conditioning but no ceiling fan. The bathroom shower is excellent. The bed is large, comfortable, and warm at night, but we did need two extra pillows. Tea and coffee were available.
One of the pools is beautifully warm, yet the other is shockingly cold. The pool bar is great, and there's a coffee machine together with a variety of snacks.
Sorry, but the negatives outweigh the positives, so we won't be coming back.

Really enjoyed our stay over the new year at the Carlota. The hotel is situated opposite the beach and only a 30 min walk along the coast to the town centre.
The rooms are a decent size with fresh towels and room cleaned daily, our room did overlook the road, but we had views to the left of the beach and the mountains to the right, it also meant we got the last of the sun on the balcony as sunset was about 6pm.
Two large main pools of which one is heated and a kiddies play pool and while the hotel was busy we had no issue getting sun loungers at the pool, with plenty of space available around the resort to sunbathe.
We were all inclusive with a great variety of food on offer all week, with different themes each evening. The 3 bars within the complex were well stocked with local wines, spirits and beers-with the pool bar being opened during the day and the Sinatra and Lobby bar during the evening with live entertainment in both.
Found all the staff welcoming and friendly and will definitely return to this hotel in 2024.

Beautiful. Staff was very friendly and helpful and super professional. Food was delicious, every evening something new. Location close to the golf clubs, which is a big bonus for golfers. The pool area was fantastic. Highly recommend, we will definitely book there again!

This was our second stay at this hotel. We love it, food is delicious, staff very friendly and accommodation comfortable. We would have given it 5 stars however there were problems with provision of towels and the WiFi doesn't extend to all areas of the hotel. There was also no mini disco in the evening for a week of our stay which disappointed our grandchildren. Despite this we had a lovely time and would definitely return!!
